Why the tarps? The only one that died was the Tesla.
42
Contrary to what the reporter said, it is a public health concern if these people died from carbon monoxide poisoning. People don't just die from carbon monoxide poisoning like they die from a heart attack. The carbon monoxide came from somewhere. Something in the hotel (which is a public place people can walk into) or somewhere else on the island. If that's not a public health concern, what is it then?

A house cleaner that really does clean out your house.

It's not true high speed rail. It's a fast gas powered train that runs on conventional tracks that crosses intersections that sometimes plows into cars. This is nothing like Europe or Japan. California is building a true high speed rail line from L.A. to S.F., but won't be fully operational until sometime in the next decade.

@theotheleo6830 Customer: "What's with the tarps?" Salesperson: "Just some Teslas that caught fire last night. No need to be concerned. They're not for sale."
20
They shouldn't be allowed on any plane, train or bus again. I hope they enjoy walking to Atlanta and back.

It's totally illogical that a person buying their leased car has to have repairs done to it before they can buy it. It's the buyer's problem, if they want a car that doesn't run, not some unscrupulous auto dealer. Of course, this is Florida.

Governor DeSantis hasn't called because he's too busy arguing with Mickey Mouse. Unless there's a way to lift the entire state of Florida up about 20 feet, this will happen again and worse. Florida is flat, with the coastal areas just slightly above sea level. The only real solution that is guaranteed to work is to pack up and move.
11
Exactly what I thought.

Jail will do him good. He'll see a dietitian and they'll feed him three balanced meals. Maybe not that tasty but will be better than his current junk food diet and he'll lose some weight.

At Los Angeles/LAX rideshares are not allowed to pick-up in front of the terminals. A shuttle must be taken to a rideshare lot. Later this year, when the people mover is finished, that should replace the shuttle buses. While possible, it's less of problem there.

I've seen quite a few stories popping up in my YouTube feed like this. I haven't been to my safe deposit box in quite a while. I'm thinking of making a trip to the bank to make sure my stuff is still there. :/
7
Another day, another shooting in Florida.
6
Exactly. She probably didn't even know the approximate value of the watch, but the pawnshop sure did. They offered her $3K wondering what she would say, and she said yes.
6
Remind me not to eat at restaurants the next time I'm in Florida. As far as the chicken next to the dumpster, if they're throwing it out, there's no requirement to keep it in a refrigerator. That part of the report is incomplete, since you didn't determine whether it was being disposed of or not. If not, then it's disgusting.
6
I caught on to that too. It's like a traffic light will stop someone from driving their Lambo 100 mph on a city street.
6
He's innocent! ...This guy, not DJT.
5
Yes. Is it too much to ask when training new employees to tell them, "studies have shown that customers do not prefer their burgers and chicken be served frozen, directly out of the freezer." :/
5
He didn't "break the internet or Twitter." It's Twitter wasn't technologically prepared with its software or hardware, and DeSantis also wasn't prepared. It wasn't any sort of huge crowd watching it either, which doesn't say much for Twitter's platform.
5
You can always tell you're at a good restaurant if the roaches enjoy the food. At my local Denny's they charge extra for roaches. 😋
5
WPLG should apologize to her. Your report a couple weeks ago had her convicted, sentenced, along with slander. Bad reporting.
5
When a Metrolink or Caltrain train has a collision in California, the YouTube trolls start posting blaming Newsom and the like. Any of these same bozos going to blame DeSantis? Nope.
4
Where I live the restaurants charge extra for rats and roaches.
4
Call the police and have the guy arrested. I doubt the car even exists. Plenty of similar scams on Facebook Marketplace, but it's for lower priced cars that also don't exist.
4
A traffic light wouldn't have prevented that. That guy must have been driving the Lambo at 100 mph, thinking he owns the road. Stop sign, traffic light or anything else, wouldn't have mattered. Last year in Los Angeles, there was a spoiled brat rich kid who crashed a Lambo into another car, going equally as fast on a city street. He killed the other driver. The spoiled brat's parents ended up paying the family a large amount from their liability insurance policy. Crap like this will happen again.

