Well, she is isolationist, not anti-war. She defended Putin for bombing civilians in Syria while complaining that Obama didn't, and she compared the Iran nuclear deal to Munich. She is even worse than your description.

Since at least 1935. If you think a permanent underclass working 70-80 hours a week just to survive is a good idea, then you are part of the problem.
11
@maniac50ae14 Have you heard of persistence hunting? That is how a lot of prehistoric hunting was done.
11
@Dusty Bottoms Yes, because voting is on the same level as buying cigarettes.
11
Is there where Aaron got the idea? ;-)
11
@MrRondonmon Abortion has nothing to do with communism, but nice try. Neither does gay marriage. Ironically, Ceaucescu actually outlawed abortion, as did many countries in the Iron Curtain. So, thinking that overturning child labor laws is a bad thing is communist? If that's capitalism as you want it done, no thank you. Maybe crack open a book and stop listening to people like Limbaugh, and you might understand what these words actually mean.

@xiam5941 And the slaveholders didn't get to keep their "property," either. Your way leads to what Hobbes called the war of all against all. I prefer not to live in a world where life is cold, nasty, brutish, and short. We have tried it before, and it doesn't work. That is why it was abandoned.
10
And Al Gore Sr. voted for every other civil rights bill he saw (Yarborough was the only Senator to go 5/5 on civil rights from a state that tried to secede a century earlier, but LBJ voted for 2/2 as a Senator and 3/3 in signing as President), but if you look, the breakdown on the 1964 Civil Rights Act was far more geographical than partisan.

