Sienna, look at the differences in the titles on those two videos. That is all you need to know about TYT and how worthless they are.
2
it is time to stop treating science as a religion. You don't believe in science. In 30 years the ultra left will realize that all their horror stories did not happen.
2
People on both sides do this all the time. This is the minority. When I see liberals do things like this I ignore them knowing they are the very extreme minority. And this model needs to ignore these words. If you can't take the heat then don't place your picture on a product in support of selling it. You aren't in high school anymore, you are an adult. Unlike the people attacking you how about you act like an adult.
2
They are regressive liberals.
2
Just like when Obama first took over in 2009. Obama had a super majority in the Senate as well.
2
Yes. I am a scientist but I support the constitution and feel that any funding for science should be at the state and local level. The reality is that the problem with science these days is the fact that it has become politicized and the left is misrepresenting it.
2
They won't have more disposable income when their hours are cut and prices of other goods go up. The immediate flaw of the min. wage is you are forcing how much is paid per hour, not per week.
2
Climate change deniers exist because of the radicals on the left that created this fear mongering propaganda about climate change. We can progress if we had a moderate approach about this. But when you exaggerate an issue you create an opposite reaction, in this case the climate change deniers. People like TYT (who BTW none of them study science) created climate change deniers.
2
Seattle has been a business friendly city with low taxes on businesses. That is why Jeff Bezos stationed Amazon there and why there are many success businesses there like Boeing and Microsoft that exist there. The fact that this guy shifts from taxes to the min. wage, though, shows how bad his argument.
2
What Trump said is true. In black communities the schools are worse off, crime is high, poverty is high, welfare programs are high, teen unemployment is high. Blacks have been voting democrats for decades who allow them to play victims. It has gotten to the point that when a black guy, who is beating a cop, gets shot then blacks protest and burn businesses because apparently the cops are at fault.
2
How is this shifting the goalposts? You can find people like this anyway both political parties. There were people celebrating the death of Ronald Reagan. I don't care about them. I care about politicians and people in the media who have a strong influence on society. You are jumping up and down about one guy when I can easily find people on the political left who are just as insane. What does it prove? That there are crazy people out there? Well no shit. What we have here is a difference of standards. I have much higher standards in that I want a political figure or a member of the media for an example. Not some random nut posting comments on the internet. Those are a dime a dozen and exist on both sides. I gave you a politician and a member of the media, now it is your turn. If you can find say a clip of Rush Limbaugh supporting it then fine, I will give you credit. But as of now you have nothing.

Ok, at 7:30 it when he said a really stupid comment. Contraceptive rights? Women can get contraceptives, if it just that people want women to show some responsibilities and pay for them. Giving women free contraceptives from the government, or forcing insurance companies to do it is treating women as inferiors. It if saying that they are too weak, and not able to take care of themselves so the government has to do it. There is no war on women. Women are being treated as inferiors to buy votes and women are so stupid right now that they buy into it. This is why they don't get respect. If women want help from the government then they are inferiors and need to stay in the kitchen.
2
Meanwhile their commentators are all white, what a surprise.
2
One big liberal argument is to call something they support a right. Like healthcare. Because forcing doctors to work is a right just like forcing employers to pay higher wages is a right.
2
Liberal college kids are stupid. If they want to see Bernie speak than all they have to do is go to the commencement.
2
"the electoral collage has been thoroughly rigged through gerrymandering" You clearly have no idea how the electoral college works.
2
Not really. All Trump had to do was show the people Bernie's tax plan and they would have ran to the booths to vote against Bernie. People do not want socialism.
2
He was a career independent. He all of a sudden switches to become a democrat and acts like a fool. He was an embarrassment.
2
Not true at all.
2
+Mentalitarium Ice T was criticized heavily for writing Cop Killer
2
Martin Kortner Earning a doctorate is intense. Problem is people do not want to do it, especially Bernie supporters.
2
MrSageOlorin You are not understanding the issue. I never said pay, I said provide. All the tax dollars in the world means nothing if you do not have the people to provide the actual services. So what are you going to do? Are you going to tell current doctors, nurses, professors, TAs etc. to work harder? Or are you going to lower the quality?
2
Who were poll? Were they only academic scientists or those in industry as well? Also, you have to realize that they know science and really not much of anything else. Those scientists do not have a deep understanding on economics or the market which if you did your political bias will differ.
2
Jace, nothing is being banned here. No one is going to jail.
2
"Survey showed correlation with education and voting democrate" Not really true. But there is a correlation between higher income and voting republican. Higher income usually means higher intelligence. Also, those who are high school drop outs do typically vote democrat.
