Portions of the White House video were sped up to make Jim Acosta look like he was hitting the intern and slowed down to match the run time of the video as shared by the Associated Press.

The White House shared a doctored video of Jim Acosta hitting a White House intern. Project Veritas shares doctored videos all the damn time. Trump shared a video that took a quote by Ilhan Omar out of context. And it's the fault of the liberals for pointing all of that out?

Secondly, the point I am trying to make isn't that firing Jim Acosta is worse than 9/11 or whatever. No, what I am trying to communicate is this: why does the president have to resort to editing videos to slander critics? Hearing him tell it, you'd think he has plenty of valid complaints. So why can't he just use those instead? This is just petty.

  33.  @K05H  Maybe I should back up a bit. Not everyone in America voted for Obama, clearly. My suspicion was that with political correctness being a prominent trend over the past decade or so, there were some people who weren't necessarily racist but subconsciously held prejudiced beliefs that they felt voting for a black president would cancel out. The - shall we say - less apologetic people were never going to vote for someone they considered to be a second class citizen no matter his qualifications.

But more to the point: "Here's the truth: far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen. And frankly I'm tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it. CAIR [Council on American-Islamic Relations] was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that SOME people did something and then ALL of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties." The context was "It's upsetting that all Muslims have to be punished for the actions of a few."

But even if her spokesperson didn't say "it was a misstatement, and she now knows that it was founded earlier," if getting a timeline wrong is enough to be discredited, that standard should apply equally to both her and the guy who said the New York Stock Exchange opened the day after 9/11 when it was closed until the 17th. 3. That's arguably true of religions in general, but point taken.