@psrabe7444 I've had similar experiences dealing with people on the right. I pointed to W vs. Slick Willie for the economy, and he said that was too narrow. Then, I found something that went all the way to Ike, and he said that was too long.
10
@martinarmenta835 It is never too late to turn things around. You can always help his opponent push him out.
10
Only the rhythm method, but that involves counting and a lot more self-control than she seems capable of.
10
Or basic training, for that matter. No one gets out unless you can at least get Marksman.
10
That was an absolutely absurd take from Greenwald. Who cares if Bannon realized that talking about rich people not paying enough in taxes was popular if nobody actually tries to do anything about it on the right?
10
Because such a move only works if you don't want to do anything, and the squad is better off getting something than blocking everything out of spite.
10
@selfishcapitalist3523 And Donald Trump is the greatest statesman the world has ever known. Saying the opposite of reality is fun.
10
@MrShanester117 You mean like the fact that we have two Dakotas because Republicans wanted more seats? I don't see Republicans trying to make one Dakota.
10
@jcspoon573 Indeed. The Constitution that they pretend to love is the biggest federal power grab in American history.
10
Trump wouldn't lose votes to Bloomberg because those votes aren't going anywhere.
10
@Dakota Jones A lot of times, once you realize that it is addictive after all, it's already too late. I was prescribed muscle relaxers for a back injury and I started to notice what felt like withdrawal symptoms two days later when I was doing something and was ten minutes late taking it. There but for the grace of God, had I not been distracted and took it on time, I would have been addicted, too. I was even cutting the pills in half, so I used discretion. Nice try, though.
10
What killed Warren was that she looked like she was not willing to commit to Medicare for All. The left is sick of token gestures that don't get us anywhere.
10
@soulknife20 Indeed. It only seems that way to come because they are so used to a country that has gone hard right in economics for so long.
10
They probably would have gotten away with this one if no one caught it on video.
10
This is a strategy that very rarely works. The last time I can think of that it worked was Claire McCaskill in 2012. My big concern is that people will think that this is something they can do on a regular basis and get some crazies elected.
10
@jasonhahn9255 First of all, it's not a record (we had double-digit inflation in the 1970s). Second, if you understood anything about economics, you'd know that there was a lot of pent-up demand that was going to lead to higher inflation. Third, we have lower inflation than every other major industrialized nation. Finally, there is nothing that Der Orangestraflingfuhrer would have proposed to rein costs in.
10
@markzuckergecko621 It's not an on/off switch. There are stages and degrees. For the most part, the institutions held. And considering that you are using the word Communist and can't define it or show any evidence of the commies on the march ir rioting for a year shows your own lack of understanding of political ideologies.
10
@dad45a Indeed. Tom De Lay called it Catch and Release. You could see it in action when Murkowski voted against Kavanaugh and Collins voted against Barrett, but neither voted against both.
10
He has no self-awareness at all.
10
@keirfarnum6811 He owes me, too!
10
My grandpa did not fight in that battle just to have our military commemorate Nazis 75 years later!
10
"The tears aren't coming! The tears aren't coming!" Gob Bluth
10
@toasterlordtoasterlord4224 I saw it play several times with no cut. You see him pause to look with no cut in the camera.
10
@rtorres4132 Funny how many people insist that they are not opposed to vaccines bit sing straight from the anti-vaccine hymnal.
10
@DougDimmaDab His real name is Aaron Dickson. Then, he had a bunch of profiles with Alabama Man with or without a number in them. I think Mandatory Helicopter Rides was the one who accidentally replied to an Alabama Man 5000 thread. So much like Dumbledore always called him Tom Riddle, a lot of us use his real name to cut through the personae to expose the frightened little boy underneath it all.
10
@garysmokesmeat You said that workers do better "when they are more free." I gave an example of workers getting paid better and with better benefits. So, unless you are talking about some esoteric goal of Freedom which just means freedom to be screwed over by the boss, you have been debunked, because you said that never happens. If that is what you're doing, then you're not trying to figure out what is actually better for anyone.
10
@meamishere1166 Oh, it started while he was still alive. He was quite slow in realizing people were grifters. Part of a consequence of his belief of "ruthless on systems, merciful on people." He didn't see the light on Jimmy Dore until 2017 or '18 and was texting Sam begging him to go easy on him during the debate, and he was only very slowly starting to catch on to the Rising grift a month or so before he died when he let David and Matt savage it when covering the Nathan Robinson article about right-wing fake populists and the Robinson/Greenwald debate at length.
10
@p.chuckmoralesesquire3965 Did you not watch Shaun's video on the subject? Probably not, because it would puncture your view of your hero.
10
The base year was 1890... just before immigrants from southern Europe started to come in large numbers.
10
Well, there has been a Green/red alliance in this country since at least Nader 2000, so maybe she was scamming us the whole time and this is her true self.
10
He's a libertarian, and has always been one. That pretty much never ends well.
10
@joebrandon8750 Based on what? She has a breath and depth of qualifications and a solid record. Were you whining about Der Orangefuhrer saying that he'd nominate a woman two years ago? Or, if you're old enough, did you whine about Reagan saying that he would pick a woman with his first vacancy 40 years ago?
10
@f_youtubecensorshipf_nazis Well, both are culling from the same anti-anti-Trump well, so it's hardly a surprise.
10
Indeed. And she turned out to be much more likable.
10
@Name-jw4sj What are some specific things that she has done? The only one I can really think of where she didn't buckle like a belt was "Why would anyone run around the country saying what you can't do?"
10
Something else the V-shaped crowd doesn't seem to realize: if people don't have money when things reopened because of paying mortgages and groceries with credit cards, how are people just supposed to spend like nothing happened?
10
@jpbm1873 Oh, look, the false equivalence brigade right on schedule. Because apparently you can't make a positive step to deal with nuclear proliferation without "regime change wars." I don't care where you're from, because ignorance is universal.
10
@888strummer Jimmy Dore wants to divide the left to help the right win. Funny how he has had more nice things to say about literal fascists than people who he supposedly agrees with.
10
Regis Johnson Well, either she is the worst strategist of all time, or she is a saboteur. Considering the fact that she alienated the nicest and most forgiving person in American politics (the only other person I can think of who can say the same is Tad Devine, but that was more because of his extracurriculars with Manafort than anything), nothing would surprise me.
10
Blanket rules get rid of the good and the bad. I'm not getting rid of Bernie because some voters elsewhere don't pay attention to the state of their elected officials. And limiting it to 70 makes it far more difficult for people who need to work for a living to seek office.
10
@zelenskysboot361 Yeah, that description sucks. In the 2020 primary, when it came to health care, there was Bernie, and there was Not Bernie.
10
When I was in seminary, a friend (at the time he was Church of the Brethren, now he's Episcopalian) knew several families who, because of their objections to war, voluntarily kept their income low enough that they would owe no federal taxes. Why doesn't Jim do that?
