This is not in a forest, buddy, we have no forests in Pacific Palisades. But we do have infrared sensors and drones being used.

@DDD-qt8bw ad hominem aside, I agree, both came true at the same time. You agree about Biden?

Fire conditions same under Gov Schwarzenegger and LA Mayor Riordan. Arnold lives in the fire zone, so do the children of a former Trump cabinet member. This is not political.

Yes, you had concrete shingles not wood shake, they were banned. Most people have no clue about these wind driven fires. My family built Newbury Park, my cousin is Wendy Drive, she went to Palisades High and her family evacuated out of Brentwood. I've seen many of these fires since the early 1960s. I did not vote for Newsom but it is not his fault, nor is it some conspiracy.

Santa Ynez was offline since Feb 2024 for repairs but Stone Canyon was full and fully operational. People don't understand hydrants and homes fed by same lines. Homes had water, Hydrants had water. You can't open them all up and get pressure, especially up hill.

We prepared, even closed roads in the wind pattern and turned off power. What are you talking about. We had warnings and measures in place two days before the winds hit.

In 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order to help California build water resilience amid extreme weather. The order aimed to capture and conserve storm runoff by facilitating groundwater recharge projects and other conservation measures. The executive order included provisions to protect water reserves, replace and replenish rain and snowfall, and expand the state's capacity to capture storm runoff in wet years. It also continued conservation measures and allowed the State Water Board to reevaluate requirements for reservoir releases and diversion limitations. Los Angeles captured 96 billion gallons of storm runoff, enough for 2.4 million homes for a year, with expansion of catch basins ongoing in Los Angeles County and counties east of us. I voted for Newsom recall, hope fires end his career, but we should not lie about him they way others lied about Trump. Newsom had nothing to do with recent LA Fires. DEI yes, fires no. I live in LA County.
