@toddc1193 Then, why does he keep trying to delay his trial with frivolous motions? If he's so innocent, he should welcome being exonerated.
12
What exactly is the middle ground between someone who wants to destroy democracy than someone who wants to keep it?
12
Louie Gohmert: Proof that anyone can get elected to Congress, but not everyone should, since 2005
11
@dannychambers8076 First, all caps are shouting. Second, the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in 2013 and several states have taken advantage of this to make it harder for certain people to vote while pretending to be neutral.
10
@timothytietz9194 I don't know if Roger Stone has a picture of Nixon on his wall, but he is a giant tattoo of Nixon on his back.
10
@00SmileTime00 How many died from the pandemic response he botched?
10
The former won't work (if a unified Democratic government expanded it to 13, Republicans would turn right around and expand it to 19), but something I think might help with the latter is to restructure the court so that the actual judges who sit on the Court rotate. Maybe put all of the federal appellate judges in the pool or something, which could be done by legislation rather than Constitutional Amendment.
10
@cybbles It happens in multi-party systems, too.
10
They've been incoherent for a long time. Even the Tea Party, for all of their talk about deficits, still wanted to keep their tax cuts and bloated Defense budgets.
10
@Corn_Pone_Flicks "Take time" is one thing, waiting two years to start an investigation is a completely different story.
10
@Vennytube A lot of them are part of groups and emboldened by having someone in the White House going along with their worldview, even if they think he is incompetent. After all, he can open the door for a competent white nationalist.
10
@paulb47NYC All a republic means is that there is no monarch. "Republic not a democracy" is the equivalent of saying "It's not a grape, it's purple!"
9
@AnisAznanKamil These are the kind of people who would rather suffer than see things get any better for people who they deem unworthy. They aren't right wing as much as anti-left.
9
@dannychambers8076 Well, all caps man, it points to the whataboutism that you are trying to pull while ignoring the party that is actively opposing civil rights today.
9
Indeed. Sadly, no one has ever lost money overestimating the ability of Democratic leaders to freak out over any little thing.
9
@chonqmonk Indeed. When I see Roger Stone, I think either Dick Tracy villain or Batman villain.
9
@Haywire D Correction. He has been convicted and sentenced to 7 1/2 years, but Manhattan is now taking their turn. He will never get out of jail as long as he shall live.
9
@trollnerd No Iraq War, no Roberts and Alito in exchange for Obama? I would gladly take that trade.
9
@CaBobProductions It wasn't a hard right crowd, but it wasn't a Bernie crowd, either. Given the survey and the call and response at the end, I think that he won some people over. Don't forget the All In Trump Country town halls with Chris Hayes in McDowell County, WV, and Kenosha, WI. He was on stage with Trump supporters, and he won them over.
9
@countryinnmotel9824 That is so unfair! Ben Carson is actually a competent surgeon.
9
@wbh110 And Elon Musk was never an engineer, let alone a competent one.
9
@stefanhoimes "Look at that fly. I see it there. I want them to see, too. They'll see. Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly." Seriously, how were there not more Psycho memes from that?
9
The Tucker Carlson impression we didn't know we needed, but we were wrong.
9
@themechanic8643 You are aware that Seth is also a writer, aren't you?
9
@drfranks1158 Every metric in actual votes suggests a good year for the Big D. We just have to vote and talk to our friends to get them to vote Biden, too.
8
@RubelliteFae I'm sure they'll probably come up with their own name soon. They tried to call my Generation (Generation X) the "baby bust" until we got that name, and the generation now known as Millennials were known as the echo boom and Generation Y before settling on Millennial. It takes time to figure out the name.
8
@elanahammer1076 Second cousin is legal in all 50 states. Not sure if New York allows first cousin marriage or not.
8
elijah mikle Well, I did see a story where he tried to talk her into releasing a sex tape. No one can tell me that he didn't do something to her. Marla Maples will always be the best mother of the three because she had the good sense to keep Tiffany far away from him.
8
@mikedown1250 They love their version of God, which has morphed into nothing like what I see when I read the red letters.
8
@keepthatlilsmug Only we find out more and more about Trump's actual crimes (and new ones he adds to the list), every day.
8
@JustChuck1982 Agreed. I personally compare him to a less likable version of The Todd from Scrubs who is only good at being a surgeon and a total idiot on everything else.
8
@mzunnurain Except for those who held office and engaged in insurrection or rebellion. Three states tried to do the right thing, but the Supreme Court failed to realize that sometimes "not wanting to be political" is the most political act of all.
8
@LevelofClarity Well, he's not really a billionaire, but everything else is spot on.
8
@stephenrowley4171 True, but this is the first time he has had to deal with the consequences of that failure. When he was starting to build his own name in real estate and become famous outside of New York, Fred had to cosign on every contract, to the point where once a bank realized that he didn't sign it and they stopped the limo then and there to go back up to get his signature. If New Jersey had followed through with rules about casino ownership, he would have been forced to give up the Taj Mahal in 1990, and he had guaranteed so much of the money at his first bankruptcy that had he actually faced consequences, he would have gone broke and been a super tough trivia question instead of the President.
8
"Everybody's laughing at us!" Moscow Donald, 2016 campaign. Who knew he could see the future?
7
So much for "original intent" or "no one is above the law."
7
@kenclark9369 Well, what distinguishes Trump's behavior from a dictator? Since you are so smart, why not enlighten us all?
7
@Woozlewuzzleable I thought that at the time, but in all honesty, I think that Congress would have refused to go along with the stuff that we needed to do in the name of "fighting socialism." Sometimes, the people who lose have a bigger impact than the winners. Henry Clay accomplished more than James Polk (although, to be fair, Polk did finish his to-do list), William Jennings Bryan did more than William McKinley, and look at how much Edward Kennedy accomplished.
7
@CJXalax That's because he messed things up for them.
7
That's the dream.
7
@humangeneric-777 No one's talking about not doing the job. They're talking with outrage that people don't want to be bothered off the clock. 9-5 is the employer's time. The rest is my time.
7
@emilyb.8219 And they both say it was a false flag and complain about them being political prisoners or promise a pardon.
7
@davidfuentes9957 But wouldn't that fall under "the worst"?
7
@LeopardGeckoFry Second is much closer than sixth.
7
@stephenbrady4352 Saying everyone does it just makes it easier for theist corrupt to get away with it.
7
@hitreset0291 Except if she gets arrested ;-)
7
Bring back the Sea Captain!
7
@Josh White How is some new AG going to hold the House Judiciary Committee "accountable"? I thought you right wingers were all for the Constitution. It's the other way around. Jerrold Nadler can force the AG to testify in a public hearing. As far as when the right will abandon Moscow Donald, I honestly don't know, but I do know that Republicans supported Nixon until very close to the end. When they see that Moscow Donald is truly toxic and hurting them, and that they are not tied to him forever (after all, every Republican Presidential nominee through 1996 supported Nixon during most of Watergate), they will turn on him. I'm not saying that he'll be forced out (if it was going to happen, timing would have suggested this past August), but the cult will get broken if they see it's their job on the line.
7
In all honesty, as a rock fan, I haven't understood the rap obsession with flaunting wealth. We mock songs like "Rock Star." I remember when Chris Rock did a couple of comedy records, and he was being interviewed on MTV, and looking at videos. I still remember his line when they got to Puffy: "People listening and saying, 'You're so right! More money, more problems. Wait a minute! I'm broke."
7
@JustChuck1982 You said "all of our elections are decided by Detroit." Don't get mad when people accurately quote you.
