  3. Years ago involved in the movie industry,extra,bit parts and voice overs. Was offered a job shooting a national magazine cover. The switch was surprisingly difficult. From being a persona to becoming a photographers' puppet. The most difficult was voice over. Manual tape and no computers,timing was incredibly tight. Exhausting concentration. Then if that shot ended up being deleted,all for nothing. I went back to engineering.

  6. Consumerism has led to the belief that everything is inexhaustible. All partners in this macabre dance believe they are entitled to engage and profit from it. Everyone wants all things and more of them. The government wants more taxes to fund public projects, the public wants more services. The women want houses and cars, they can't afford from men. Men want better paying jobs to afford womens wants. Young men around the world have understood that a mans' NEEDS can be put in a bucket. That a womans' WANTS are like taking the bucket to empty a lake.

She concentrated on starting and expanding a business in a European country. Was successful. Later she returned to her country of origin where I met her when she was 50. We married 3.5 years later. She died 3.5 years later. I've been celebate and single since. My lady friend is exactly that. A platonic friend.

  36. This is a difficult subject for a Western man to comment on. The dynamics of a Chinese family are different to most Americans or Europeans. Two of the women didn't seem to be outrageous in their wants and were willing to provide for their own needs. Not a recipe for a guarantee of success but kudos for being willing to try. There was an image of a masculine woman towards the end that was the subject of a previous documentary. She ended up being married to a German. In China,as in the rest of the world,men realize that a commitment comes from them,not women. Unfortunately for Chinese men Western women are a worse choice. My late wife was half Chinese and I wouldn't even date a Western woman. Guess my expectations are too high.
