We can’t protect LTC homes, but trust us when we tell you we can reset and restructure the economy and bring about utopia.
12
We have a responsibility for our own before all else. Canada isn’t a spillover reservoir for the world’s problems. If you think more should be done empty out your accounts and clear some room in your house for the cause, otherwise you’re just volunteering the resources of others.
12
@b9y843 Journalists call elections now?
12
@TheAircool1 Fewer mouths to feed typically doesn’t lead to starvation though
11
You can’t even take one day to not guilt Canadians?
11
Lots of sick ppl all over. Why is she special?
11
@atoril1 “Being Germany first” Putting your own country first is an extremist position now?
11
@yazsam4259 Ukrainian Canadians? Russian Canadians? What are those? I only recognize Canadian Canadians.
11
@stratford374 The elections weren’t a referendum on the carbon tax, which is what the OP is asking for, big fella. The party imposing this didn’t receive a majority, nor the popular vote, so the election makes for a poor proxy for a vote on the carbon tax specifically, especially now that ppl are feeling its impacts directly, and perhaps noticing that their luxury beliefs aren’t as affordable as they once were.
11
The rest combined would receive less resources and effort.
11
Yes yes, we know, everything you don’t like is right wing.
11
One would think an engineer would have a good chance at getting in through regular channels, but instead he tries to do things unconventionally and applies for asylum while pretending to be a tourist. His first act was one of needless insincerity, yet we’ll probably let him stay…
11
@RonRaphaelBraunsteinisgay Buy me a new up to date vehicle and I’ll be happy to make the switch, otherwise gfy
11
Or we could, you know, not import demand so much faster than we can expand supply, especially given that such policies both suppress wages and drive up housing costs. Probably easier to just not pursue bad policies, rather than implement bad policies and then cross one’s fingers hoping for radical market solutions to surface in response. Induced innovation is something, but it isn’t a good thing when your government creates the conditions leading to it…
11
Why this one? Cuz she is an activist? What about all of the other sick ppl everywhere else who want access to Canadian healthcare?
11
Why don’t you explain why it’s up to a Canadian news outlet to explain the double standards in the US Justice system? They probably think it’s just as dumb as you do.
11
Yea. The prospects of state legitimacy and transparency are so awful. And how will I live without poison in my food? The horror.
11
Why is it we only seem to care about the struggles of public sector workers?
11
Canadians are less secure. More crime, both violent and otherwise. Why shouldn’t the ppl who created the situation feel the heat as well?
11
What damages?
11
2 feds were shot. One died.
11
Lol
11
I guess parents should be doing more to raise their own kids
11
I’d assume many do, but Trudeau’s feelings were hurt in India, so he suddenly found a spine
11
Lol the day after the mayor condemned the actions of federal officers for protecting the court building. Just watch, he will now try to blame this on Trump, claiming that it would not have happened if not instigated by said federal officers.
11
What do you mean ‘you people’?
10
@TheAircool1 When I can’t get a job I have to develop better skills and qualifications. Nobody is importing me a high paying job. Why should we import low wage slave labour for inefficient and uncompetitive businesses? You’re right. Ppl don’t want to do hard work for garbage money, just as employers don’t want to pay a high wage for garbage work. We have to fight for jobs. Employers can fight for labour.
10
@GM-ri4ww He’ll go away enriched and better off. It isn’t a victory.
10
rugged english So, you’re a cop. A guy steals your taser. He then shoots at you with the taser. You have a gun on your hip. He already stole your taser. Put 2 and 2 together here. You are in imminent danger.
10
Current generations can’t get homes. Keep up.
10
@Citibank639 Sure, but we have no obligation to get involved.
10
@yazsam4259 Yet…
10
Yes yes, we know. Trump is going to ruin everything any minute now. We were wrong about it the other million times, but this time...
10
Just say no.
10
Corwyn Warwaruk Call anybody who disagrees with me a racist super fascist.
10
You can’t have fun w/o sexualizing everything?
10
Yuzhou Qu Yes. Land was sold at a high price. Inflation continues alongside wage stagnation. Who made money? Those washing money in our real estate markets, those lucky enough to already hold real estate assets, and some runoff dripped upon the heads of developers. Big win.
10
@Groggybandito As a Liberal, perhaps you can explain to me what is so inherently offensive about this float?
10
@OdinWannaBe “Because Canadian history is French and English” And Canadian present is Mandarin, Punjabi, Farsi, French, and English (among others, probably). Welcome to ‘progressive’ Canada, where your history and culture mean little to nothing.
10
I spent a lot of time around the homeless. It has a lot more to do w drugs than it does freedom.
10
A Question for anybody who is healthy and of fighting age who also happens to support our intervention in the conflict. Why aren’t you over there fighting? If it’s so crucial and necessary, why aren’t you willing to fight for it? Are they not taking foreign fighters anymore?
10
@patbrennan6572 Orange man bad. We get it.
10
How about we both work together on our shared border?
10
Until a kid get mauled in the driveway
10
@bradcanning875 Obviously it is just another way of saying ‘out of touch’.
10
So, what you're saying is that the 12 years of public daycare already provided aren't enough, and that you weren't even prepared to raise your own kid properly through the first few years. Why don't people take the decision to have and raise children seriously?
10
Aaryn Kovac Completely missed the point
10
Long live the hologram!
10
To everybody calling the protester a coward, remember who has the police feet away protecting him. Note that they don’t mind Singh getting in the guy’s face, squaring up, and trying to instigate violence, but they step right in and block the other guy recording when Singh goes to leave. Both cowards, near as I can tell, but we only know that one is a coward and corrupt.

@bobcrane9945 You’re right. It is too low for ppl here, so employers should raise wages to compete for labour, just as we must compete for jobs. How are Canadians any more entitled than employers who think they should be able to bypass Canadian labour so that they can realize returns above and beyond shat their business is actually worth in its market? Canadians subsidize this w high remittances, high housing costs, demand driven general price increases, and a lower trust society. The benefits don’t accrue to wage earning Canadians.
