I really hope the Greenlandians are a little smarter than other countries regarding their land and resources. Please take Norway as a role model in how to do it right. Don't sell land or minerals rights lease them. And tax all profits made with resources by 73% to pay it into a national develoment fund to pay for an universal income, subsidies, healthcare, education to build state owned homes and regional development. Consider maybe even join NATO and/or the EU to not be swallowed by big fishes out there America, Russia, China. If they do it right they can become a kind of Wakanda of the Artic.
2
Or in other words "People prefer a comfortable lie over a hard truth"
2
You really think Trumps bad stuff is not affecting you?
2
What happens when the liars convinced you everyone else is lying?
2
The only thing which makes Biden appear somewhat acceptable is when he has a teleprompter (= someone tells him what to say) but when Biden has to speak freely like in debates or q&a segments you notice the issue.
2
David clearly had respect for his guest, but in my opinion he gave him too much credit and could have been a little more like himself.
2
"How did that happen?" famous last words. See 2016.
2
Of course it is. Fox is know to instantly ending recording or even in live-streams when people do not say what they supposed to say. Wasn't it David himself who mentioned that this week?

Video-Clip: Just 3 words from him and he already showed his ignorance. China is not Communist, maybe by name, but they couldn't be further away from it. They are a capitalistic oligarchy if not even dictatorship. It's unhinged capitalism even more than in the US. I think it deserves a new term: State-Racket. Using a hole country like a mafia clan. And if the Republicans have it their way the US will adopt the China-model. One Party-system, no elections, no (fair independent) courts, total population control, total internet control, total political opinion oppression, all media controlled by the party, all companies controlled by the party. It's a nightmare even surpassing Orwell.
2
After all it also makes voting harder for conservative voters who don't want to be bothered with extra hurdles. Voting is already a nuisance for most any obstacles for it only make them vote even less.
2
Tell me a country besides the US who legalized gun ownership in the way the US has? And no ... other countries have democracies as well. And "Red Shirts" retaking a newly made democracy are nowhere to be seen in the last 200 years ... and even if ... the military will deal with it. A normal citizen has no chances against drones and military-grade weapons nowadays anyways. They are only good for shooting other citizens. And 4 out of 5 gun owners only have guns because others have guns too. Guns are now an end in itself.
2
Heroes? Yes Jan-06-like-heros ready for a orange jumpsuit for betraying the values which are the very foundation of this country.
2
Wrong. We criticise everyone even Biden if he makes anything wrong. That's the difference to you, you see any dissent any disagreement about Trump or his policy as an attack. You pretend he never makes mistakes and excuse everything no matter how bad it is. That's why Trump actually said at one point he could shoot people on 5th avenue and the people would still love him and vote him. Blind following, worship even this was. Only dictators get such a devotion and you have been fooled and conned by him. If Biden makes bad things, he is toast. That's something you are completly unable to do with Trump.
2
To be fair there are a lot of broken promisses in Biden 1st term. He not even managed half of what he said he would. Still if Biden is the nominee there isn't much of choice is there. I know it sucks and feels like blackmail by the DNC. Become politician ... change the system.
2
@patriarch3056 Trumps government wants to abandon and defund the department of education because they see education as a threat and because it makes lying harder to get away with. You really think this will help kids?
2
Just because you have a public health care system does not mean democracy and capitalism is thrown away. They just take the "social" out of socialism and add it to democracy. Therefore policies like this might be called social-democratic. And there are lots of countries having this and being far from socialistic. UK for example has a state national healthcare 100% payed by tax. Countries across Europe have for more than 50 years public healthcare systems ... without changing the political or economical system. There is nothing to fear here but so much to gain for normal people. The most important: You are free of the fear of going bankcrypt when you or someone from your family has an accident or getting ill.
2
Reminds me of the movie "Captain America 2" with Alexander Pierce. He denied the Peace Nobel Prize and than wanted to unleash a fascist group on the US.
2
@jajmagoo1548 He doesn't like what he sees in the mirror David is holding up. David hasn't said it out loudly but this is: "We told you so!"
2
Nah, that's just European influx here raising the level. And the guest was so long talking and boring - even for Europeans - no wonder most of Davids subscribers fled the comments.
2
Turning the law against the innocent is part of fascism 101.
2
Inverse Midas. Everything he touches turns to shit.
2
China is pretty bad. But it's a cultural thing noone else on this planet is so openly talking about it. And they can't see it as a problem it's normal for them due to the isolation from the west that's why they are so open about it. If you have that all your life around you and the media is showing nothing else it becomes normal for you.
2
But only for luxuries. And you don't wait endless.
