There are plenty of people in the all countries that don't want to get involved. There is a show in the US about it called "What would you do?" Some people help and some don't. Not helping is not exclusive to Japan. I am an American living in Japan and I see people helping people in distress.

Old people are set in their ways and you are not going to teach these old dogs new tricks so just let them be..

So dropping an Atomic bomb is "friendly and kind"?

And housing homeless people.

A lot of the elderly in Japan volunteer cleaning their neighborhoods and volunteer as crossing guards near school because it gets them out and about and occupies a few hours of their day.
22
The bad thing is when the rich people flaunt wearing their high end brands and laugh at you for wearing hand me downs.

It's a requirement to have indoor shoes.

There are plenty of capsule bathrooms in a lot of Japanese apartments.

A lot of workplaces have a morals clause so they can fire you.

@aldoblack5982 I don't think their personalities will mesh.

Yes, There are quite a few churches in Japan. There are also religious missionaries of all faiths trying to spread their gospel. Walk around Shinjuku station and you will see them handing out pamphlets.

Japan has been wearing masks for decades for medical and sanitary reasons.

Too many races and cultures all wanting to do things their own way.

These businesses need local repeat customers. Tourists only stop once or not at all. Most tourists have a been there done that, so many places to explore, no need going back to the same place and if they do come back to a particular store it will be a year or 3 years gap. They can't depend on tourists traffic.

It’s probably better here than your home country
3
That's the Japanese way, make people feel guilty or shame.
3
@Wimlan I like buying and wearing second hand underwear.
3
It's expensive in Japan too. That small cup is almost three dollars American but there are seasonal favors which is awesome.
3
That's cuz, Americans are allowed to wear pajamas and sweats to work. If you were a client how would you feel if people showed up in pajamas for a meeting?
3
I liked the sweet potato vendor.
3
Japan has been wearing masks since the 60's and 70's.
3
Not only are they clean but you rarely see any vehicles with dents or beat up cars.
3
People cleaning in and around their homes and businesses has nothing to do with public services. People volunteering to clean up their beaches or neighborhoods doesn't involve the government.
3
They are there for blind people to help navigate the streets.

Gaijins are always staying in their bubble.

Stamping expiration dates on the eggs

So true, I always leave a huge mess. I paid so they can clean it up.

Please praise yourself.

Except in Japan, some people will keep speaking to you in Japanese, even if you only respond in English.
2
So your rational is let every young person get the virus and it's alright.

Great job, Greg. This was the most comprehensive report on the pandemic in Japan. Don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch but definitely proved the naysayers wrong especially a lot of the Western J vloggers living in Japan. I have always like Governor Koike ever since the fish market fiasco and not giving into the pressure to move before additional studies about Toyosu. Can’t wait for your follow up videos.

You might be able to find Hokkaido ice cream at one of the Hokkaido satellite stores in Tokyo. There is a store by Tokyo station.

Tourists are flying from somewhere, take 5 minutes on your 10 hour flight and learn 1 word or 2.
2
That's happens in Japan during spring and summer but it's winter now so kind of cold outside.
2
Japan doesn't take away a person's passport, they advise you to turn in your passport for the other country but some people don't and keep both.
2
It's a school not an orphanage.
2
There are some "all you can eat" places that will charge you extra if you order food and don't eat it because you are wasting food.
2
Narita also has flight restrictions. Planes can't arrive or depart between 10pm and 5 am.
2
My area of Nakano didn't have English announcements. Great video by the way.

Next time you visit ask them, talk with them. I think both parties will enjoy the interaction.
2
The hiccups are a reason why tourists don't venture outside of the triangle especially with the language barrier.
2
I don't think Greg was trying to belittle any countries, he was just noting that Japan has a long history and there are some temples that were built almost a thousand years ago that are still standing.
