  14. Ayush Pandey Is not just the apps. See, some features added now on Lollipop were already on WP. So if Android was missing something, they just added it. That's developing your own platform. In my case, being a WP user for the past 2 years I haven't seen any MIND BLOWING upgrades. Yes they added stuff, but I do believe they could've done it way further and make a really solid competitor. If they would've done that, probably companies would be interested and not leaving official apps at a crappy state and/or in BETA phase cough instagram cough. So yeah, not just about apps, it's about everything.

While the Z3+ and Z5 are really bad phones compared to the quality of the Z line Sony was building up, this proves 100% Sony's first statement of using 1080p panels while others already were using 2K. There are slight differences but for the normal use and naked eye, 1080p is more than enough.

  18. This is not a new idea! I already saw a curved display device that was introduce in a build (can't remember which one) where they also introduced the flexible display devices. The guy pulls out a weird ... phone let's say and it plays with its case, which actually covered everything but the edge. That was its funcionality, an edge to see notificacions or quick messages without unlocking the phone or stuff like that.

  31. 1366x768 Laptop res in desktop monitor unite! We're second :P Cool video MK. I think is not really a good point to bother either. You saw yourself, the second most used res is mine (stated above) which I assume are either used by people most likely with notebooks and or people in places where even 1080 can't be afforded (hello from the other side) so considering this I think for TV and stuff it'll be a really long couple of years or more until majority of people are settled with 4K displays to enjoy the content.

  39. This is coming from someone who's never owned a Note but I've had an LG KP970 (if I remember correctly) in my hands, as well as a PalmOne back in the day. I think I would use the S-pen frequently, with some exceptions, just because of that old feel and commodity, as well as trying to get the screen to fill with finger grease the least as possible.

  43. You can make a 10 dollar or 1000 dollars phone but why do you have to name it so badly? Just call it the Infinix 1. Or the Infinix Note, and then the 2 and so on and forth. Why is it the Note. Where's the normal one? Why's the 8th? Where are the other 7? Great work though! Looks interesting. I'd change the camera stuff. If I pay 200 bucks for the phone, you are right, you are clearly knowingly going into a 'budget' phone. You don't care much about the cameras and you don't care much about the screen. Maybe if you do, it's what you can afford, so either way you won't be picky in that regard and you'll try to make it work. So, cut cost on all the other cameras, go Pixel route. Leave only 1 that is decent and that's it. People who buy this phone are not going to create content at night shooting it with the phone daily. I know this because I went from a Sony Xperia ZL (used and it aged really badly) to a J5 Prime, which I still use. It takes... nice pics overall with great lighting. Like for social media and stuff is more than ok. So that's where your aim should be at. Doing what you can well instead of resembling expensive things. Also you didn't mention the specs, I think? Maybe you weren't allowed to, but it's weird. Just for the sake of knowing. The most impressive to me, when they do it are screen and camera when they are cheap. Battery life is kind of a cheating feature because if it's a cheap phone with low res screen and low consumption chip and a big battery, it'll last (generally speaking). Some more expensive phones still have "ok" battery life. So not even those do it great.

That Mac dark mode looked like every dark mode should be. Of course a bunch of Linux distros are already dark and great looking. Now Microsoft should do it correctly.

  48. As EU folks have said, here in South America happens the same with WhatsApp. And you talked about India and businesses. Here, carrier plans literally have 1 or 2 GB a month for YouTube and TikTok (besides the GBs of the month) but also has "unlimited free whatsapp" which means, even if you run out of data, you can still use whatsapp. Google's "messages" is as far as I know, not through internet, is not pushed with marketing/data plans and worst of all, companies like Samsung have their own shit on top of Google's shit. So you have 2 browsers, 2 messages apps etc - all to end up installing a 3rd browser which you use on the computer and a 3rd/4th app for messaging (whatsapp, telegram). And that's because of availability, pricing and the "culture" around Android. iPhone is super popular in the US and maybe some other country, but the rest of the world runs on Android (stock) or a fork of it, on which companies on top put their own spin on it. That is the blessing and the curse of Android. A much more versatile, diverse, open system - but also not a very integrated one. In fact, for us, SMS are GARBAGE. Literally, all we get through "messages" are promos and scams, lol. Because everyone and their mother uses WhatsApp. It's so ingrained, that when whatsapp goes down, everyone defaults to Telegram or even Twitter. They don't even think of SMS. SMS/MMS have been deleted from our minds.

  50. I think overall Google mops the floor with the rest. And then #2 spot is between Siri and to my surprise Bixby. Considering Bixby is new and Siri is not and had time to be optimized and better integrated with everything, I'd say Bixby tied with it by opening the camera, searching the app, etc. It surprised me it did everything. Search wise though, obviously is not the best. IMO If anyone wants to make a new voice assistant should focus on: search capabilities and recognition of situation (follow up things like Google did) as well as fast performance. I wouldn't use it to "open this and do the other thing and...". But maybe that's just me.
