  1. Dumb gripe: Why do they call colors like this? Everytime you see "bronze" let's say a bronze tray/platter, or cables... (as in wires), they are orange. A specific orange, yes, but orange. This is pink-ish. If you hadn't said "bronze", I would've said "Rose gold".

  7. Rollable display is the BEST non-working (yet) application of the idea. Now it makes sense. It's a phone, but if you want to watch a movie or share something with someone in a bigger screen, you just roll it out. I hope that one makes it.

  13. I think this review should have 2 main points: A) Are the pictures the same quality as the Pixel 3? B) Everyday use performance: Does it lag? Stutter? Anything? Or is it good despite (obviously) a bit slower?

  16. I had a Samsung F250 back in the day before I got mugged. I used it as a relaxer sliding it all the time and it didn't matter. Also it wasn't as "grippy" either. Idk man, Xiaomi makes things right. I feel the downsides to this method are only on paper and exceptions.

  18. Well... why not just say "Hello, I'm (person's name) Google Assistant, I'm calling for..." and so on, with a human way of speaking. I think I'd personally would be feeling great on the tech side of things, and human side of things knowing I'm speaking with your assistant. And it wouldn't be bad letting them know they're talking to a robot for 2 reasons: 1- they know it's not a person. It's not something "fake" or trying to deceive them and 2- they will KNOW it's not a person and it's just a robot commanded to (like in this case) make a haircut appointment. So that will give the person working and on the phone the knowledge to not say things deviating from the appointment topic. Also, this is kind of amazing, but I wonder... are they going to do this for every language everywhere? I don't see this working outside of the capital city of my country and if it did, it'd be weird as hell having someone to call you with central american, Mexican or Spanish (from Spain) accent... etc.

  20. See, this is where they've gone the South American route (joke at myself). We have a saying "Lo barato sale caro" which means cheap things cost more. I get it, they wanted to make a true budget phone. But that's where my problem starts. Budget how? And for whom? And the problem with this is that at the end of the day, a lot of people will feel they paid "too much money for something they can't use". If it's slow and lags and such, it's a bad experience. Sure, a lot of people won't care. Say your mom who's pressed "YES" to every single Chrome notification so now she has a stack of 500 notifications that lag the phone down. She won't understand what's happening, but she will feel is kinda shitty. Considering the top dogs are up to 1400 US dollars, they should make "budget" phones around 200 and 250 for an overall GOOD experience. Like back in the day... Nexus 4 and 5 were around 300-350 or something. If you could make an enjoyable minimal experience today for 250 you're good to go.

And yes, a lot, saying almost literally every creator is saying the same thing. You're not saying anything out of the ordinary or that it's weird to think. What is weird is these "tests" youtube ran and how they came to the conclussion that all these dislikes targeting were enough reason to do this site wide change. Because that argument on itself is illogical. I won't go over it again.

  28. Shoutout to Jarvis in the back. On the credit note: Don't artists and people "agree" to give their rights to whatever platform they upload stuff? Like I'm sure at some point the ToS on platforms state that the image "will now be public domain" and stuff like that. If not, they can be sued. And they should. But I've seen a bunch of times the ToS notice pop up and tell you that proceeding means you agree with the platform "collecting your data and doing who knows what".

  30. Why would you "do massive work" to build up your own store if you can't make business with US companies? Like wouldn't they need to do business/pay licenses or cut deals with Twitter, Facebook, etc? Unless they develop some weird "Chrome OS" like software where you "open tabs" on a browser as apps and use the web version of these? but that's far from ideal.

  34. How much would be to build a full fledged Threadripper PC + Vega 64 16GB and 128GB of RAM with such an SSD? Because with this, and how the market is going right now for PC parts, I would say for the first time I would much rather buy this iMac Pro for 13K rather than build a cheaper workstation. Sure, it would be cheaper, but with this you're paying commodities, form factor, design AND the performance optimization. I don't think Adobe Premiere would do as well as Final cut. Never tried final cut, and probably never will because I can't, and I haven't even tried heavy editing on Premiere on a high end machine and even less on a high end workstation. Still, I feel a lot of these details are done well because it's optimized.

  38. I'm disappointed that you had a voice as a creator but not as a customer or consumer of YouTube. You say a lot of "random" or "casual" people will just get in and that's it. But there are also other people who are not creators that spend hours watching content of these creators, and it'd be nice to have a voice that "all these useful features" are not that useful and these experiments are annoying as fuck. A lot of things aren't even 'added features' or QoL changes. They're annoying replacements. I understand your side, you are a creator first, but at the same time no YouTube consumer will have a big enough voice to be heard or do a "Dear YouTube" video that gets taken seriously and/or is not half divided by people who don't find these things "as annoying".

Not yours, just in general. Whether basketball shoes or casual going out ones, different brands and styles all have that hideous soles. And yes, I am aware it probably has a reason, but there is no reason to me that will excuse the hideous look.

  42. can't they add a tiny really thin plastic or something to cover the back of the screen when unfolded, and then when folded just sits on the insides of the hinge? That way you'd have a "flat surface" underneath the screen making you not feel the crease. Overall looks nice. I am not particularly excited for this trend though, especially because of the price.

  43. Please let me know a reason or situation where you need more than 1080p or 1440p max on your phone. I'm not saying it's useless, or it doesn't look great, but like why? These are the type of company trends that are just dumb. On a tv I get it, on a monitor, I totally get it. But on a phone? Why? It consumes more power, needs more resources for those pixels and what are you doing on a 6.5'' screen that you need so many? The same with the ultra fast charging, I feel thermodynamic or whatever physical laws cannot be broken so at the end of the day, something's gotta give and fail. And then the design is meh, vegan is bs and the camera is gigantic with the same issues, for sure, the Nokia 1020 had.

  47. You never do bad reviews. They are all just usually incomplete and for the regular viewer. You don't go in depth for 30 minutes with all the technical stuff. And that's ok. You never did and you're almost at 20 million subs with billions of views. You shouldn't care about idiots on twitter too much. Just keep doing what you do and the people that like your content will keep watching. Your reviews are never bad because they aren't good either. They're mostly opinion pieces from a wildly popular content creator that is usually a bit more knowledgeable in that area than the rest of us. If anything, a video you make might have a "negative opinion" on a product, mostly because the product is bad. So don't sweat it.

  48. Make it simple, market it to the masses. Go back the to Z roots (Xperia Z1, Z2, Z3). The Z3 was THE best phone back in the day. Go back to that with the new modern additions. And make a more premium version, bigger, and then a cheaper version that is the "mini". edit: Xperia keyboard used to be THE BEST keyboard that learnt your patterns as well. After Sony got bored of being awesome at making phones they dropped the ball, and so their software kinda sucks in comparison to others that kept making phones all the time.

  49. I love these videos MK, hopefully you read this. Now, I know a lot of these people are not only great content creators but also friends of yours. And most of them are American, which gives them the option to access a wider variety of tech, whether it's for price range, quality, vendors, models or even type. However, I think this could be interesting if you got tech YouTubers from across the globe. I think it'd be truly interesting to hear what is their favorite tech of that year and why. Not everyone has the same accessibility, some might have other issues. Maybe health issues and their piece of tech is more than just an iPhone. Others might cater to the mid-range devices due to price or availability, etc. Just an idea, of course :D
