  2. It does not need to happen look at Mexico, Canada, Colombia and Panama. They do exactly what Trump wants all because he said time for tariffs. He just wants Hamas to come to the negotiating table, US will not take over Gaza strip. Useless piece of land that has no value what so ever.

  3.  @osloqt  The real world is pretty simple, if the Arabs were stronger they would own the land that's pretty much it. 1400 years ago the Arabs were strong, they conquered the area and made it their home, then the British came, they were stronger than the Arabs so they claimed the land. Now Israel is strong so they hold on to the land. Maybe in the future the Arabs will be strong again and lay claim to the land but until then it belongs to Israel. You can come with Historical claims and DNA analyses as much as you want, it won't change a thing. Only thing that matters is military strength.

  7. It's just a play to get a better deal at the negotiating table. US got what it wanted from Panama, Mexico and now Canada bending over and coming to terms with Trump. The US does not want Gaza it's a useless land that nobody wants. Egypt said no, Israel gave it away, the main income of the Gaza strip is foreign aid, they produce nothing and they make nothing. They are just pushing Hamas to the negotiating table.

  8.  @TheTrinquility  Sweden and Finland lifted their arms embargo, refused all other demands Turkeys "terrorist list" won't be extradited and YPG won't be a terrorist organization. Everything is the same except Turkey can now buy Swedish and Finnish weapons and Sweden and Finland has promised to take Turkey's concerns "seriously" that's it. Weapons and a Promise that can mean anything.

  11.  @Luke-PlanesTrainsDogsnCars  He did not back down from those, Canada, Colombia, Panama and Mexico all came and made the deals he wanted. US was never going to put tariffs on them just trying to push them to make a deal. China on the other hand though... those tariffs might happen.

  13. Democracy would not work in a place like that. You have to understand it's a culture of clan/family loyalty. Furthering your clans interest over the nation is totally normal so anyone getting into power will fill the government body with friends and family and run it like a family business - not a nation state. They could not care less of what happens to people that are not associated with their clan.

  14.  @birkangurel1327  Sweden and Finland gave Turkey the lift of the arms embargo and a promise to take Turkey's concerns "seriously" with no specific actions linked to the promise. Basically Erdogan let them in even though they refused all demands except the weapons. So it looks like Erdogan finally made a secret deal with another NATO member (perhaps the US) or he just realized he cannot get what he wants.

  15.  @neodym5809  Get a green card/residence permit - all you need for that is to be married to a EU citizen or have a child that is a EU citizen. This ban will not affect those with family members that are EU citizens can get there with said green card/residence permit.

Nope Turkey is still Turkey the UN decision only affects diplomatic relations and official documents between nations it has nothing to do with the English language, just how Turkey should be addressed during diplomatic and official state affairs. The UN does not possess the power to change the English language.

  28. Thanks but no thanks. Let the dictators play with the other dictators in a separate play pen and we play with our fellow democracies and allies. The west gets to set the rules for everyone else since they are the top dogs in the game. Perhaps in the future that will change eventually who knows. Maybe 10 years, maybe 100 maybe 200? Until then thanks but no thanks. The strong will conquer the weak, if you are the weak then you should stay quiet and be a good dog until you are strong enough to change things.

  30. Turkey doesn't have any leverage, the US won't agree to any of it and all other NATO members are getting annoyed at them. In the end Erdogan realized he would not get anything from it and just signed it.

  32. Swedish Politicians don't hold any power of the judiciary and cannot deny rights to groups of people based on ethnicity. Kurdish people like all individuals in Sweden have no fear of deportation as long as they stay within Swedish law and even if they don't you cannot deport people breaking every law it has to be very specific few laws that warrant deportation.

But yeah let's just add 2300 years to that because it sounds cooler and falsifying history to fit your modern narrative is more important than being factual correct. Their descendants are from the Arabian peninsula, that does not make their claim to the land null and void they have been there for more than 1000 years, just 3700 years that's just blatant lying. At the end of the day historical claims matters little, if the Arabs were stronger militarily and won the war they would own that piece of land no matter what their historical claim is that is all that matters. Israel will continue to control that territory until someone stronger than them will come and take it from them, until then it's theirs to decide what to do with no matter if it's right or wrong.

  43. The longer Russia fights the more soldiers and equipment it lose the weaker it gets. Inflation has more to do with COVID aftermath than Russia and we will bounce back. Russia can never get back then men they lost on the Front.
