  1. You stood your ground against those grumpy old men who sort of helped you to guide Alice Grace across the Canal. I hope I'm not like that when I'm their age. I suppose they meant well. Then you have the other grumpy old disgruntled mechanic who are same the world over .Deep hiss from the mouth oooh it's a bloody mess. You still made a great vlog with the little cafe and the old bridges and the transport museum. Just remember Zephyr will want to re visit that sausage and cream cafe now. Give the old Mechanic a cuppa tea Vanessa , I'm sure you already have. XXX.

  2. I've heard of Hebden Bridge as a boy and an adult but never went there. Wow as some of your subscribers state it literally speaks Yorkshire. So you are a Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe fan Vanessa . I always thought of that book as being for boys. A beach in the sky , never seen the like before you filmed it and wouldn't believed it if I hadn't . Lovely Video Vanessa. Did Zephyr keep the Sock?

  3. Did you have any prior warning about the flood from the weather stations as you'd probably been through enough with those short locks you maneuvered. The only time I've encountered Wild Birds feeding from my hand is St James park near Buckingham Palace off the Mall. People would go eat outside in the park in Summer and if you had a bag of seed the Birds would land on your head arms and hands up to 12 at a time. I used to go there when i was younger and loved to feed those Birds. It wasn't just Pigeons thank Heavens. Another year Vanessa and who knows what is yet to come. What a wonderful episode.

  7. Bunbury is in the list of places I'd like to live that you've shown in your vlogs Vanessa. I guess you live anywhere for a short time that you choose and that must be a wonderful feeling. As long as there is a Pet Shop locally for when Zephr decides to throw her ball in the canal. I've not had a scone since I left England.   8. Some of your oversea viewers may not know of Cadbury's. Nobody else in the World make's Chocolate like Cadbury and it's a shame people miss out on it. Sound like Mr Cadbury was a nice chap to his workstaff. Nice History Vanessa. Nicer Video.

  10. I found the people that upset you Vanessa and there is going to be a punch up. I wont stay on the floor too long , they will get bored waiting for someone to hit. My dad used to say to me as a kid , We pay no heed to such trash Son. You forgot about them and soon cheered up like I knew you would. The drawing of the Hare was wonderful as is all your artwork . I knew a girl who called Rabbits and Hare's Shushi's . That was another lovely Village you took Zephyr to eat and I love the history of these places you look up to tell us about. Maybe don't travel at night anymore Vanessa, that way you'll avoid Moaners. Stay happy young Lady.

  11. I've never seen actual fields of Buttercups but I did make Buttercup necklaces for Girls as a Kid. I got more Girlfriends that way. Seems wherever you travel it is full of pretty places to see. I think part of that is the freedom you have just by living on Narrow Boat Alice. I miss Market places and little stores and I think England has more than anywhere else. Every time you smile Vanessa you make me smile and that is every time I watch your Video's. Is your favorite group the Beatles or Beetles Vanessa , it has to be one of the two. Before your time I know. Your video's are the best thing to make me happy.

  12. Those shallow canal area's looked like they were more trouble than the Locks Vanessa. Maybe the canals need to be raked or dragged in some way to get rid of junk on the canal bed. You did very well with and without help from the British public who actually are the most helpful people in the World. I was happy to see you maneuver those Locks before it got dark as I knew you would . You always make it through. This was another adventure that you shared with us.

  13. Everything is blooming on the riverbanks and in the little Garden you visit. I see Zephyr has you completely under her Thumb , even though Dogs thumbs are very small.   14. As we get older we all lose people we Love and no one escapes that feeling of hopelessness when it happens. We believe that we could have done more with the time we are given and for whatever reason blame ourselves for it. Life is long and short in the same instance. it's good to look back and sad to think about how much time has passed us by. We learn and mourn from how time passes us by. Life is going to hurt us. We all Love you Vanessa and we all see the emotion in you. The sunrise and the little seed were little pieces of love to lift your heart.

  16. That Heron Gull was Jive walking Vanessa , I heard the song when he was waking or trying to wake the worms . I've been to Chester Zoo a long time ago and it was nice even then. What was that Parade about. I'd guess it was about the people there loving were they live. I hope that knowing all these people turn up to watch your Vlog makes you happy Vanessa , seems only fair as you make us happy when we watch. Your hair is looking beautiful and long and I loved the Hippy Top you wore when you drew in your Diary.

