@smartass0124 Here's a hint: if you want to insult the intelligence of someone else, learn to use grammar that doesn't sound like an old Tarzan movie.
17
Republicans never learn.
17
@the_ejj First of all, Trump got 46% and 47% in his two campaigns. Second, no one is saying that every Trump voter should be locked up. We are saying those traitors who tried to lead or participate in an an armed insurrection to overthrow a legitimate election need to be put in jail.
17
Indeed. Second attempts tend to work a lot better than the firsr.
16
@Dystopia Plus I think it's mostly Obama nostalgia. Once they seem him on the big stage, they will realize why bringing someone in for balance doesn't mean that person is the one to carry on your legacy.
16
I haven't said this for six years, and I may never do so again, but great job, Tulsi!
16
If the drinkers out there took a shot every time Tulsi invoked being a veteran or in the military, how long would it take to pickle a liver?
16
Indeed. This whole thing screams Jonestown.
16
I used to think they had chosen Harris, but it looks like they changed their minds.
15
Nader was awful, too, by that point in his public life. He lied to his exploratory committee saying he'd only campaign in safe states in 2000 in order to maximize his chances of getting to 5% for those sweet, sweet matching funds, and he campaigned exclusively in swing states and got mad when surrogates such as Ani DiFranco and Michael Moore noted that the election was close and if you live in a swing state, you should consider voting for Gore.
15
And, when Tiffany was a year old, he said that he hoped she inherited her mother's chest... except he did the holding his hands in front of his boobs gesture. I think he hates her so much because Marla wouldn't let him have his way with his child.
15
@davidtran6928 There is a huge difference in arguing that people need to do more compared to someone who is actively harming thousands, if not millions.
15
For a party that likes to howl about being the party of personal responsibility, none of them actually seem to want to take it when they mess up.
15
In 2016, I thought that she'd be a worthy successor to Bernie. I thought it was odd that she went to see Trump after the election (I didn't realize until years later that she was trying to get Secretary of State). Then, there was the Assad Apology Tour, but the last straw was seeing a 2014 video where she used a scenario straight out of 24 to endorse torture on Indian TV, even pushing back when the host pointed to studies that torture doesn't work.
15
Indeed. I saw the debate last week, and Conor Lamb looked like an algorithm spit out what it thought was an ideal candidate. Even his speaking voice feels overly rehearsed and slick.
14
@jimbob9407 Yeah, I suppose the cop who got beaten to death with a fire extinguisher is a figment of the imagination, and the gallows and "Hang Mike Pence!" was just a metaphor.
14
@DianaMartin1910 He planted the seeds even before Trump won, saying that we'd better with Trump than Hillary. Nobody should have taken him seriously after his debate with Sam Seder before the election where literally every single prediction Sam made turned out to be accurate abd every one Jimmy made was wrong.
14
News flash, Sarah: you had fewer first-choice votes, too.
14
@patrickdowning5316 Why? Moscow Mitch has already said it when, in the middle of the worst economy in over 75 years, he said the goal was to turn Obama into a one-term President. He even filibustered his own bills when Obama agreed to them. Also, there is this: "We should let the people decide who sits on the Supreme Court, so we shouldn't appoint someone in a Presidential year." Moscow Mitch, 2016 "We would, because we have a Republican in the White House." Moscow Mitch, when asked about a possible Supreme Court vacancy in 2020, 2019 He is the literal embodiment of everything everyone hates about politics.
13
@Enigma_Colchonero So, pointing out that "thoughts and prayers" isn't enough is "vile" to you? [In Dr. Evil voice] Riiight.
13
So, he's gone from "I never met her and she isn't my type" to "I just met her and we were immediately attracted to each other"?
13
@bsadewitz The problem is that some people get lazy or discouraged if the polls suggest that one candidate is a lock to win.
13
@andrewreynolds9371 It's too late for the cultists, but not too late for the undecided.
