  11.  @jakelaughton683  Because the Republicans threatened to Filibuster the Bill endlessly and there was no time Corona needed to be dealed with and people needed the help. Besides that there were voices on the right side of the democrats who thought the number was a little height and there was the risk the 50 votes would not be there which would be a major disaster so compromises needed to be made to ensure the Bill passes and people, schools, foodbanks and small bussiness get the funding they needed, it was, well still is an emergency.

  20.  @shdmd2118  I'm not really sure what you talking about here. Imagine you make an election. Than it's 10pm and the election offices close. They collect all ballots drive to the central ballot counting office and drop the ballots there in the middle of the night because people want to know the outcome as soon as possible so they count through day and night in shifts. I mean look at these amateurs in Arizona. After 2 months they counted only 20% of the ballot in just on county. If they should get the job of counting the real election we would wait a hole year for the result.

Another point: You can only get a mailin ballot if you are registered and you can only be registered if you show ID and prove you are citizens and a valid voter. Your whole conspiracy theory is full of holes all designed to somehow allow you to believe Trump did not lose ... but he did. Learn to live with it.

And you guys are not really trustworthy since Reagan. Usually the register is cleanup up with the purges happening before elections. But let's assume you are right: Do you realize that everyone using the ballot from his dad is risking 10 years prison time for election fraud? Elections are cross-audited after the election meaning a percentage of ballots is routinly taken and validated ... to find these cases of voter-fraud. I agree however on the registry. It should be cross-checked with the "alive citizens" list if not already done. Of course only voters who were alive at the time of the mailin vote are valid voters. I don't know in what state you live in but if the vote registry is not kept actual it's a serious flaw. You not by chance have Republican State officials?

  24.  @shdmd2118  For your information. I live in a country with mandatory National-ID, Automatic Voter Registration and you can ask for a Mail-In Ballot unconditionally but you must do it for each election seperatly. And when you die you are removed from all lists.

  27. Debating is one thing. Passing something entirely different. My guess is Manchin, other Corporate Democrats even Biden himself is not counting that this leads to anything. The "For-The-People" act contains sections which would lay open party financing and transparency on party donations as well as personal donations. The Corporate Democrats and the Republicans don't want you to know who their masters (aka their donors) are.

The Progressive Democrats, The Trumpists and the largest the Corporate Party sitting on the Democrats and on the Republicans to ensure no matter what people vote they are in control. This is how Corporate America thinks and wins: They don't play games, they don't leave anything to chance they have their party members on both sides to ensure they stay in control and protect the status quo. And that is what Biden, Manchin, Sinema, the other Senators who take Corporate PAC money and donations want: To maintain the current system which is perfectly for their needs. Corporations pay them and in return they introduce laws and tax cuts which help them cutting costs in return and maximizing profits on the tax payer and to the disadvantage of the people who get only empty promises.

  41. Gaetz is playing the victim here on a crime which has nothing to do with the actually crime. The fact that the extortion had such a high value is almost an indicator that there is something to this story. And he is trying to make the legal case void upfront. The FBI cannot release evidence by law while the investigation is running. His lawyer might be able to make a case later on procedure to release him from any charges if they would do it. It's almost obstruction of justice ... add this to his list. And last but not least the fact that he wanted a pardon from Trump is an indicator that something in there. Only guilty people need pardons.

END THE FILIBUSTER! The Senate is supposed to review new laws not there to block them indefinitly. The House is the actual parliament of the United States who makes and passes laws because THIS chamber look like society voted. The Senate is a relic from the United Kingdom, the House of Lords.
