Collecting patient data from a few hundred hospitals and then compiling and interpreting them is not a study anyway. It is an essay.
2
The study said nothing else than those who are infected already do not benefit from the application of hydroxychloroquine. The other observational report that Deca Dent linked says, it may be beneficial as a prophylaxis. Two different pair of shoes. Marketing tends to put scientists down. They can be difficult to understand, and too often they do not say something that helps selling, even the opposite. But studies are important and have to be. Scientists on the other hand put experience down. Hong Kong and Taiwan told us wearing masks has shown greater benefit than physical distancing. So, I do take them serious, they tackled the crisis situation well. I will wear a mask then, since it is easy to do, and does not limit my freedom much. I trust them without a detail study. Where are more experiences with hydroxychloroquine?

I concur

In Singapore officers will do random video calls at the homes of the quarantined people. The person has to show face in front of a background, which was photographed before. If they have suspicions they even call through the night.

Most of the causes of death as seen on the table 3:50 are non-transmittable diseases, diseases that are more in the personal responsibility of the individual. What I find much more strange is Event 201. They call it a pandemic tabletop exercise, held on 18. of October 2019 together with business leaders, scientists, and politicians. It was a kind of virtual run through the spread of a zoonotic coronavirus. A few weeks later it became real. Note the very low media exposure of Event 201, almost silence. Read here for a summary: https://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/event201/scenario.html or view this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoLw-Q8X174&t=2s

Not a single cold in my sons entire class since school reopening on 12 June.
2
Well, yea, we know that all already. Virus is not going away until there is an effective vaccine, and the vast majority of people has been immunized. That will probably take another 2 years in total, or longer. It is a small issue to live with a face mask, relatively seen. Even though 30 C and 95 % rH are not a joke with mask, I can take it. But ... I feel very sad for my son. Sad to be born into a world where he can only live in with a mask, where he can only see his relatives and his fiends with a mask, where we have to suspect infection everywhere and anytime. Shame on those who did that, shame all over you.

Chris Stevens You have to follow the rules, even if you do not like them. Democracy does not mean following your own set of rules. And the first post is a false statement.
2
Chris Stevens You have to follow the laws and rules that are implemented in your country, if you want it or not. If you disagree with these, your choice is not boycotting them, but voicing up and next time to elect another candidate. If the current Premier is Boris Johnson in your country, good luck.
2
Chris Stevens Sorry Chris, I am out. I am at that point neither interested in the past, nor in conspiracy theories. I just want this pandemic to end asap, and then focus on posting everywhere that the countries of the world should find agreements to prevent these kind of gifts from China.

@moonknightish Despite its relatively high infection rate, the German health system is not even under a very big stress yet. They have accepted patients from Italy and France. What does it mean? It means the health system of major countries in the world is insufficient. As easy as that. It is sufficient for normal times, but not for crisis situations. Despite what many Germans think, the German health system has not been saved to death. Even though a number of things could be better still.
2
In my mindset you can make new friends but still behave safe.

not long, 2 days, max 3

I am living in Asia since 25 years. My opinion is, the future is in Indochina, Thailand and Vietnam in particular. These are the countries I always love to travel to, and Thailand is now my main business destination. The Philippines also would have potential, there are good people,. But the uppermost 3 % won't let them come up. There are many things that need improvements but overall ... anyways, that's my opinion.
2
@clarissamcpigeon7857 Clarissa, it's not the same. - Sweden has a better health system. Your health system is in a normal winter month already bending just like a thin tree in the storm. - Swedish people have a natural tendency to more daily physical distancing. They also live more spread out. Look at your lads ... so hard for them to dismiss the Friday drink.
2
@makoto4341 I am with you (and with Dr. Campbell, too). It spreads so much because of re-active behaviour. This is the exact reason. The containment measurements most countries are taking are like throwing sand into the eyes of people.
2
@vegahimsa3057 They will tell you: Everything under control. Blocking the road traffic but a simple explanation why you have to pass can suffice. Not stopping international flights. I mean ... that says everything, or? Millions of people will feel being lied to and cheated.
2
@vegahimsa3057 The German minister of health Mr. Spahn speaks in public and in front of the media openly about the crisis, that it will not be possible to avoid numbers climbing up significantly, and all they can do is care for those in need best as possible. He also said hospital had been preparing from the beginning of the crisis and they are quite ready for the big wave. No mass panic, beside of some who believe toilet paper is needed for survival.
2
I am only here to tell you I have no fear. Germany, my country of birth, and Singapore, where I live now, both managed the crisis comparably well, with relatively low CFR. It's the countries which have catastrophic results, among them the US, the UK, France, and more. But I would rather fear their banana republic governance than the virus.
2
@bumblesquatt Having another view is ok. Calling up on people to break the laws is not ok.

