The corporations, voice tracking and iHeart radio already pretty much killed off local radio here in the states. DAB was never implemented here.

There was a legendary pirate here in the states many years ago. WHOT 91.5 Brooklyn, New York. There were others, but WHOT was the best of them.

@Stoney3K DAB never took off here in the states, but Sirius XM Satellite radio has. It costs between $11 to $22 a month.

15 wpm beacon? Interesting, I always thought that beacons were slow. The ones I hear on the long wave band here in North America are like 5 wpm or less.