2
Has her studies on rallys included a candidate who is primarily fighting his own inadequacies and which are used against him by the other side. I really dislike arrogant scientists who assume they factored in every variable and stumble over such a simple overservation as this.
2
You think undocumented people get money from the government? Mate it is in the name "undocumented" they don't go to authorities to ask for something. They work for a living.
2
And I would ramp up the Drug testing. You can be sure China will try every trick in the box to get as many gold medals as they can.
2
The persons who cry "foul" the loudest are usually also the ones benefitting from it the least. Either because they don't have to work or have a save job they like or are so dissatisfied with their jobs that they wish they could stay on benefits. And I agree every system has the drawback of people trying to cheat on it but some hundred cases cannot be the reason to drop it for 20 mio people.
2
Plus a strong tendency to believe/hope and a lack of stochastical math.
2
Only people who cheated on taxes have to fear the IRS. Everyone now complaining about the IRS should be audited first.
2
Telling a Trump supporter to drop Trump is the same as asking a christian believer to drop god at this point. This is what devotion (blind love) does to you.
2
23 children per class instead of 45 might help too.
2
Trump calls everyone criticizing him having TDS. The motive is clear if you cannot argue devalue the person.
2
Never trust people with simply arguments for complex problems.
2
This sounds not okay. Finding a legal settlement for money - tax-payers money - so an officer can get away scott-free. I mean imagine the irony. The parents of the victims pay with their own taxes for releasing an officer from consequences from their sons death.
2
Prices are not controlled by government. If you want that you need planning economy (like it was under communism). The solution is not to try to lower the prices which will never happen (inflation = how much prices rise, they never drop) the solution is low and mid range wage people need to get a larger percentage of the revenue they make.
2
I actually agree on that. Democrats have a lot to learn about messaging. Republicans are far ahead on this ... it's what kept them far longer in power than to be expected.
2
Trump did start a war ... with the American People by ignoring Covid and letting it run free. Total loss: 400,000 souls just on his watch. Avoidable deaths with better policy. And more casualties than all wars before that together.
2
Dairy itself is not the problem. The draining process from the utters is and how the cow lives. This is not like they imagine almost clean cows on green fields. This is cow standing in batteries between their own shit and they are not cleaned properly before they are milked by a machine or so fast that "particles" come into the milk container of all cows.
2
Trust is the basis of society. We only living together based on trust. It is an intrinsic part of complex societies. When you trust nothing anymore and believe nothing anymore how can you ever build anything more complex than what instinct and feelings allow?
2
It's a hostile takeover. Everything the framers were afraid of and warned about.
2
Make sense: Dead cannot pay
2
I don't know David but my subtel warning bells going on with your guest. A brit advocating for oligarch sanctions are popular but bad? Someone saying "American politics is good", someone saying some form of autocratic leaderships are good or "we need the minority to have more to say" ... leave a lot of ambivalence open so I am careful with this guy his british exceptionalism shines a little bit too strongly through.
2
He literally says in the video he will vote blue no matter what. But he or you are not the problem the 250 mio other voters are.
2
FYI: Yes it's "Sir" Kier Starmer. He got his "Sir" as honor for his work in public prosecution. It is not an awarded or "buyed" title via the House of Lords. And he is not bragging about it or using it often himself.
2
@stefanlempen4346 I'm not a friend of enclaves of foreigners, they tend to isolation and reduce integration in the country they choose to live in. I can understand why (language, culture, religion) but the only thing they create is little islands of where there coming from and this is not good. Integration in the country you live in is important to reduce tensions between the people. The people there need to start knowing each other, communicate with each other, learn from another otherwise it creates only tensions on both sides.
2
Don't let the door hit you in the back! And take your comment with you! No littering here.
2
Well Trump admired Vladimir even. I guess he reminded him of his uncle who made him the amoral person he now is. A father-substitute.
2
Ironic. Thanks for sharing this little nugget.
2
Trumps crime were real. They all had grand-juries who found the evidence convincing enough to indict a former US president. Sadly we never got the trial for them because Trump managed to escape by becoming president.
2
Greenland is political part of Danemark, which is member of the EU. Greenland itself is not in the tariff zone of the EU ... yet ... but political associated with the EU via Danemark. Trump is playing with fire here. Danemark is financially supporting Greenland with 500 mio € every year. Some money comes back by sharing gains from mining resources. It's clear what Trump wants, exchange an exploited Island for a new one promising riches for the next 100-1000 years. Well there is this little issue the 3000 m ice shield on it which needs between 2000 and 50.000 years to melt depending how bad climate change continues. And have I mentioned this would increase the world sea level by meters? The way Trump handles things he would probably artificially warm it up to get to it and drown New York in the process.
