At this point, I am just exhausted from hearing how so many people are opposed to just about everything Republicans do as long as they keep voting for Republicans.

Here's a thought: if you don't want your constituents following you to the bathroom, stop avoiding them and making all the time in the world for donors.

Another issue is the obsession with access journalism rather than investigative journalism.

Between employer and employee contribution, my health insurance costs 32.01% of my income (27.6% employer, 4.41% employee). Bernie proposes 11% (employer 7%, employee 4%). Would I rather pay the taxes and not have to pay out of pocket? You bet, I would!

Given that Pennsylvania has no in-person early voting, and how quickly she is rising, I honestly expect Barnette to win the nomination. I live in the Philly suburbs, and I've seen quite a few of her signs and bumper stickers. Since I've only seen one ad of hers, I hope it's her, because I avoided Oz's show for 18 years, and I'm sick of getting bombarded with his ads. EDIT: I realized that some have misunderstood the point of my original comment. I don't want any of these Republicans as the next Senator from Pennsylvania. I'm just saying that I'd rather their nominee be someone who won't get a lot of money to blanket the airwaves.

@ItsOgre It's the both siderism express, right on schedule.

"Do less than you want to do" is the one true guiding principle of all centrists. This is the same reason why when Bernie said 6, Manchin said 4. Then, when Bernie said 3.5, Manchin said 1.5.
69
In all honesty, I think that the support for Sinema will drop as time goes on as Democrats see the sabotage she is causing.
66
Those are centrists who do that. They aren't on the left.
65
@Gregorypeckory I think that maybe the OP is talking about celebrities who sell stuff.
53
"I almost beat Ted Cruz, and I can almost defeat Donald Trump."
51
@elizabeth1050 Which makes them enablers. You can argue about whether or not the ones that you mentioned were any good, but the party has moved well past them.
47
@guynorth3277 What makes her "not qualified" in your opinion? And 56 isn't that old, so there is still plenty of time for her to consolidate power and rise.
45
@emhu2594 Jimmy Dore is not a lefty. If you are going to defend fascists, you are either a useful idiot or controlled opposition. There is no third option.
41
Why would I want White Obama? I'm still mad that the original didn't fight hard enough the last time.
37
@cejannuzi So, she takes a cowardly vote because she doesn't want to be slandered? Where is the author of the next Profiles in Courage?
36
This veteran has contributed and knocked on doors in Philadelphia for Bernie with DSA.
35
For pure entertainment, the best was a junior member on the committee responding to Gym Jordan and his nonsense by comparing it to paying for sex with young girls (Gaetz) or ignoring the wellbeing of people under your care (Jordan).
33
Yes, because they found another 6'8 man who kinda looks like a Klingon and got him to sound just like him. The idicoy of these people knows no end.
30
Over 55 years. He was getting arrested fighting for integration in the early 1960s while a certain someone else was a Goldwater Girl.
27
It's all relative. 16 years ago, I was speaking at a WVU Young Dems event, and I said that we need to hold the line "or else Newt Gingrich will someday be considered a liberal." When people started laughing, I pointed out that Barry Goldwater was already considered a moderate. Wouldn't you know it? By the 2012 primary, Newtie was seen as not far enough to the right.
26
So glad she'll be out of Congress in three months. Sadly, she'll be on Fox providing "balance" shortly thereafter.
26
Some have. More need to.
25
@nameisamine Calling a woman wearing a burka a "mailbox" sounds pretty racist to me.
24
@EverRae If both sides do it, why are we only seeing Republicans do it? Both siderism is lazy and just helps the worst actors.
24
@soulife8383 I don't know who this "we" is, but you only speak for yourself or people who either a) don't understand math, or b) would much rather complain than actually get something done.
24
@MrChazz965 The original line is "born on third, and thought he hit a triple." Ann Richards used it to describe George W. Bush.
23
Mittens doesn't always do so, but on those rare occasions when he nails it, he really nails it.
23
English translation: I, or someone on my staff, saw how unenthusiastic voters are about me, so I am trying to not rub things in their faces. Yet, he still hasn't taken back saying that he would veto Medicare for All.
23
@BroodallyHonest He threatened to mess up the restaurant for "discriminating" against him, and he shoved a guy. He got what he deserved.
23
I did the math. My combined total of income for health insurance is 32.01% (27.6% employer, 4.41% employee). Under Bernie's plan, that will drop to 11% (7% employer, 4% employee). Just maybe, my union could then use that as a bargaining chip to get me a $500 raise every paycheck.
23
@milascave2 I remember at the time that right wingers in my Guard unit were surprised when I said that he was a libertarian. On that show, he had a mob themed week because "government is like the mafia," and he insisted that people shouldn't need Social Security. He's always had his share of bad takes, but the ratio has definitely turned the last few years.
22
@Jamil Ebdeen Abortions that late are only done because complications arise. Nobody waits until the pregnancy almost comes to term and says, "Oops! I changed my mind. Let's get that sucker out of there."
22
Don't forget that "peace candidate" Tulsi supported torture.
21
@jaymorgan7728 He's stupid, but he has that narcissistic instinct of never being able to admit to either a mistake or being a part of something awful.
21
Roof Korean Staying up all night on a coke binge is not "high energy."
21
Mark Ford We like to live in fear? That's hilarious coming from the side that regularly refers to immigrants as "invaders," has relied on red baiting for 75 years, and has regularly looked for an Other to blame for society's ills.
21
@hellooutthere8956 In the article that described her abuse of staff, someone forgot a fork for her salad, so rather than let her go and get one, she decided that it would somehow embarrass the staffer if she used her comb as a fork instead.
20
@niccolea2086 She went along with it in an interview, said that she was "disappointed" that he sent people out there "to trash me." Well, her accusation is her confession.
20
@poeticgangsta6616 Yeah, I saw her fidgeting and making all kinds of evasive gestures when the question was asked. She knew she was on mic and was trying to build drama. Bernie didn't fall for it.
20
@Bluebelle51 There are degrees. She was a distant second for a long time, but now she is just as bad as the rest of them not named Bernie Sanders.
20
@robinlillian9471 Russia is to the right of the rest of Europe. If John Kasich wants to get rid of the would-be fascist dictator, welcome aboard, but that doesn't mean that he gets to dictate terms once he climbs on.
20
Yes, because he is going to let someone correct him on why you don't praise fascists.
20
I still remember my first experience seeing her in an interview. She was on Real Time, and Paul Begala had some thoughts about the 1980 election. MM: I wasn't born yet. PB: Well, I wasn't born at the time of the French Revolution, but I know what happened. She still hasn't learned anything.
19
@jontraz5993 If Bernie voted no, this troll would say that he is a misogynistic gun nut, because the bill also included the assault weapons ban.
19
@carlosb5523 So, the person who wants to ultimately destroy WIC and daycare subsidies is better for women than the candidate who has been calling for fully paid parental leave and the only candidate to actually support Medicare for All?
19
It looks like those of us who saw it as a bad idea have been vindicated.
19
In all honesty, I am starting to wonder if maybe he didn't end up where he needed to be. If they are going to torpedo Biden, a member of the club, what do you think they'd do to Bernie?
19
I don't remember her complaining when Moscow Donald went after the Khan family.
19
@CaptScrunch67 Bernie knew that if he went after Biden directly, he would get any blame, and he wanted to take no chances of weakening the eventual nominee if he lost. Here's a thought: Bernie knows that some things are more important than his own ego and gratification, and he had no desire to enable a victory by a literal fascist in any way, shape, or form.
