@SwiftBG Oh yeah, don't even get me started on the magical ceremonial mace.
3
@John-qq8he What theatres did Churchill fight in? What plans did he concieve, what equipment did he design, what resources did he manufacture? You're right. Small part.
3
@myx0myc0t4 My apologies. Dealing with Peterson fanboys can make me weary and chips away at my ability to interpret nuance. Nor had I seen all the other replies. Now that I have... I'm inclined to agree. I always have to remind myself that something about Peterson appeals to a mental age of about 14.
3
Despite all the evidence showing how out of touch they are...
3
You're funny. Transparent and obvious, but funny.
3
I'd be happier if I saw more of it being invested in our infrastructure and social support.
3
Felixthetwat Yes.
3
@ftumschk You're immediately conflating calling out lies with the presenter simply giving their opinion. That is not the point at all. It's about highlighting when false information is used to try and make a point. That's it. Because content like this IS how many people learn about what is happening. That's why news media exists. What you're arguing for is how we end up with the invasion of Iraq.
3
@flyingfishnet You've been very vague on what you think the "trans agenda" that's being pushed actually is. Mostly you've shown yourself to be completely ignorant and driven by wacky notions.
3
@_xeere You're changing the parameters of your question, which was "is the island habitable". Generations of people have lived there. It is definitely habitable. You sound like you're trying to make excuses for not doing anything.
3
@ads13924 How so? Because its people calling out in support of Palestinian civilians or for peace in general who are frequently told that they're just terrorist supporters.
3
@samwise1790 You effectively just said that Palestinian civilians are being killed for the greater good. And you want to talk about moral and ethical distinctions?
3
@avitalsheva And what was it about the white nationalist "great replacement" conspiracy theory that appealed to you?
3
@avitalsheva Nah, you're just parroting someone else's fantasy, rather than seeing the situation for what it is.
3
@Emilyb21-dm3bf You can drop the act.
3
@keirmitchell5560 Mhmm. And where are they now? He might be able to charm, he doesn't seem worth sticking around for though, does he.
3
@Norfolkandchance886 Using a photo and a typical name as a user handle is no guarantee of authenticity. Nice try at the deflection, though.
3
Looking like the Greens will get my vote too. Starmer looks more indistinguishable from the Tories with each day that passes and he's taking the Labour party with him. Either we re-take the Labour party or I'm voting for people who actually care about this country.
3
@mark.e.p Which woman?
3
I'm English and I've had enough of the people featured in this video. Why do you think you're some kind of cultural spokesperson?
3
@bojack6987 Again, how do you know? Did you go around and interview every other person there? Can you show evidence of them articulating their point well?
3
Cast away the shoe, follow the gourd!
3
Except you're the one having a strop about it. Sounds pretty damp to me.
3
Not entirely accurate. Spanish General Valeriano Weyler created the first camps in Cuba, about a decade before the Boer War. It was from him that the British Empire (not specifically England) got the idea.
3
@jamesgray1210 Aaand now your surprise makes sense.
3
@grtcara8386 Explain how that works, when the Labour option is just Tory-lite?
3
I do hope someone has since explained to him that plate armour like that didn't exist in "George's" time.
3
For as much as Truss has talked about the importance of investing in the country, she doesn't like to acknowledge how that is literally what taxes are for. I'd like to talk about where those tax funds go...
3
It's also outright toxic to abandon values and principles just to get power.
3
@annem9195 So your take is that you don't mind so long as you don't have to notice?
3
@evolassunglasses4673 What about this a smear?
3
@fredgarvinMP Yeah, a great academic... when he's not talking rubbish about lobsters. Evolutionary psychology is a joke, really.
3
@raquetdude Don't forget about the lobsters!
3
@doghouseriley4732 Examples?
3
@doghouseriley4732 There's certainly a debate to be had over whether he's actually misogynistic or just plain sexist, though it would quickly become a matter of semantics. Certainly, I've read a couple of feminist philosophers who don't feel he fits the mark of "misogynist". What's undeniable is that he holds and promotes deeply archaic views around gender and roles. So I don't think it's misunderstanding Peterson that leads people to accuse him of misogyny. It's the things he says. And I don't think an argument that boils down to "I can't be racist, I have black friends" is the stunning counter-argument you seem to think it is.
3
@TheHonestJock Then learn the history. Recent pogroms in Eastern Europe and Russia resulted in a lot of Jewish folk fleeing west to countries such as Germany, Austria, Poland etc. Just because you don't accept the parallels, doesn't mean they aren't present.
3
@paulsawtell3991 Who's Joe?
3
@georgerobartes2008 No, we don't.
3
We are allowed and no-one can stop us. Sunak and Starmer and their ilk can make their crass statements, doesn't change what we think or our ability to express it.
3
Where were you? If you're trying to shame people over something you don't actually care about, it's hard to take you seriously.
3
@markhenry192 Go on, what were you going to say?
3
@markhenry192 I wanna see if you understand how stupid the comment you were about to make is.
3
What are you even on about? You're just making stuff up and applying it in general, why?
3
I believe you're an idiot.
3
When you hold figures from the past up and view their actions uncritically, idolising them in the process, you normalise their actions, their attitudes.
3
@molsy1768 If Labour under Starmer increasingly resemble Tories, why support Labour?
3
If they cared about the message they wouldn't object so vociferously to the means.
3
@markwalker4142 Sure you have.
3
@pablobalde1121 I've been on one. The "rhetoric" was explicitly about bringing in a ceasefire, stopping the killing of children and releasing all the hostages. What are you referring to?
3
@raypowell5701 The reality of the situation is far more complicated than this child's tale you've presented.
