@Barquevious_Jackson "the worst thing that can happen is him doing nothing at all.": Congrats for showing your îgnôrance and stúpídîty so publicly. Clearly you haven't watched this video or read any page of the Project 2025 playbook. You must be in a very privileged social and financial position to have this kind of a bráìnfârt, but don't worry: You might not be the first, but eventually they'll get to you to and your right's will be taken away just like ours.

True that. If only all of the delusional protest voters would realize that and vote for the democratic candidate to prevent a fáscì$t dîctâtôrshîp.
98
You can be proud of yourself. It takes a lot of work to change so drastically, and for the better. Good luck and stay safe!
70
They know that's an impossible task. They need that security to plan what they are gonna do when the time comes.

@Chedring @Chedring : So you're just gonna conveniently ignore the fact that in marrigae women provide the man with unpaid labor, birthing and raising kids, taking care of the elderly on both sides? Women's free labor saves men trillions of dolloars that otherwise they'd have to pay for. This is also why women are owed in case of divorce.
47
Which is why voting for the non-authoritarian candidate (nowadays: Democrats) in every future election is so important. Otherwise the second foot will cross the threshold and there is no peaceful going back.

@ninaconnolly6077 @nina : Oh, it is just that. Notice how in the ceremony the father hands the bride to the soon to be husband? That's the father giving his property to her new owner. Notice that usually the man puts a ring on the woman and in some cultures the man doesn't even have a ring? That's the husband showing other men that are interested in his wife that she is already his legal property. That is also prove by the fact that marital grape wasn't even illegal until 1997.
37
Also notice how JDV, when he asks the two employees, only calls the male employee "sir" but uses no courtesy with the female employe. The overt misogyny (also misogynoir).
34
@Milwaukee : The working class is absolutely entitled to innovation and progress. After all, all of the subsidies that go into lrivate companies are taxpayer money. Additionally all of the scientific progress necessary for technology and progress is also funded by the taxpayers.
34
I bet they also spend way more on advertisements than on wages.
33
True. That also applies to gender roles.
31
@Justanothermusicnerdxo "objectively from a legal lens": This is literally an oxymoron. Laws are made by people and therefore cannot be objective ever. If laws were objective, every country would by default end up woth the same ones, but they don't. Meanwhile objective truths like gravity are facts everywhere regardless of what people think or do. You are looking at things through your biased lense.

@Awdreejahslin In very simple terms: Shrinkflation is reducing the weight of the product while still asking for the same price (smaller sized product, but for the old price of the previously bigger product). Skimpflation is about changing the ingredients up and replacing the more expensive ingredients with cheaper (and oftentimes less healthy and less nutritious) ingredients. Skimpflation is a lot more subtle, because most consumers don't even know what they are consuming, so they won't notice a change of ingredients and they won't understand how they are being robbed by companies.

