Ahh, I don't think you comprehend. He said he will resign if that's what it takes to get his country into NATO - at which point there won't be a front line.
1
Nah, I don't think so. Trump can "negotiate" (give away) all he likes. But Zelenski is the leader of Ukraine, and it is Zelenski who will decide if he's prepared to accept a fair peace package. Maybe Trump will cut off US supplies, and maybe Ukraine will fall - and then see if the US can get rare earth metals from the russians (and good luck with that).
1
The knowledge that you helped good people in a time of need - and that your leader didn't try to extort Ukraine at at time it is under extreme pressure (and in direct contravention of the agreement signed in Budapest in 1994). Actually, Trump hasn't walked away with the mineral rights (yet).
1
@FrancesKennedy-rm8kz Yeah I know. Fancy thinking Zelensky's money laundering, while being okay with Putin's theft of billions of russian roubles.
1
Zelensky is DONE great things. Maybe you could do something worthwhile one day. Meanwhile, keep earning that potato.
1
Why?
1
And an excellent entertainer, and an even better leader in wartime.
1
Yes isn't it shocking that he's still at it, and that he keeps sending troops to die across the border in Ukraine. You'd have though Putin would have some compasion - but instead he's still abusing his people. And as zoom777 says, nearly one million russians are KIA/WIA/MIA.
1
It's Putin who wants to start WW3.
1
@Alejandrogarcia000 Was. Now only equal.
1
@IbolyaMadarasz-b8n Yes, you describe Putin well.
1
@Yuri-z2y "Are you talking about the Kyiv coup in 2014?" There was no Kyiv "coup" in 2014 - there was a revolution.
1
@darren5376 It means you parrot Trump.
1
@tauva33 It is Putin who chose to make it a battlefield and who is responsible for all the bad that has happened.
1
@Yuri-z2y Yes, revolutions are made by a large group of people. Any photo of Kyiv during the Maidan will show you the hundreds of thousands of people. The war in Donbas in 2014 was started by a small group of russian radicals, armed and encouraged by russia.
1
@Yuri-z2y "Maidan square can not combine " hundreds of thousands" people..." Ahh, so you haven't looked at a photo. I thought your ability to do even basic research was below normal, and now you have confirmed that. The truth is that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian civilians gathered to protest, and that became the revolution that Putin cannot stand. But it is not Putin's business. Ukraine is an independent sovereign nation - not a puppet state of russia.
1
@Yuri-z2y It is not my task to educate you. You are far too far down the rabbit hole of Putin's lies to ever see the truth. It is my task to refute these lies so that others are aware that your stories are not true.
1
@darren5376 "say that again please?" Why? Surely you are perfectly capable of simply reading it again.
Ukraine is an independent sovereign nation - not a vassal state of russia.
1
No. Putin's need for glory is what got him into this mess.
1
@Leto2ndAtreides No Leto, that's not correct. If it was then Putin would have also crossed the Finnish border. Try to get a grasp on geopolitics - this is about Putin's misguided desire for a larger sphere of influence and a rebuilding of the former USSR. But alas, "Vlad the Great" is failing in his endeavours.
1
@tauva33 No Tauva, it is Putin's fault. Nobody put ballistic missiles closer - that is just Kremlin lies. "what u think russia gonna do?" I think russia should have respected Ukraine's sovereignty - or better still, been a better neighbor so that Ukraine doesn't need to join NATO.
1
@liangxu He cannot hold an election during a period of Marshal law. Nor can he hold an election in all of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kerson, or any of Crimea. So any election would be pointless. Why doesn't Putin hold an election? A real one, not the trumped up sham elections. I don't think russia has ever held a real election, which means that Putin is not the legitimate leader of russia. Putin is a fake president.
1
Yep, and Putin caused it.
1
I find it funny that you think he no longer matters.
1
Putin?
1
Maybe. That would be better than the rort Trump proposed.
1
@Yuri-z2y Hey Yuri, still living in the past I see. Banda died about the same time as Stalin. Ancient history and totally irrelevant. Silly person.
1
@loganq You sound like you need vaccination Logan.
1
@loganq No, the grift is just starting - in the US. But keep spreading the lies, Logan, it's keeping us laughing.
1
@Yuri-z2y More statues of Stalin have been erected in russia since Putin came to power, than in the 45 years prior. Who did you say is living in the past?
1
@Yuri-z2y Bandera stood up against russian aggression in Ukraine. russia cannot win. russia is not winning. Stalin exterminated millions of Soviet citizens - but still you erect status to him. Much more interesting...
1
@Yuri-z2y "Russia does not have any Stalin's monuments". We can see who is clueless (and it's you Yuri). Since Putin came to power an average of 4 statues/monuments to Stalin have been erected each year in russia.
1
@Yuri-z2y "...you are embarrassing yourself." Yes you are embarrassing yourself. You really need to do some research.
1
Why? He's a great leader - perfect for a country being attacked by a belligerent neighbor.
1
Yes you are, aren't you.
1
@craigs71 "..gave billions in aid" and then tried to extort trillions in mineral wealth - in direct contravention of the agreement the US signed in Budapest. Don't give the US anything until the honor that treaty.
1
@patb5266 Nope, those became Ukrainian nukes upon the dissolution of the USSR. Learn history.
1
@aranykert Does Putin get to keep the billions he embezzled from the russian people?
1
@HolyGuacamolean No, you haven't sent $200 billion. And most of what you sent, you overvalued (40 year old Bradleys, sent at brand new value). The value didn't matter until the indian-giver in the White house decided he wanted to extort Ukraine.
1
@aranykert Ukraine has never refused genuine peace talks. But russia does not understand the meaning of "negotiate" (and you probably don't either). It's impossible for Ukraine to negotiate when russia refuses to do so - instead making silly and unreasonable demands.
1
You need to look into the sources of your lies. He doesn't have a yacht, nor a mansion in Malibu. But I know who does have at least two yachts, several mansions, and had a palace in Sochi - all bought with money embezzled from the russian people. If you don't know who I'm talking about, here's a clue: he lives in a bunker under the Kremlin, and he's too scared to visit the front lines.
1
No, it was the president of russia who started this for personal reasons - mostly because he wants to go down in history as Vlad the Great (instead he will go down as the guy who brought russia to its knees).
1
He's made a lot of money that way, and he 's used it to buy mansions, superyachts, and even to build a palace in Sochi with underground bunkers and an underground railway station. And then he demolished the palace. What a waste of the money that belonged to the russian people
1
@ericwhite1474 No they don't. He has a higher trust rating than Trump.
1
@Yuri-z2y Ukraine wasn't living in "prosperity". russia was keeping them poor. And they were living in peace - until Putin sent troops across the border in 2014, and again in 2022.
1
@Yuri-z2y "Do you mean the Soviet Ukraine or Ukraine after 1991?" russia, after 1991, has been keeping Ukraine poor. It is in russia's interest to keep Ukraine subjugated - and russia managed it well. Ukraine realised that they would not prosper until they ditched russian oppression.
1
@Yuri-z2y "And in 2014 Ukrainian neo-nazi battalions attacked pro-Russian Donbas ". Untrue. Do some research.
1
@Yuri-z2y "Russia was not involved till February 2022." Untrue. Do some research. russia was involved before 2014. Sent agitators into Ukraine in 2014 to arm dissidents. Then sent in troops the same year.
1
@Yuri-z2y "And in 2014 Ukrainian...". Untrue. Do some research. What did russia do when Chechnya wanted independence?