13
And when you're talking like a crackhead who just took a hit of helium.
13
jon pork So, "real liberals" move to Texas to avoid taxes and talk about gutting the minimum wage?
13
@jamesparson Thank you
13
David, I like a lot of what you do, but you are wrong, wrong, wrong about this one. Do you think that sports unions would work if superstar players wouldn't join? Do you think SAG would work if the big stars didn't join, or they left once they became big stars? Without everyone, the union won't work.
13
Fives5555 1 Agreed about Republicans as a whole, but I don't think that Chris Wallace has done anything to demonstrate that he wants to destroy democracy.
13
At one point earlier in the debate, he accidentally said something that shows that he knows the truth , which makes it even worse that he won't tell the truth: he said "the American people hired Kamala Harris," which clearly means she won.
13
"It's funny. When you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags." Wanda Pierce, BoJack Horseman
12
@Gembappe Anyone who lists PragerU and Ben Shapiro as "reasonable" is definitely a Republican. This kid is definitely concern trolling.
12
He did mention Mastriano, who actually might be worse, because a) he is a full-throttled fascist who organized bus trips for January 6th and led the nonsense hearings in the State Senate, b) believes in absolutely zero exceptions for abortion, and c) in the state with one of the decisive battles in the Civil War, decided that he wanted to dress up as a Confederate for a staff photo at the Army War College. Oh, and he lost by 14 points and took five days to make his concession in a one-paragraph press release.
12
She flipped back. She's always been that person. Jacobin did an excellent article called "Tulsi Gabbard is not Your Friend" that went into painstaking detail about her record.
12
@shadebleu Just because the external appearance is different makes him no less of a theocrat.
12
And these are probably the same people who are refusing the vaccine. Having to wait for months to finally get my first shot yesterday only to find out today that thousands were thrown out in Philadelphia because not enough people are taking them is infuriating. They were begging me to tell as many people as possible. As someone whose uncle got polio because he was born eight years before the vaccine and couldn't walk until he was five, seeing these people refusing just makes me angry.
12
@titaniusanglesmith6177 What about Der Orangefuhrer?
12
@buckiesmalls I think you mean she's a worse member of Congress than stand-up.
12
@ForCrynOutLoud Hillary conceded. So did Gore. And Dukakis. And Mondale. And Carter.
12
@noneya1238 The best thing that Marla Maples ever did was get as far away from him as possible to keep her daughter away from him.
12
Maybe not the logical conclusion, but definitely the natural conclusion.
12
Krystal Ball removed any and all doubt that she is an anti-anti-Trump grifter in 2020. If you don't care about the assault on democracy just because you didn't think it would succeed, you clearly didn't remember what happened the second time around in places like Chile, Cuba, and Germany.
12
@Bless0ne Biden was sworn in at 78, and he's been just fine. Nit all of us are bigoted against older people.
12
Actually, a small correction, David. George doesn't collect money for himself under the guise of The Human Fund. He gets a card to say that a donation was made on his coworkers' behalf to The Human Fund so he could avoid buying Christmas gifts.
12
@JustJulie485 Thank you for proving Sunny Hostin correct. If you go to an event where you know people are going to get roasted, don't get mad when someone makes a mild joke about you.
12
At the rate he's going, it'll be a Trumpression.
12
@fakenews2041 You mean people see their approval change over time? No!
11
@blaizegottman4139 He is a genius at taking credit for what other people do, but that's about it.
11
"Treating people just like pawns in chess/wait til the judgment day comes." Black Sabbath, "War Pigs" (still applicable to the way the rich treat the rest of us)
11
@Skeet984 That we didn't have our daddy bail us out over and over again, and that we didn't inherit wealth to the point where we're half as rich as we would be if we'd just left our money in the S&P 500 index.
11
Me, too. Not since Walter Sobchak have I seen someone hide behind his/her veteran status so much. When she hid behind it to justify torture, she insulted me and every person who did the right thing.
