  10. Many so-called "primitive" societies didn't support sociopathic behaviors. They, in fact, ostracized those who practiced "dog-eat-dog" tactics to "get ahead." Unfettered capitalism rewards sociopaths and impoverishes ordinary people-- and democratic institutions. So the answer is in systemic change. Unless a government curbs excessive wealth and power sociopaths will always take over. The answer, then, is to revamp the system (or overthrow it entirely) and institute one that benefits ordinary citizens. That's why different forms of socialism are preferential. Read up on sociopathology and it'll help you see why lunatics are running Western governments now. (They're a very scary bunch.... and leading us to a nuclear war because they're completely blinded by their hubris. And they have neither conscience nor foresight.) Your question is an excellent, and fundamental, one.
