  1. Good one, Adam. You can get great deals on whole salmon fillets. Here in Bloomington they are usually $10-$13 per pond, and are wild Alaskan sockeye caught and processed in the US. If you see "Product of (any other country)" on the package, I find those to be of questionable quality--mushy, not firm, and an off smell. Also note that Scottish salmon is generally farmed, too.
