The Russian Kupyansk offensive? That's dead in the water. The Ukrainian counter offensive is going very slow, much slower than is desirable, but it looks like it's got through the worst of the Russian minefields and is now picking up pace. It will be a hard slog to reach the Azov Sea before the rains come - but there's a strong chance of the Russian collapse in the near future. Slava Ukraini.

  19.  @andrefasching1332  It is sad that any kid should get hurt. It is the fault of Russia that this kid got hurt. If it wasn't for the Russian invasions of 2014 and 2022, this kid could have enjoyed a peaceful holiday in Ukrainian Crimea. The bridge is a legitimate military target and Ukrainian did time the strike for 3am as being a time when the chances of civilians being around was minimized. It is just bad luck that Russia attacked Ukraine, and that this kid's parents took him into the resulting war zone.

I say again: it is sad that a kid got injured. Maybe you should go to a Russian site and complain there? Because Russia is at fault for thousands of kids being injured, maimed, taken away/kidnapped, or killed. There is nothing we can do here to stop Russia's aggression. The alternative to fighting back - capitulation - would have worse consequences for the children of Ukraine.

  25.  @rayden1387  Yeah, lets take this step by step. Firstly, you're on the wrong staircase. Yugoslavia is not related to the current conflict in which Russia attacked Ukraine. Things that happened in Yugoslavia may, or may not, have been right or wrong. But one thing is very clear, Russia had no right to invade parts of Ukraine in 2014, and again had no right to invade Ukraine in 2022. Russia is in the wrong. And Russia did organise the result of the referenda - the outcome was known before the first vote was cast. No countries recognise the out come of the referenda (except Russia and a very small handful of patsie "friends"). Especially significant is that no former USSR states recognise the outcome of the referenda (with the possible exception of Belarus). It sucks to be a Russian troll.

Russia was also subject to a 'coup' but I don't think there has been a free and fair election in Russia/USSR since. Is the Russia government legitimate? Russia does not, under any circumstance, have the right to defend the oblasts of Donetsk or Luhansk - except in the minds of people clutching at straws to defend the indefensible (you again). And Russia has not done so. They have injured, maimed or killed hundreds of thousands of Russian speakers and ethic Russians in Donbas. They have bombed and shelled many Donbas cities out of existence, killing tens of thousands of Russian speakers and ethic Russians in Mariupol alone. They have emptied the Donbas of menfolk of fighting age and sent them to the front, often ill-equipped, often to die in this pointless war that Russia started. So much for "the right to defend" Donetsk or Luhansk oblasts. Lets kill everyone so they feel defended. You fool. You think it's funny that most countries of the globe don't recognise the referendum in Crimea - remember that they don't recognise the referenda, nor the annexations, in the four other Ukrainian oblasts either. I have voted in at least 10 free and fair elections referenda in my own country. What I saw of the refernda held in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts shocked me. I have never seen such blatant coercion. That would immediately invalidate any results. If Russia had a legitimate issue with the treatment of Russian speakers in Donbas, why didn't it deal with the matter at the UN? Russia is a member of the Security Council after all.
