  1. He signed an executive order on day 5 in office to build a border wall. And yet instead of using the two years when his party controlled every branch of government to declare a national emergency over what he has stated numerous times to be an incredibly high priority for the sake of our security, he decided that now is the time to do it. Why?

  3. ALJustice0 Do the job they were paid do or elected to do? Yes, I know taxpayer money goes into their salaries, but I like to think they get elected first based on how many voters support their platforms before they get their taxpayer-funded salaries. Of course, that isn’t always the case because of gerrymandering and whatnot, but I digress. If this is about Trump telling Congress to do their jobs, is declaring a national emergency really the best idea he had to make that point?

  4. ALJustice0 I know, alright? The taxpayers do. But I ask again: is declaring a national emergency really the best way to do that? Obama declared a national emergency over a swine flu outbreak, while George W. Bush declared a national emergency after 9/11. Whatever your thoughts on those presidents, those are more valid reasons to declare national emergencies than this. Especially since voters strongly oppose declaring a national emergency over the border wall (or whatever reason you claim Trump has for doing this).