  18. I believe some traffic Wardens are missing their coats in that village. I wonder how many places in England are called Sutton as I've heard it often. I looked it up and there are 31.   21. That was a long grass trek for you to get your groceries Vanessa and I felt I should have been there to at least run a lawnmower over that path were the grass was a little high for your Cart. I see that you managed as usual and I was as relieved as you were when the Van with your food found you. Are there no shops at some of the place's were all the narrowboats Moor.   24. I'd say that flooding after the Snow trying not to break a leg was a little too much to face . That lock gate that the water was pouring through could have locked you in . Alice Grey did you proud Vanessa and you smiled though all this as you usually do. Hope your going to be warm enough now the weather has turned. There is a Eastwood near Nottinghamshire ,Derbyshire. So trusting and believing in honesty is rare. I miss the English rain as the rain where I am is like warm water. That Bee lives a colourful life , almost magical in the plants he gathers from. They Love you as much like all the people who watch your Vlog every week do. I never lived near a Lake and Hollingworth Lake looked really pretty.   29. hopefully you've seen the last of the floods and the tipped over Narrow Boat's . I'd imagine I'd have nightmares about my home tipping over if I lived on the canals too. Usually Girls are scared of Mice but I knew you wouldn't be. I've never heard of a mischief of Mice either. Were do you find these sayings from? That was a vegetable concoction if I've ever seen one. Just how many Balls has Zephyr found on her walks since you started making your Vlogs. Must be Hundreds. Crumpets or Pieklets as we used to call them in Nottinghamshire.   32. Winter has set in in England by the looks of things . Snow, sleet, rain and flooding. Is it hard to keep the Boat warm at this time of the year or is the Stove efficient enough. I like most people love to see a Robin but it's a bit odd to think we all have our own Robin. I saw in the comments someone though that was the case. Do all the Robins have their own Batman too then ? Crampons in the Snow. I'd never have thought of that , but were I live now I'd never need them.   34. The Storm caused the flood Vanessa which is something that never happened to that extent when I lived in England. You are learning new skills on your journeys and seem to be taking them on with ease.Yes I could see you were worried and I was worried for you. My Dad used to say see what you can do when you try , I was still scared doing it though. Vanessa the Indiana Jones of the rivers. Pity Mechanics worldwide are greedy regardless of what they say about giving you a good deal. Hope Alice runs smoothly for you after it's maintenance.

  36. Macclesfield surprised me and it was a good surprise. I would never have dreamed it was as pretty as it was. The Names on the Benches are a bit sad to think that the people are gone but I'm a romantic if anyone was. The Blackbird was the one in Paul McCartney's song Vanessa and I think he was singing to you. I'm thousands of miles away from England but every week you take me back there. Lovely Vlog Young Lady.

  37. I've never lived on or near water in my lifetime and when I see the Houses on the edge of these canals in your Video's it make's me wish I had. I never knew Ladybugs, I've always called them Ladybirds since a kid , I never knew they looked like that till they reached maturity. I love the little villages you find and think you are very adept at finding your way around place's you've never been before. That was a nice day to have your adventure on Vanessa and a lovely Video too.

  39. Seems not to take much to cause you problems that most people never think about Vanessa. I never thought about the problem of trash disposal . As a kid I'd unknowingly catch Butterflies the plain white ones that I do not recall the name of and not realizing that they would never fly again when I let them out. Jammy Dodgers.   41. We never have friends like the ones we have as children and it still surprises us when we lose one of them or hear of them passing. It's rare when we stay in touch with some friends for life Life is tragically short Vanessa but Love lasts longer than a Life when we are remembering or remembered.

  44. We are nearly at the end of another Year Vanessa. Were did it go ? As kids me and my Mates used to drink from what I hope were natural Springs in the countryside. Zephr always seems to find a Ball. My Auntie's never stayed with me but I stayed with them growing up. Maybe my Mum wanted rid of me for a week in the holidays. That was risky hoping the water would be deep enough to traverse those Locks but as usual you made it through with a smile. This was another wonderful Vlog Vanessa , thank you.
