"African-Americans were referred to as 'Negroes' at the time, so why was Obama's race listed as 'African-American' when the term wasn't in use yet?" Because the term "African-American" isn't on the birth certificate. Obama's father's race is listed as "African," which at the time described people who were actually born in Africa like his father was. 2. "At the time of Obama’s birth in 1961, his father was 25, and it says he was born in 'Kenya, East Africa'. Kenya did not exist until 1963. Before then, it was the 'British East Africa Protectorate.' How could Obama’s father have been born in a country that did not yet exist?" It's true that Kenya did not achieve complete independence from the United Kingdom until 1963. But it was known as the "Kenya Colony" from 1920 onward and was typically referred to as Kenya long before 1963. Hundreds of news reports from 1961 can be found referring to it simply as "Kenya." 3. "The listed place of birth is the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital. This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called 'Kaui Keolani Children’s Hospital' and 'Kapi’olani Maternity Home', respectively. The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until the two hospitals merged in 1978. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978? " The former Kapi’olani Maternity Home was known as the Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital from 1931 to 1971, at which point its name was shortened to Kapi’olani Hospital. Obama wasn't born in the Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital; it was a separate entity which merged with the Kapi’olani Hospital in 1978 to become the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children. If you look, you can find a listing of social services available in Hawaiian documents showing that the facility bore that name prior to 1961. Moreover, a copy of a birth certificate issued to a child born in Honolulu one day after Obama also shows “Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital” listed in the “Name of Hospital” field. 4. "Opening the file in Adobe Illustrator reveals multiple layers." That's from common, off-the-shelf scanning software, not forgery.

But calling Obama a Marxist without any credible sources to back up such a claim gives me no reason to take anything else you say seriously when I can just point to him advocating for bailing out certain large corporations instead of nationalizing them and say "Better luck next time." 3. I have no idea what you're referring to with Iran, but I'll call for him to be held accountable for that if you promise to demand Trump should be investigated for siding with the Saudis after they killed a journalist.

And considering there are still at least a dozen investigations into Trump, I find it questionable to claim that Trump is guilty of nothing. 2. Are you paying any attention to what I'm saying? I've never said no Democrat ever did anything "shady, unethical, or outright criminal." Heck, my city's Democratic mayor is in the middle of a quid pro quo scandal. I'm saying that nothing Democrats did will excuse anything Trump does.

Even if Hillary was the deciding vote in the uranium deal (she wasn't) and even if State Department officials directed contracts for the Haitian earthquake recovery effort to friends of the Clintons (they didn't), I wouldn't be delusional enough to try deflecting blame away from Hillary. Are you really telling me the questionable stuff Hillary has actually done isn't enough, so you have to make stuff up? That makes you no better than the "impeach Trump" crowd. I will, however, point out that the report documents several instances in which Trump directed people to lie as well as ten instances of Trump meeting at least one of three criteria for obstruction of justice. But none of those will count to you, will they?

@Joonixx (groan) You know, this is the second time today that I had to explain someone here what the issue is with Trump not releasing his tax returns. It's a lose-lose situation with you, isn't it? Nothing I say sticks and when I repeat myself in the hopes that something will, I get called an NPC. But here we go again. I'm calling bullshit on Trump because of his two main excuses for not releasing them. One, he's not releasing them because he's under audit. There is literally no law preventing anyone from releasing their tax returns while under audit. Even Richard Nixon released his tax returns under audit, so don't tell me Trump is innocent when he lost the moral high ground to Richard Fucking Nixon. But more importantly, he's not releasing them because he's not legally required to. I already acknowledge that there is no law mandating that citizens release their financial records or taxes. If Trump didn't want to release them because he felt he didn't have to, that would be fine. It would only be a problem if he wasn't a total fucking hypocrite about it. I made the comparison to Obama because A) Trump expected him to release his college papers while he was making his personal fixer threaten his own schools not to release his grades, and B) Trump had mocked Obama on Twitter multiple times for hiding records. Here's one from July 17, 2012: "Why would @BarackObama be spending millions of dollars to hide his records if there was nothing to hide?" Here's another one from that same day: "For the sake of transparency, @BarackObama should release all his college applications and transcripts--both from Occidental and Columbia." Here's one from October 30 of that year: "Why does Obama believe he shouldn't comply with record releases that his predecessors did of their own volition? Hiding something?" Trump should just come right out and say "I'm never releasing my tax returns because I just don't want to." At least that would be more honest than saying he's under audit (which doesn't prevent anyone from releasing their tax returns) or insisting he's not legally required to (which wouldn't be a problem if he wasn't a fucking hypocrite).

Randy Smith The deal had to be approved by multiple U.S. agencies first, including the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States. The Secretary of State does sit on that committee, but SHE WAS NOT THE DECIDING VOTE. The Committee on Foreign Investments panel also includes the attorney general, the secretaries of the Treasury, Defense, Commerce, Energy and Homeland Security, as well as the heads of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Office of Science and Technology Policy. The deal wasn't hers alone to veto or approve.

@theakh4238 If the vote has to be unanimous, then literally everyone on that committee is the deciding vote. It's not like there's a rule saying the Secretary of State specifically has to vote "yes" for a deal to be approved.

As long as no one gives a shit, I don't need to think about whether I should release my tax returns or not. But when you're the president, more than a few people will probably give a shit. That's the difference. But to answer your question, I'm not in any shady deals. Not that you'll believe me. I could actually show you my tax returns and I already know you'd look for some way to spin it to make me look bad.

If Hillary not saying no to the uranium deal that she had no part in anyway counts as treason, then how about Trump consistently trusting Vladimir Putin’s assessments of interference in the 2016 election and North Korean capabilities over that of his own intelligence agencies? He has shown to trust the words of the leader of a hostile foreign government over the words of those who work in the government he himself is supposed to lead? Could that be considered treason, or am I to believe you're some unparalleled legal expert who for some reason chooses to be annoying rather than credible?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 2011 and 2016, there were over 2 million jobs created per year with over 3 million in 2014 alone. Including January 2017, there had been 6 years and 4 months of positive employment growth. Starting in November 2009, the unemployment rate fell every year and was 4.8% in January 2017 when he left office compared to 10% in October 2009. Trump best GDP growth hasn’t surpassed Obama’s ; Trump’s highest year over year growth rate of 3.0% in the September 2018 quarter is still lower than Obama’s high point of 3.8% in the March 2015 quarter. Finally, the S&P 500 doubled under Obama . Please remind me how liberals are the ones who don't like facts when I found all of this after less than one minute of research. 3. I don't even want to know what you're talking about with that Child Protective Services claim.

When I first read that headline, I knew - I just knew - that the defense was going to be "Well, he's not legally obligated to release his financial record." Obama wasn't legally obligated to release his college papers either, but that clearly didn't stop Trump.
