  7.  @redlion45  Saudi Arabia is the way it is NOW. When you consider the amount of taxes back then compared to right now, most of us would be better of. Heck, back then at least you could get a house and keep it as long as you worked. Nowadays eviction and what not is just one paycheck or one landlord's thought away.

You have to work in both cases, BUT the curch and the monarchy didn't want to move to the country side and live abroad the city and neither do their offspring. Your house was as good as yours and you didn't have to ask for permission every time you want to change anything, or to heat sooner than the political elite allows you to. Also no property taxes, no income tax, no tax on food or water, no taxes on clothing or wool or whatever else you need.

The same way the moon doesn't belong to Americans, as much as some of them wish it did. It was there before America and it will be there when humans are already gone. Saudi Arabia was there way before humans even existed, as was the rest of the land. just because it wasn't called "Saudi Arabia" back then, doesn't make my statement not true. By your standards the Soviet Union has never existed either, because now we call it "Russia".