Thank you, China

@jerrycann9072 You are right I got that wrong in writing. Certainly I meant to say they were tested for the full course, not for 1/2 course. Sorry for that. I think we better insist to let science first look at things and not decide on basis of assumptions (wich is what is being fortunately promoted on this channel), then we should not support such decisions. To my personal opinion the decision for one shot first is more carried by the desperate situation of both UK and the US. It is not backed up by data. This is in line with a response from Biontech/Pfizer. They are right, IMO.
1
@jerrycann9072 A complete lockdown for about 6 - 8 weeks would be the alternative, which is from what I see not possible with British people. We had that here in Singapore btw.. I am sorry to see the formerly really +Great+ Britain dwarfing itself. Even the best solution is only a bad solution now. And actually - since I have started to be honest already - I know the reason why not that many are interested in the Astrazenica vaccine yet. Unkown efficacy, questionable phase 3, same as the Sinovac, not really acceptable. Get that right and people will be takers.
1
@jerrycann9072 Jerry, take care you and your family stay healthy! Alle the best wishes from Singapore

Family came from Wuhan, father felt unwell but still shared hotel room with his family. How would you define dumb?

I am waiting for the video showing 6 men standing in front of Dr. Campbells door and ask to measure his temperature and offer him food.

Mark Wills After 2 months staying home, I saw the beginning of mental problems with my son. He got thick-skinned, did not want to learn anymore, got more easily agitated. Usually he's a friendly and almost everyday happy child. They need their peers, they need the group interaction, they need to communicate with humans at the same age, not only with us silly adults. Young kids might be ok with parents only, but at 11 yo he needs his friends, too.
1
Mark Wills Yep. He will be together with his friends, but he needs the kids he does not like so much, too. The group, the class unit, a tiny representation what he will see later in the big world.
1
Mark Wills here in Singapore Primary is from 7 - 13. He's 11 yo..
1
It seems mostly the younger generation who believes that all this is a big lie.
1
We want his kind of "Britishness" back, please. It would make the world a bit of a better place.
1
Japan ... incredible low number of deaths? How about Singapore? 55000 infections, only 28 death. Also look at Vietnam, Thailand, and there are a couple of others who fared much better than Japan. Columbia has a lower death rate than the UK at double the infection numbers, but good ...? Dr. Campbell, it is not so the countries which you mentioned are doing well. But it is a direct reflection of the governance quality. Specifically true for the CFR. Some of the worst are Brazil, the US and the UK. All 3 have been showing awful crisis management. Strangely their leaders are still popular with the people. It seems almost as if good performance is not important anymore for a politician, but the entertainment value.
1
We do not need a Tedros, who is only repeating what everyone who keep himself fairly updated knows anyway.

@Radwyn Althor There we have it.

@syncmaster915n exactly

President Trump 23:15 Let's stay within the field of science https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmLxhQEasWI

It would be extremely useful, as then we know who of us can continue with normal life.
1
tell me which are you referring to and I'll happily correct my words or delete them. It is not my intention to harm anyone. I am just deeply disappointed, that's all.
1
@Shizhe Hu Armando Silvier is a Christian who is pissed that his fellow church friends spread virus by ignoring doctors orders. Unbelievable immature people here.
1
He even got a number of likes. Wonder on what drug he is.
1
@itawolf2494 A doubling in tests as compared to one month before
1
Felipe Murillo if you do these 3 things consequently the crisis should be under control in 4 maximum 6 weeks.
1
You can't come Asians with figures, it is usually ineffective. Facts based on figures, it does not reach most of them. I have the same experience here in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, China, ...
1
@zaonyrichardson6858 everyone may go back to a simpler life when it is over. I am in Singapore, I am 62, I have heart issue, I will probably not make it.
1
@zaonyrichardson6858 Everything that we do produce, the first question should be: How does that improve our lifes, how does that help the world? Stay well!
1
In the modern media world DW is a good place to be. Watch their program for a while, and you will see what I mean.
1
Who else saw the pictures of people from the UK flooding the train stations and airports right after it came out that there is a more infectious strain? Dr. Campbell, your country has failed completely, second to the US, if we look at the developed western nations. It is no use anymore trying to hide this, the people in the UK did not get the message at all. The source of such problems usually stems from incompetent crisis management by a government.
1
simply buy his books
1
@Erumyr Look at the prices of his books at Amazon, then you know what he cares for. The rest, if he has a pension or is billionaire is none of our business.
1
What I am really not clear about and I feel not informed is the Event 201, held only 2 months before the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic. So many similarities, so close to an actual incident. Note: I am not antivaxxer, I do not believe in "Bill Gates is a reptile" - theories, or anything like this.
