  1. In hindsight it's clear why the new trilogy was never going to work in the first place. A sensible person would've turned episode 7 into a nice reunion of the old and an introduction of the new and the remaining two movies basically being something similar to Rogue One. Not groundbreaking but precisely what scratches the Star Wars itch. But these corporate hacks couldn't resist saving Luke for episode 8 and killing Han as a cheap way to establish a new villain. Thus robbing the fanbase of the reunion. Then, in order to placate the disgruntled fanbase they had to revert to more fan-service and nostalgia, all of which at the cost of developing the new characters and setting. And all of that before even getting into Kennedy unable to resist the temptation of using Star Wars as a political platform and Rian Johnson's plot vandalism.

  2. Doctor Who is about philosophical concept, not about contemporary political ones. For the new writers not to recognise that is betraying their material.

  3. The typical socialist sees wealth as a fixed amount. In order to get a share of this fixed amount, it needs to be taken from somewhere else. Or, if taken from somewhere else it will automatically flow into the rest. So for Vox, socialists that they are, to attack other youtubers believing that all of that a share of that money will flow back into their coffers for some unaccountable reason, makes perfect sense in their mind.

  5. This is just how Rian writes. He has a few 'moments' in his head and he bends everything in the story towards reaching those moments. Like a woman secretly having a plan but men around her not trusting her. Or the bad guy turning out to not being a big deal. Or a speech about pig-headed capitalism. He dots those moments down and then works backwards through the story to figure out how to get to these points.
