The fact is that for the most of the history those values were part of the Western civilisation as well: God, family, nation, patriotism, strength, responsibility, respect, humility and wisdom coming from Christianity.
It only changed with WWI and even more with WWII, when marxist, freemasonic and Jewish values started to replace traditional Western culture. Western Civilization was always more individualistic then other cultures, but It was never hyperindividualistic like it is today. People lived in communities and were meeting in church, at festivals and community events. It was never strongly collectivist either, the balance was just right.
I think the West needs its spiritual rebirth and return to tradition. I agree with certain thinkers who predict the emergence of new right-wing movements in the West in the future that will embrace collectivism, tradition and Christianity.