We can count ourselves lucky that Harris / Walz is our ticket. When the UK got rid of Boris Johnson, they had to settle for Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.
25
Lmao, what? There is at least one entire political party and additionally plenty of private lobbyists supporting him behind the scenes. He is by no means a lone political actor.
24
"Separation of Church and State is CRUCIAL": True, but churches are nothing but tax heavens for the elite. If the separation really was that important, churches should be taxed out of existance. Religious believes aer supposed to be a private matter.
24
It goes both ways: Being rich is the only way to even have a dynasty. There are just different types of wealth: Nowadays it's mostly stocks and crypto, early on it was land and rare materials (including cash, which used to be gold and silver, not just inherently worthless pieces of paper).
21
It's sickening that universities / colleges can simply get rid of students they don't like or deny them a dergee despite them passing the tests. Both of those institutions are supposed to be for freedom of speech.
20
@misspat7555 "stop trying to put labels on everything": That's what language naturally does. You are trying to censor other people.
19
Yes. That, but starting from 45 years ago. That's when shitė really hit the fan.
18
@jgray2718 "but it wasn't the Belgian Congo, either.": Besides that being completely wrong, the bar really is in H€LL. There is no need for you to fall for the lies you've been told by the cap...ist élítè, so stop falling for them. Wake up!
17
@animal1nstinct394 "this channel has motivated me to vote for Trump": how did that happen? Did you find yourself liking project 2025?
15
If we were truely in a Gilded Age, we'd all be richer compared to the êlitė. The truth is, we are far beyond the Gilded Age already and our taxes are also a lot higher than they were back then...
15
JohnBrownsBody64920 Well, Trump is a nepo baby still, and he profits from the inherited name recognition.
14
The cãpítālì$t system that is!
14
That's what happens when you sleep in a democracy: Eventually you'll wake up in a dictatorship.
12
Nah, they'll never go after cis-het men of an abrahamic religion. That's their base. If they lose them, everything breaks down.
11
Well, some of them seem really excited to eff around and find out. The smaller escalations of Jan 6th were just the hors d'oeuvre.
10
American corporations have always learned well from fasc...ist and na...zi regimes. Many famous and wealthy Americans were those things, too, like Henry Ford.
9
@justin: Thx for bringing that up. I thought I was going crazy, but this is actually a thing.
9
@therrydicule "you can't just terminate gerrymandering if your elections are all based on geographic riding and district": You're making this unnecessarily complicated. Just implement popular vote (1 person = 1 vote). Gerrymandering isn't even a thing in most (western) countries other than the US and - according to you - Canada. Why hold on to such a silly, outdated, discriminatory system?
9
@FlawlessP401 : Just move to Russia already. You'll never have to worry about elections again. Also, Putin will be happy for you to join the front line in his special operation in Ukraine.
9
Similar in Europe. We are automatically registered from the day we turn 18 til the day we die and for every election that happens in our lifetime and that we show up to.
9
Exactly.
9
Well, welcome to the real world, where neither you or we get to pick... :-/
8
Not just land, but also natural resources.
8
@UndertakerU2ber : Citation needed. Also: Not everyone who you disagree with is a "Marxist". Especially when you conveniently ignore the difference between private and personal property. No Marxists argues against personal property unless they are a Marxist-in-name-only.
8
@DeathAndTaxesAbolitionist "Who is pushing for discrimination on the basis of race, gender and sexual orientation [...]": You are describing the right wing, not "our side".
8
@DeathAndTaxesAbolitionist "That was Democrats that were all of those things.": We are (not all) democrats. Democrats are corporatist centrist. Many people in this comment section are neither corporate Democrats nor MAGA Republicans.
8
@KnittingTinker "that end up taking care of children and at times parents": Congrats! You are a father and a son, and you've finally decided to do the job that was always yours. "doing house chores": Congrats for being a decent human being that is able-bodied and should by default contribute as much as every other able-bodied human being. "and other stuff for the family": Congrats for being a participating member of the family you more than anyone else profit from. PS: I love that you can't even name the stuff that you do, as in what chores you contribute in. That's just hilarious.
7
The joke is getting old...
7
Hi, former teacher here. I already quit, because I'm so sick of the system, especially the parts that enable students, parents, admins, and so many more to be (even physically) violent towards teachers and there being no consequences at all. Often there are also lies spread about teachers to get rid of them, which there are no consequences for, either.
7
It won't happen. Bernie is both too smart and too kind to cause unnecessary trouble and hand the election to Trump. now, if Biden died before the election, we'd be having a different conversation.
6
Instead of feelings you should prioritize facts. The facts are that under Trump we'd be worse of, but under Biden we'd be better off.
6
Ofc not. Inflation is only for the working class.
6
@Burn_Slow Neither Jill Stein, nor RFK jr., nor any other third party candidate stands a chance. A vote for any of them is a lost vote. Y'all might as well stay home them and watch Trump win, because your lost vote equates to a vote for him.
6
"the termination of lobbying and gerrymandering": All you need is to switch from the electoral college to popular vote. Gerrymandering would be completely pointless then. Getting rid of lobbying is much harder, unfortunately. The US has citizens united, which you would have to get rid of, but even then lobbying remains a problem. European countries don't have such a ruling, but lobbying still happens.
5
Still, there has to be some kind of solution where jews and muslims can coexist without offing each other.
5
"from a health & strength standpoint I’ll take Trump": He keeps falling asleep in court, while showing signs of decay. He is not as healthy as he wants you to believe.
5
It's not Leeja's fault that social media sites are censoring the truth.
