Males at the bottom face much higher consequences in a marriage commitment than those at the top. That "piece of paper" may mean a lifetime of deep poverty imposed by the State.

High level discussion, perhaps the highest level I've heard on this subject. However, this isn't about right or left, as JBP pointed out, it's about the imbalance between the conscientious and the less than conscientious in any social framework. "Who Is John Gault?" applies regardless, and will most likely not change in our lifetime, we just need to mitigate the consequences of that reality, something Ron and Chris are doing in FL.

@chaucerianfraud6767 For centuries men have gone to war together as "normal", all return changed, but there are extreme variances on how that changed is expressed. Some come home and go on with their lives, others fight the war forever.

@lordofthstrings I love the guy, but agree this video missed the mark, and it made me wonder if he's concerned about his upcoming World Tour which starts in a few weeks. I think this video was a reaction to severe stress in anticipation of many, many airport visits in the next 6 months.

@hamster4618 I didn't have contempt for women before, but do know, and understand the suppression, which it now appears was based on reality.

In the late 1960s I was told by adults the participation of women in politics would bring civility, cooperation and compromise, but the exact opposite happened. This outcome is a 3rd rail and not being approached.
2
@sooptime I agree with you, but in my research and experience, much of our current policy and cultural dysfunction is rooted in the consequences of political reaction to HIV/AIDS by groups like ACT UP who invented slogans like SILENCE=DEATH and rationalized lying and even violence in defense of what they saw as a "clear and present danger" to their lives. That tactic from the 1980/90s has been picked up by activists of all stripes, and we are seeing the consequences most severely during this time of pandemic. Your own Premier is a product of this paradigm shift in discourse, where fantasy narratives are a virtue taken as reality.

@patrickburen7333 "After three failed attempts in 2006, Israel successfully assassinated the elusive Hezbollah leader through the efforts of Unit 8200 and the Intelligence Directorate (Aman), following a major shift in tactics, according to reports." - Sept 30 - Iran International Web News
2
@patrickburen7333 I didn't say that, it was a quote from an Iranian news source.

Hitler declared war on the U.S. A misstatement by Hijab saying Germany was no threat. Where is the correction? Where is the "humility", deeds, not words.
2
@EbrahimSJT Yes, but in all that being true, there is forgiveness and redemption, even for those who defecate.
2
@Dddddgjy I've made no statements about any religion other than to say Classical Liberalism cannot exist with Traditional Islam, and Hijab was incorrect in stating U.S. not directly threatened by Germany in WWII. My consciousness is not dependent on your interpretation of G_d, nor should any religion be in a position to supersede civil reality by claiming to know G_ds plan for me. You may be solicitous now, but history tells us you will not be, later. There's an ancient fable about the Farmer and the Snake, worth seeking out, or read the lyrics to Oscar Brown Jr's Snake Song.

I agree with "The Opposite of Love is Power"; however, love, like empathy without borders is chaotic. Love, human love, still requires a framework of presuppositions with agreed upon boundaries.

Alhambra in Spain an Islamic creation? "Not only did they use again and again capitals and columns and bits of architectural detail taken piecemeal from Roman structures, but they had no hesitation whatsoever in using the skills of Byzantine craftsmen and of Persian masons in building and decorating their new structures." - Architectural historian, Talbot Hamlin

Male/Male BDSM Bondage was not born on social media.

I owned a number of Ties designed by Miles Davis, not Don Cherry, who was also a good trumpet player.

@ UC Irvine protest, a student leader showcased by the media did indeed appear to be in the throws of a psychopathy as she made wild claims about conditions in Gaza, ones the UN has recently walked back. Another gentleman with "flowers" wrapped in a Palestinian flag was also interviewed by media and was quite incoherent, another, with gas mask and hoodie turned out to be a high school student. The combined police force of Orange County, CA did a magnificent job, but the Mayor of Irvine, CA called them "violent", something the Mayor of Newport Beach asked the Irvine Mayor to recant. It's a mess, and being of absolutely no help to the people in either Gaza or Israel.

@thepanelchannel8879 I read this two weeks ago, but thanks. Real numbers will most likely never be realized, but regardless, the pattern of Arab exaggerations is more than 100 years old.
2
@archive8080 War is a crime against humanity, a failure of civilization. Before I "condemn" Israel, I'd like to quote Golda Meir, who as a Palestinian from 1920 to 1949. "... it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us." - Golda Meir

Nah, I think you are mistaking deference and respect for confusion. JBP is well-versed, and allowed Yusuf space. I hope they do another session.

This new "woke" religion breaks the First Clause of the Bill of Rights in America, and should be attacked on this legal basis: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"
2
@cecilcharlesofficial Agreed, he did the rigorous scholarly work and arranged it into patters we can see and understand.

