But more importantly, if you're going to claim that your president's opponents don't know how the electoral college works, it would help to give the impression that your president does. I'm not saying this to brag or anything, but I graduated from college in May with a major in American Studies. I know how the electoral college works, and I am going to assume you do as well. Your president, meanwhile, wants to do away with the electoral college. It's admittedly not a stupid policy so much as a contextually hilarious one coming from him as he would have lost the 2016 election without the electoral college. If he is serious about abolishing the electoral college, he should expect that electors probably won't want to vote for him in 2020. But I digress. What exactly gives you the impression that Democrats don't know how the electoral college works?

  4.  @shanks760  Again, I bring up having a degree not to brag, but because "you're too dumb to understand how political strategy works" is exactly the kind of response I get here. How is Trump a genius for doing this? What is his strategy? What corner did he back the Democrats into? If they're the ones who insisted Trump reopen the government without funding for a border wall, and that's exactly what he did (even if it is temporarily), how can that be seen as anything other than him caving? How is delivering the State of the Union address a victory lap for him when he clearly didn't get what he shut down the government for five weeks to get? The shutdown cost $6 billion according to S&P, which is money that could've easily gone to that border wall if Trump thinks we need it that badly. How is he a genius for wasting money on something he didn't get?

And how self-centered are you that you expect people who aren't elected officials to "give a diddly crap"? Even if they were well paid, there are tens of thousands of "essential" employees who have had to work five weeks without pay. My dad has a friend who works in Homeland Security. If you want to be the one to tell him what you just told me, be my guest.

Trump versus the media is one thing, but Trump’s idea of negotiating with other politicians is to embarrass himself. As for Styx, I have a rule against giving credence to a guy who calls himself Styx666, looks like a member of the Village People every time he puts on a leather jacket, and still expects me to take him seriously. I’ve spoken directly to him on Twitter. I’m not convinced he’s as smart as you think he is.

Trump changed his party affiliation five times since first registering as a Republican in 1987. He became an independent in 1999, then a Democrat in 2001, then a Republican again in 2009, then an independent again in 2011, and then a Republican yet again in 2012. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by that time Obama pissed off Trump, though. The 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner? He wasn't a Democrat at the time. 3. While you accuse me of being a victim of propaganda, you make the mistake of assuming that you are immune to it. How can you be so sure that, for example, there isn't propaganda you don't realize is propaganda because you already agree with it?

  18.  @goldenmemes51  I'm pretty sure I didn't go into debt for that degree. I spent two years in community college and then transferred to a standard four-year college for the remaining two years, which ended up being cheaper.
