  9.  @JamesSmith-qs4hx  Broadly true, from a very basic perspective. "Control" is a little strong, it's more like an influence. But the tilt of the earth plays a much larger part. I'm not sure who controls me, that's a deep philisophical question. But it's pretty clear who pulls your strings.

  34. Immigration is a big source of labour for the NHS so curbing that might not have the results you want. Less staff means more pressure on the service. As for "benefits", they don't mean anything if you can't afford to pay rent or put food on the table.

  44.  @Suscida  That's a really weak argument. Starting with "there's plenty of literature" and then not naming a single one is pretty poor. But the way you characterise a person's self-identification as "normalising body dysmorphia" is completely backwards. By giving an individual the right to self-identify, you address the body dysmorphia at the route. Whereas the alternatives... therapy, medication... yeah, that's life-long, expensive in the case of therapy and rife with side-effects in the case of medication.