2
Uh, in reality those "white rural conservatives" will be fine.
2
I guess that is a sign we need to lower taxes, or do away with all federal taxes and go back to pre 1913 time where the only tax was a tax on the state.
2
Abortion is the only one that they can come up with when in reality abortion is not a protected right. Also, Trump does not want to get rid of that, he just wants to make it a state law. So I will ask again Name me one rights women lack or what rights republicans and Trump are trying to take away from you?
2
With standards teachers are forced to teach to them and essentially teach to the test. It begs the question on what should be taught in public schools? To me it should be about promoting creativity and working with others until 8th grade establishing more fun activities. In high school students can branch off into different fields. The advanced ones to the advanced course. The "slower" students can learn remedial skills and take electives they enjoy and after that they are adults. Instead there is pressure on schools with federal standards to teach to the test and regress to the norm. They can't be creative. I am not saying my idea is best, but we can't consider new ideas if we keep teaching to tests.
2
Eric, Trump was referring to if abortion was illegal. If something is illegal and you break the law than you need to punish them.
2
Exactly
2
Coastwalker, there is more to it than that. One, in the mid 60s we expanded the payroll tax meaning that if a business paid a higher wage than it will have to pay a higher tax. Instead they paid with benefits. Next, more women were entering the work force who typically get paid a lower wage to begin with. Next, we started to open our borders more and we had an increase in immigrations where immigrants typically earn less as well. On top of that goods and services have been becoming cheaper and better. For example, a car today is much better overall than a car in the 70s. So the idea of stagnant wages is pretty much a myth. I am not saying there are not any problems nor that we can't improve, but it is not as terrible as people think. But don't let facts get in the way of propaganda.

Fracking has not polluted water. http://www.pnas.org/content/108/43/E871.long http://www.pnas.org/content/108/20/8172.full
2
gimmethegepgun, the concern has been methane. No one talks of other contaminants because they are not a problem. Kevin says arsenic which is not an issue. Like methane was the arsenic there before or after the fracking?
2
Cheep Cheeps, methane has been leaking in the air and water long before fracking has occurred. That was the point of the articles I cited, no one can say that fracking is the cause of it. People have been able to set their water on fire decades before fracking. Also, the EPA has been incorrect on fracking in the past as they have given misleading and poorly collected data. As far as fracking being short lived? So what. It works now. We have to get the gas and oil somehow. There is not evidence of pollution from fracking, sorry.
2
+winter Too big to fail comes from the government. I capitalism those banks would just fail. What you are complaining about is corporatism which stems from a government that is too large. Bernie wants to make the problem worse by expanding the federal government.
2
For the most part I am not wrong. I support scientific progress, I just understand that it takes time and we can't make drastic decisions on things that are unclear.
2
Pathetic. Name me one right that straight people have and gay people lack.
2
curioussebastian Marriage is not a right .
2
As3sinoL0C0 Not according to the constitution. If you want to go off of SC ruling than the government has the right to take away your property via the ruling of Kelo vs City of New London.
2
The vast majority who earn the min. wage are 1. not poor 2. do not work full time
2
David, you said it well.
2
David Stewart, just because you have a PhD does not mean you are intelligence. A problem with those with PhD is that they become myopic and only care about their fields and become ignorant elsewhere. I work with PhD candidates and professors on a daily basis and it annoys me how they fail to look at issues through an objective lens. As far as your poll is concerned, one, the polls have been wrong lately. Next, under Bush funding for science went up. As Neil deGrasse Tyson puts it, no republican wants to die poor thus they increase funding for science historically. When I first enter grad school a group of physics PhD candidates brought that up. So even if the majority of scientists are dems they are not voting for more funding. Do some research.
2
And David Stewart, explain why under Bush science funding went up?
2
David Stewart, the far left has become ridiculous. Take any domestic policies, especially in economics, and when you break it down from the view point of both sides you see that the right will come to a conclusion that while we can improve on what we have, we are still doing strong. But the left comes out like the country is going to burn down and we need more government to save us. Pick any topic and I bet I can get you to go to the extreme on the issues and I will come out as a moderate.
2
When I say improve I mean remove barriers that have been put in place by the federal government. We have not had a free market in the healthcare system in decades which is why premiums are so high.
2
It won't. This group wants the government to provide them everything but then complain when that same government profits from their power. They want free shit without doing any work.
2
Dr Dermix Girl, it goes both ways. There were many people who regretted voting for Obama which is why the republicans have been winning the past few elections.
2
Driveway, look up Dover vs Penn and consider that a Bush appointed judge did that case.
2
Adam, science does not prove anything. And science is not used to contradict the Bible as religion and science are two separate issues.
