Libertarians: People should not live off other people's labor. Also Libertarians: Support an economic system where the rich literally make their living off everyone else's labor.

The saddest lies are the ones that we tell ourselves. I don't feel for Dave Rubin, but I feel for the kids because of the people he is going to put around them.
303
We can survive without the rich. They cannot survive without us.

"There is no such thing as a moderate Republican in Congress. They may say they only vote with the President 70% of the time, but they vote with him 100% of the time when he needs their votes." Barney Frank, 2005 The main difference is that nowadays, it's probably closer to 90%.

I remember one time dealing with a sovereign citizen type who got mad when I asked him if he'd need to get a passport to re-enter the United States from his property or need to come to tariff agreements to import stuff to his property. He sputtered and said that I was trying to distract from the fundamental argument. These people have clearly never asked themselves a follow-up question.

"Comedians find nothing worse than unfunny people who think they are funny." In other words, comedians hate Jimmy Dore.

Totally ridiculous. My six-year-old daughter is about as much of a girly-girl as you can get (she almost never wants to wear pants, and she is obsessed with JoJo Siwa and unicorns), but she likes to play with trucks and enjoys going to Diggerland. There is nothing inherently gendered about toys.

The Libertarian Party: Not Asking Follow-up Questions When Forming Policies Since 1971

Libertarian thought in a nutshell: Government can't do anything right because they are obsessed with power, but private interests motivated by greed will do the right thing.
157
Never forget, this is a man whose wife had to tell him that WAP is a medical condition to make him feel better about his inadequacies.
156
The last time I was this early, Sinema was still pretending to care about the important issues.
126
Anyone shocked by this? I didn't think so.
115
"You've already had plenty of dinners with your father." You could almost feel Eric's heart breaking at that assumption.
110
"On a bed filled with piles of money and lots of women." Rainier Wolfcastle
107
The outrage is fake. They want to distract from what they are doing, namely kidnapping children and making sure they will never find their parents ever.
104
Libertarian: someone who believes the same thing on Wednesday that he/she did on Monday, regardless of what happened on Tuesday.
101
Leo: You're like the son I never had. Hyde: But you have a son. Leo: Yeah, but you're like the son I never had.
98
I'll take "It was never a plan or good faith effort" for 100, Alex.
94
"I call it racism against poor people." Or as it is more commonly known, classism.
86
@somik-i3x Oh, I waited. If you wait, often you make up for lost time. He, on the other hand, was not willing to learn, as evidenced by the fact that he thought WAP was a medical condition.
86
I've literally seen books talking about how to use your inner psychopath to succeed.
81
Proof that knowing a lot about one thing doesn't mean that you know a lot about other things.
81
This is what happens when you get to a point in life where you have enough money to never hear that you are wrong.
80
Those of us who tried to warn everyone about Tulsi and Yang have definitely been vindicated and then some.
79
"It takes great courage to stand up to our enemies, and even greater courage to stand up to our friends."
77
@afridgetoofar1818 Because if you can't tell the difference between neoliberals and neofascists, or you think the former is worse, you're doing it wrong. What part of "cleaning up the left" does a red/brown alliance and praising the Boogaloo Boys address?
76
My parents told me of seeing a "Miss Me Yet?" picture in a gas station. How can we miss you if you won't go away?
74
11:52 No, Matt! You can say both actions are bad. I don't know if it's a question of coming of age after Iraq and having a reflexive America Bad stance or what, but this reluctance to call out Russia for its bad actions is the kind of thing to expect from tankies.
74
My point of no return was Krystal calling not letting the Wisconsin Green Party ignore the ballot access rules, hire Republicans to represent them, and wait two weeks to file a suit after the ballots were already printed thus meaning that people could get their ballots too late to vote "an assault on democracy" by Democrats.
68
All a republic means is that there is no monarch. "Republic, not a democracy" is the equivalent of saying, "It's not a grape! It's purple."
66
James Stewart (he hated being called Jimmy), Best Actor 1940 for The Philadelphia Story, nominated a total of five times, and named the third greatest American male actor of the 20th century by AFI, underrated? And this guy wanted to be a screenwriter!
65
@TheBlazersfan22 Not only did she backtrack, but she called Medicare for All "un-American." You can't get a bigger dog whistle than that.
63
Steven Crowder wishes he could have a story about how Mr. Big is a big jerk.
62
@spankyx8606 Potter knew exactly what money it was. He then pretended that George stole the money and called the police on him. There is no legitimate defense of this character on this front.
60
Conservatives: Rich people work hard for their money and deserve every penny. Also conservatives: Everyone else is greedy and needs to be grateful for whatever pittance they get.
60
A classic example of someone doing all the math wrong within the equation, but somehow still getting the right answer
58
@MrBreeze66 Republicans gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965 twice in the last decade. What in particular do you find to be a "power grab" other than the Republican thinking that any election where a Democrat wins is illegitimate?
55
@dannydi4 Look up Sam Seder nightmare on YouTube.
52
Not since Rand Paul refused to directly answer Rachel Maddow have I seen a US Senator or a nominee dance so hard to avoid answering a straight question about race or civil rights.
50
"It's just a banana, Michael. How much could it cost, ten dollars?" Lucille Bluth
49
This is what dictators do when they realize they are losing power: destroy everything on their way out.
48
@placebojesus5652 So, the person who spent over 20 minutes screaming is the guy who gets to play Tone Police?
48
Caller: Democracy is immoral because people are morons. [...] Sam: Maybe you're one of those morons. Caller: That's not an argument.
47
A good test is whether or not they insist that others have to follow purity tests, but instead of supporting actual advocates of positions they claim to espouse, they end up endorsing the most right wing candidate not named Michael Bloomberg in the primary.
47
You cannot negotiate with someone who literally made the Lebensraum argument in order to justify invading a sovereign country for the second time in a decade. Unless the negotiation is "you get out of our country, all of it (including Crimea)," there is nothing to discuss. "People say 'war is not the answer,' but I say it depends on the question." D. L. Hughley
47
At one point, my brother told me that the reason why he didn't want to see the minimum wage increased was because "I like the idea of making twice as much as someone else." Well, if you don't realize that the real enemy is someone who gets more in a day than you do in a year rather than someone who makes a little less than you do, you're doing it wrong.
47
Sinema thought that she could win by being a "maverick" type. The difference is that McCain was a right-winger who got an occasional pang of conscience and did the right thing. She also thought that her wigs would make her stand out, instead of looking like an evil Effie Trinket.
47
Remember that scene in Frost/Nixon where everyone is shocked when Nixon says, "When you're the President, that means that it's not illegal"? Well, these six members of the Supreme Court just ruled that Nixon was right.
46
I thought it was particularly beautiful when Manchin said, "Why can't we pass the bill with bipartisan support now and keep working for the other bill?" and the reporter said, "Because the Progressive Caucus doesn't trust you."
45
@TheJohnnyonthespot1 It seemed to take Michael a long time to realize that people he considered to be friends were bad people. It took about a year and a half between the Seder/Dore debate and Dore starting to go after him before he realized that he had been had. He was defending Rising until the very end, although I do think that he seemed to be opening his eyes to the fact that they used him, too. Going after Lula may have finally got him to pull the blinders off, but as great as he was, calling out grifters was not his strong point.
