I think the war has at least a year to run. Ask the question again in six months and we'll see if the end is still a further 12 months away. Slava Ukraini.

@MalisKrieg I believe that in war, neither side will tell the whole truth. But my observations so far lead me to believe that the Russians never let the truth get in the way of manipulating a story. Everything they say seems to be aimed at causing confusion. All the trolls/bots seem to believe that Ukraine is doing what Russia did, and Russia didn't do it - from injuring and killing the locals, to shelling nuclear power stations, to losing aircraft, to being incredibly corrupt. And enough of it is so obviously BS that I no longer believe a word Russia says.

This is the last of your shows that I will watch Jake. You've put up some interesting ideas over the months, but our tastes differ on the subject of Gaza and that has prompted me to part ways. I unsubscribed a few days ago, and I will not watch any more of your videos. Cheerio.

@mathieusimoneau3358 Just as nonsensical as a country that signed the UN Charter and holds a permanent seat on the security council, making a mockery of said Charter, and constantly threatening atomic war.
1
@mathieusimoneau3358 "you should go research the historical reasons behind the security coincil." It appears that you are the naive one.

It looks like you are playing into the hands of the ruSSians here Jake. You pointed out that they are pleased that the Israel-Gaza conflict is distracting from the ruSSian invasion of Ukraine. Here we have 17 minutes on Ukraine and 12 on Israel-Gaza. Please stop pleasing the ruSSians, and start a separate blog on Israel-Gaza - before you lose regular viewers here. I am poised to walk away from your channel (having already unsubscribed yesterday). Slava Ukraini, and slava Palestine.

I think it's a great idea to trade land for peace. Lets give russia land, in return for the withdrawal of russian troops in Ukraine. As this is Sholtz's idea, lets give East Germany (former GDR) to the russians.

The Ukrainian national anthem has gone to the dogs... lol Slava Ukraini.

Hi Jake. Information seems to indicate that the strike in Poltava was a military training institute. I note that Zelensky's statement doesn't say that the victims were civilians. This doesn't make things better - but at least it was a legitimate military target (for a change). Hopefully Ukraine will learn from this. Gathering that many personnel in that area was a serious mistake. We need those men fighting on the fronts.
1
@laurie9557 Apparently it was. So a legitimate target where most of the victims were located. However there may have also been a strike on a nearby hospital - which is NOT a legitimate target.

@enriqueperezarce5485 I would agree that's it's probably exaggerated. On the other hand 100,000 is far to low. It would be fair to say that well over the 265,000 Russians are dead, injured or maimed - likely closer to 500,000 dead and maimed Russians. But what does Putin care?
1
@jurgnobs1308 Except that Ukrainian estimates are 265k dead Russians (man, that feels good to say). None of us can do more than guestimate the actual numbers - but I feel more comfortable with Russian deaths at 175 to 200k. 100k is far too low. When you look at the meatwave attacks around Bakhmut you account for nearly half of 100,000. There have been many times when Ukraine has taken out hundreds of Russian troops at a time: many Himars strikes; 400+ on the Moskova, etc. and taking into account that an abnormally high number of Russian WIA become KIA.

@GCarty80 Yeah, and....?

I predict that within a few months Trump will have outlived his usefulness, and will be assasinated in order that Vance become president. I'm sure that Musk and Thiel regularly review progress with their dismantling of democracy in the US, and it will come to a point where they no longer need having a bozo in the White House.

@MargauxMachek Somewhere in Ukraine. Does it matter? It obviously wasn't on the front lines (or those wind instruments might have had more holes - lol), but then they never claimed it was.
1
@ralphrodriguez2339 Sorry, but not true.
1
@LilMissMurder3409 No the Ukrainians didn't eliminate the Chechnyans, they all run away whenever threatened.
1
@DeusVult-q3f Still delusional.

@RW4X4X3006 You need to be lured into Santa's van too.
1
@harmless6813 Well that would certainly solve the problem - as well as wiping out all life on Earth.

Like you Jake, I knew almost nothing about Ukraine before 24th February. I knew it was part of the former Soviet Union and maybe it was the one that had elected a comedian as president. Well that former comedian has balls pf steel. I feel that he personally has saved Ukraine. Had he taken the "taxi" on 24th February Ukraine probably would have fallen in Putin's 3 days. And like you (or was it Anna) I believe, had Putin been successful, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland would now be in great danger. Then there's eastern Germany and Finland. Ukraine is fighting for the freedom of a large part of the western world and all they ask for is the weapons to do the job. We must give them more support. Belligerent countries like Russia must not be allowed to prevail. Slava Ukraini from New Zealand.

Lindsay Graham is an "interesting" character. Immediately after the events of 6th January, 2021, he said Trump had gone too far, and that he was finished with Trump. Within weeks he had done a complete about-face and went to Mar-a-largo. Here again, a complete about face. A man of resilience and strength of character - NOT.

Dad's Army - I remember it well. We had it here down-under too. Mr Mainwaring and Pike "you stupid boy"