If the pilots think they're being treated like crap, what about the passengers? We're in worse shape when flying. When flying coach, there's always plenty of legroom, but only if you're a hamster. We should strike too.
3
Dirty restaurant or not, it's not like anyone is being forced to eat there. Even though with all this bad publicity, people are still ordering pizza from this place. Are there people who want to get food poisoning? My first "real job" was at a Taco Bell in Southern California. You can argue the food isn't healthy, but we took inspections seriously. This guy complains the inspectors came unannounced. What? That's the way it's supposed to be. Does he really expect the health department to call him a couple days before, so he can sweep up the roaches before the inspector arrives?
3
What was she even thinking?
3
Agree. I used to work in a Los Angeles area Taco Bell. It's not fine dining, but I can't ever recall seeing a roach. This pizza shop owner must think he should charge extra for roaches.
3
This is nothing. In the coming decades, once sea levels rise more from global warming, every low lying area in Florida will be deemed unsafe. Head for the hills in another state.
2
If this happened in San Francisco, there would be a ton of comments blaming Pelosi or the Governor of California. This time it happened in Florida. Where are the comments blaming DeSantis?
2
Large roach and rat farming operations in Miami. This must be the latest growth industry. In my part of the U.S., they now charge extra for roaches.
2
Logic has it that if the fish are behaving strangely from something in the environment, if people eat the fish, they'll also start having issues. I wouldn't eat the fish.
2
This will do "wonders" to Florida's crippled property insurance industry.
2
Live roaches could be a positive sign. If the roaches were dead, it could have been because they died from the food. ;)
2
I'm guessing they're investigating. Do the investigation as quickly as possible, fill in the hole and make a park.
2
Miami isn't going to get a penny more from FTX. They're just one entity in a long, long, long line of creditors that are owed money, including FTX's crypto customers. They might as well paint over all the FTX logos at the arena, since FTX is toast. FTX also isn't going to move into their new, shiny, Miami high-rise headquarters, that the mayor proudly crowed about. With the ex-CEO of FTX literally on the run, that ain't happening either. Only in Florida.
2
Spirit Airlines offers you plenty of legroom, if you're a hamster.
2
@LebronCCP Yay!

When I go to Denny's I always dress up to the max. Nothing is too expensive to wear, if you're heading to Denny's.
2
@smilebehappy6102 I do disagree. This has nothing to do with someone being a monster in junior high, and the like. It has to do with people being monsters on an airplane, and doing things far from socially acceptable. I've personally missed a connecting flight from some passengers acting up, but what they did probably didn't measure up to being banned. That said, to watch people making political and medical statements on a plane, not wearing masks that are required by law, etc., I've had enough of. There are plenty of avenues to make their thoughts known, but doing it on an airline isn't the place and doesn't do anything other than inconvenience a plane full of passengers.

Was there no management company to process HOA dues, expenses, publish financial statements, and the like? You'll get results like this if you put the HOA in charge of everything.
2
Was there no management company to process HOA dues, pay vendors, create financial reports, and the like? If you put everything in the hands of the HOA board, this happens.
2
Obviously you're not supposed to do that. My first job was at a Taco Bell. In the 1 1/2 years I worked there customers have thrown their food at me several times. Nothing hot enough to cause injury. Once he's out of jail, his sentence should also include working at a McDonald's full-time for a year. It's not an easy job, with the pay near minimum wage.

You can't raise roads to get out of this mess. The next hurricane won't care. Besides, if you raise roads it doesn't do any good if you don't raise houses. In fact, it can cause more house flooding as the water that would have been spread on a road drains to a lower point, so the water in and around buildings will be even higher. Anyway, in the coming decades there will be nothing to worry about. Sea levels will be rising making Florida an ocean. Unless you can raise an entire state, the area is doomed.

At my local Burger King they charge extra for rats and roaches. :/

It's obvious that law is just to target Disney and nobody else. It will be thrown out of court in five minutes.
1
Who would buy one of these condos if you're instantaneously in debt for $300,000 that isn't even part of your purchase price? Maybe these units can be given away, where the mortgage will be a home equity loan to pay the assessment, but there's still that huge HOA monthly fee on top of it. Florida. Meatball doesn't care.

I thought black smoke means things are really burning bad. When did they change it to white smoke?
