It was about "proving" that there was a US-Ukraine conspiracy to prevent Trump from winning the election that US intelligence framed Russia for. You suck at this.

Even without that, Trump having to prove his innocence is literally what every defendant in legal history has gotten a lawyer to do. Any evidence of his innocence should not be withheld just because you say so.

You know how I know that? I'll tell you. Trump rolled back a rule from the Obama administration requiring the disclosure of civilian casualties from U.S. airstrikes outside war zones. On a totally unrelated sidenote, there's been a massive increase in civilian casualties from U.S. drone strikes under this administration. Try to excuse that and you've proven my point.

  27.  @logotrikes  I don't think so. I was previously told by another Styx subscriber to watch a documentary called "Everything is a Rich Man's Lie." He told me it was very well reviewed and no one who he recommended it to could refute any of its points. So I found it on YouTube and it's about how we're all being lied to. "Okay, that's not unusual for a documentary," I thought. The very first thing that happens in the documentary is a narrator going "We all know the JFK assassination didn't happen the way we were told." "Wait," I thought, "how can we already know the truth if we've all been lied to?" That was the first red flag. Then the narrator lists a bunch of details about the assassination in a way that suggested I was supposed to have already known about this, including the existence of multiple snipers and testimony from people they don't interview and who I'd never heard of before. I stopped the documentary, went back to the guy who recommended it, and said "I'm three minutes in and your narrator is already contradicting himself." You know what he did? He acted like I had taken the red pill. And not in a "now you know this conspiracy nonsense is stupid" kind of way. So when you tell me to watch this documentary, I have no reason to believe it will be any different from the one I described.

Ignoring Congressional subpoenas is illegal, and encouraging people to ignore them as Trump has is also obstruction. Subpoenas don't matter just because you arbitrarily decide they don't. If the Democrats had pursued the judiciary exactly the way you claim they should have, you would have found some reason to claim they still weren't doing it right. And while I can't say with certainty why they don't do exactly what you say they should, I would have to guess it's because Trump has consistently ignored court orders and no indication has been given that such behavior would change. The Democrats issued multiple subpoenas, and Trump has never cooperated with a single one of them. Why wouldn't Trump cooperate? The FBI's investigation into the Trump campaign was found to not have been politically motivated, but let's ignore that fact and assume any investigation into Trump is politically motivated, including this one. If Trump is even remotely competent at strategy, he would cooperate with the impeachment. Think about it. He openly bragged about the material he's withholding from Congress. Why withhold anything? He should give everything he has to Congress, and if he's truly innocent, they won't find anything criminal. The Constitution doesn't provide a definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors," so if they can't find anything that validly qualifies, he can claim he's innocent AND transparent and that the Democrats are paranoid liars. Boom! Re-election. I just gave Trump his best idea and I'm a Democrat. Try again.

And Trump is not capable of providing a valid reason for why or how withholding that information falls into either category.

  37. The Biden thing isn't the most explosive part of the Zelensky phone call . It's the Crowdstrike conspiracy theory and that Trump mentions it by name. This whole operation for Trump was never about Biden as the main goal.