Elton John started the Russians off to war. Not a joke, look at the comments Elton John made about Putin in 2012, the concerts in the Ukraine, and the rainbow flags marching to Moscow.
2
@jamesdodge7941 ? I don't understand that conclusion based on a comment that only quotes AI ?

Harold Bloom vigorously denied Wolf's description of the "dinner party". Why don't you believe him? Perhaps you should ask other students on how he affected their lives. His books are still a major part of the canon in that field. Wolf gives a different description of why she didn't finish her thesis at Oxford then the one she gives here. I find that contradiction uncomfortable.

@Jack Lo I'd also add there was precedent to Germany's direct threat to the U.S. which occurred during WWI, that's in the Zimmerman telegram which motivated Woodrow Wilson to enter the first war against Germany. "No Real Threat", tell that to the Soviets who made a "pact" with the Germans, which I believe was "broken". Read Mein Kampf. "No Real Threat". Germany declared war on the U.S. Do you understand that as a FACT?
2
@AC-mp7cx 5 weeks before declaration, 100 U.S. Citizens dead: "From the Tribune-Sun, Friday, Oct. 31, 1941: AMERICAN WARSHIP SUNK BY TORPEDO; FAILS TO BRING BREAK WITH GERMANY" Even with that provocation, FDR did not declare war until Germany did.
2
@AC-mp7cx Read, this airplane was in the works prior to declaration of war. Messerschmitt Me 264, long range bomber to satisfy Hitler's dream of seeing NYC in flames, as stated by Albert Speer in his memoir of the war.
2
@AC-mp7cx "Hitler's enthusiasm for striking at New York. In 1937, during a visit to the factories of the Messerschmitt aircraft company in the southern German city of Augsburg, Hitler was presented with the prototype of a four-engine long-range bomber, the Messerschmitt Me 264, which was being designed to be able to reach America's East Coast from Europe". - der Spiegel.

1:43:33 White people don't care about surveys so didn't do well, Black people rarely get asked their opinion (at least when this study was done), so gave it great attention. The assumptions made about the study, "panic/choke" were themselves biased.

Rather this: Kristen Brennand, PhD is a Professor of Psychiatry and Genetics at the Yale School of Medicine. Her research integrates stem cell-based approaches with CRISPR-mediated genomic engineering strategies, in order to study the impact of patient-specific variants across and between the cell types of the brain.

@ianxtreem JBP is telling the truth, I see it, and in the light of day. I'd recommend Stephen Hicks, too. Come out of your dystopian fantasy, check it out.

Culver City Council in Los Angeles voted 3-2 this week to take out bike lanes and reinstall vehicular traffic lanes just two years after the bike lanes were put in.Apr 28, 2023

Been following Dr Grandin for decades, pretty good movie out on her life, too. An unexpected interview, but one very much on target.

Also: "The theory that the Flavian dynasty, consisting of emperors Vespasian, Titus, and Domitian, wrote the New Testament is called the "Flavian authorship theory" and is most prominently presented in the book "Caesar's Messiah" by Joseph Atwill, which argues that the Gospels were written to legitimize Roman rule by portraying Jesus as a messianic figure controlled by the Flavian family, particularly in the aftermath of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD." @verarobinson9261 "paid", doubt he even knows what AIPAC is. CAIR is must more active and spending more money than AIPAC here in America.
2
Harold Bloom was 85 when Naomi was 50. I feel like an intruder, as this is less an interview and more a therapy session. She has left so much of her life unresolved and remains disintegrated, perhaps because her identity and income is locked to it.
2
Adolescent confusion at maturation is now being encouraged and valorized. Not good.

3rd rail, too hot to touch, Feminist Critical Theory, the personal is political, fake it till you make it. How to turn that ship, it has huge momentum.
2
I would like JBP do a show on how and why in the last 50 years K-12 educators have promoted, supported, and rewarded those with Cluster B personality disorders, which appear to be that "loud minority" he keeps referring to. I saw this begin in the late 60s at my Jr. High in California, and it was driven by female teachers who had no idea how to handle boys like me, but seem to relate well with girls who exhibited Cluster B disorders, and some of the boys who did, as well.

? JD Vance has a mixed-race family, Trump's Chief of Staff is a Woman, Kash Patel is not a "billionaire" and a person of color, Secretary of Treasury is a Gay Man, Scott Bessent. Out of the 16 confirmed Cabinet positions, only a few are billionaires, and those in finance, where they should be.
2
My neighbor city of West Hollywood, CA just had an "ALL AGES" Drag Queen parade sponsored by the city. Kids can't read or due math, but encouraged to "dress up".
2
I agree, but he content is so dense, it's worth it, and will need to be repeated to pull content.

@illbeyourmonster5752 How does G_d treat animals?
2
@cf1494 Like those in NYC trial of DJT? Should he now be treated as an "animal", and what would that treatment entail?
2
@RespectMatters452 Thanks, you placed your comment in quotes with no attribution. Are you now attributing it to Judge Judy?
