The point is having the courage of one's convictions and the patient resolve of the Palestinians. The point is about DOING THE RIGHT THING. That's all. It's the most anyone can do. I sympathize with her, but wish she'd had more courage. It's too easy to say either of us could've handled it better, not personally experiencing what she, an academic administrator, was going through. She's not an activist.

Been imprisoned, etc (Literally was in the trenches in a foreign country at one point.) Things are more nuanced than your limited experience allows you to see. Gay did her PERSONAL best to stand up for freedom of expression. That's all one can ask either of ones self or another.
