The ruling class adopted the topic to ensure their power and wealth and it gets them elected every single time ... until people realize that have been fooled. Your wage and income is set by your boss and the government and the monthly available money is highly influenced by the hight of your rent again controlled by the owner and the government influencing the housing market ... not by the poor soul earning the same miserable wage you do and sometimes even less. The latest threat to the ruling class was the EU. They were so close at disclosing their wealth to the public with both policies ATAD I & II so that the benefits of wealth outweighted the risks of getting their wealth disclosed and reduced ... so Brexit was financed by them ... and even succeeded.

And itself was argueable never a real democracy not with First-Pass-The-Post and an unelected chamber around, lack of transparency on all levels of government and a lack of scrutiny and responsibility.

  17. The MP was sacked for breaking media rules for Front-Benchers not for joining a picket line. Starmer tries to win an election to finally give Labour Power but this Front-Bencher risk everything by talking with the media without coordination. Elections have been lost for less and the Tories just waiting for such a mistake to exploit it. I even wonder if this MP done this on purpose to somehow rescue his position because the very same MP faces charges and a recall petition in his own constituancy.

  18. Terrible idea. The Vote on the Left is already split between Lib-Dems, Labour, Greens and SNP while the Right has just the Tories. It kept them in power over the last 2 decades because Labour was so stupid not to introduce PR. I'm all for more parties but without PR you just make sure whatever sides splits more is losing. PR can change that so you have multiple parties without disadvantages.

Starmer wants to make Labour the Party for ALL working people - unionized and non-unionized and I hate to break it to you but most jobs are non-unionized and they are envious and angry that noone fights for them and also have to live with the fallout of the strikes. So Starmer is doing the right thing here to make sure Labour will have a chance.

  22. Starmer did not rule out PR. He just lowered the temperture until the time is right. If you want to announce such a thing you can only do it weeks before the election because otherwise you give Oligarch media in the UK the opportunity to talk it down for 2 years.

Yes! 90% of British Media is Pro-Tory and controlled by very wealthy individuals why do you think Starmer is extremly careful and even firing Front-Benchers when they create an opening for them to destroy Labour's chances again. Corbyn lost 2 elections for Labour no matter if justly or unjustly and the role of a party leader is leading the party into power. And Corbyn helped paving the way for Brexit by not oppossing it clearly sometimes he even gave the impression of supporting it.

  24. And the sad thing is the EU was actually the polar opposit of this and tried to fight it in the UK from the outside with their programs ATAD I & II. The year ATAT I was introduced the Brexit referendum happened and this year ATAT II which affect private persons and their income had come into effect and if you revisit last year ... who wanted 3 times out of the EU no matter the costs?

  34. Well maybe here is a little advantage to Brexit (and we looked so long for one). Brexit stopped / reduced the market for the producers of smoked salmon. Funny side remark: Isn't there a staunch Brexit supporter making/selling Smoked Salmon now complaining about Red-Tape ruining his bussiness. Must be co-incidental (or not?).

The same which was needed last year and the years before. It's just with the end of the transition phase the UK actually really left the Single Market and this is the result. Happy Brexit. Unfortunatly the UK government was against the level playing field and alignment, against being in the Customs Union or Single Market and this lead to the trade deal the UK now have. A minimum Trade Deal but tariff free at least. Which is just one notch better than No-Deal. But in any case, the UK took the deal willingly. To be precise the EU hasn't even ratified it yet. Face it. The UK wanted to go it's own way as a 3rd country to the EU and now it is. Are you telling me what you wanted for 6 years, leave the EU and stand on your own feet, make your own trade deals without EU involvement is not good enough for you? Careful what you wish for.   43. To be fair Labour is managing this very clumsily. The make a little Twitter and once a week a video or so. There are left leaning british Youtube channels out there like "A different Bias", "Maximillian Robbespiere" and mongst others who provide 2 videos a day and they all say: Labour has so many resources why don't they do this. They need to embrace Social Media to speak directly to new voters and avoid the Murdoch Media.

  47. This is very source and heart of all problems in the United Kingdom. It connects to everything. To the class system, inequality on all levels, income inquality, corruption, greed, tax-avoidance, unfair taxing. This is just all one larger cancer and the UK is feeding it since the 80'ties. And it had never anything to do with the EU. The EU was however a perfect scapegoat to hide all of this and to have something to point the finger at. Quite the contrary even, the EU tried to fight this cancer with the introduction of ATAD-I and especially ATAD-II which would have laid bare the connections, the hidden money, the hidden accounts and transactions. And do you want to know when ATAD-I was made? In 2016, the year of the leave referendum! And do you know when ATAD-II was introduced, which would have been even worse for them? Well in 2020! Remember me, what happened in 2020? Yeah rigth. Any questions left?
