More importantly Taiwan should not be illegal because China do not like them. Also Taiwan is a sovereign ruled by their own people and not under CCP control. Also China should obey international law like stop harassing vietnamese fisherman fishing in their own waters. China violate internatlonal laws they do not like because they operate outside honor and rules.

What you need is to do multiple test to reduce false positive and false negative to small enough level such that you slow down infection rate so your health care system can cope. To me it sounds more like they don't know what's happening so they implemented an aggresive response in order to save face. When everything settles down over reaction is much easier to spin positive than under reaction.

Quarantine off all people that originated from Wuhan should have been done when China issued the Wuhan lockdown. Their own government is already saying it is not safe for this people to travel that is why they have lockdown. So why did the Philippine officials not listen to the Chinese official that there should be a lockdown. Do they think they know better than the officials who are actually at ground zero?

  12.  @wumaobot  The US never claimed to own Iran. Also US rights to sanctioned Iran should not extend to non US companies. I don't agree that US can prosecute companies not registered in their country for actions done outside of US jurisdiction. The US have the right to ban Huawei's products but they do not have the right to put the owners granddaughter in jail. But it is Canada doing that so I support any effort to stop Canada from holding Huawei's employee as a negotiating hostage.

  13.  @pvrify  The incubation period is 14 days. So if other countries detected symptoms a week ago that person was infected 3 weeks before. That also mean the infected person was able to spread the virus for 2 weeks before getting isolated. And those newly infected are also spreading the virus without being detected and isolated. It is exponential with 3 weeks of spreading everyone is already infected.

  14.  @pvrify  It would be serious if the lethality was high. So far there are zero death outside of china. This means the virus is not lethal if detected and treated early. The lethality inside Wuhan is exaggerated because of lack of facility and medical personnel. That is why china is scrambling to build hospitals. It is hard for your immune system to fight off the virus if you are sleeping on floors.

I have problems that China think they can stop me or any other non chinese citizen from mentioning Taiwan as if they think everyone is their dog that they can eat even if the dog is their neighbours beloved pet.

  21.  @kuanged  First I advocate that Canada should free Huawei's CFO. Second US can ban any product or company from doing business in their jurisdiction that is what a sanction is. So yes they have every right to impose rules in their jurisdiction including banning products and companies. What I don't agree is that this jurisdiction should not extend to Canada which is a sovereign nation and not a part of US. Just like China has no jurisdiction over me or any other company outside of China and we ahould be free to mention Taiwan whenever we want.

The problem is the leaders are injecting emotions when they should be applying ruthless cost benefit analyses. Yes they can include the environment, democracy and freedom in their analyses as benefits but emotion should not be the driving motive in trade negotiation. At the end of the day the purpose of trade deals is to improve the net benefits enjoyed by your citizens if that is not the case you are doing it wrong.

So without it their projected growth rate drops from 50% growth into 25% growth. That is still a very high growth rate for a company.

You reserve cash for emergency and use debt leverage for capital investment. The reason for this is the cost of borrowing is cheaper when you have a pile of cash compared to borrowing in an emergency where you have no cash. It is less risky to hold cash and only pay debt that is due compared to having zero debt but then have to borrow for emergency. Of course having a pile of cash and zero debt is even better for risk management but that also means your cash is just sitting in the bank with very small returns.

Given the population of Hubei and the reported infected and death numbers by China the world thought it is as contagious as an ordinary flu with slightly increase lethality. I even thought that the massive hospital China built is just PR by local official who is overreacting. Then Italy happens and we finally have reliable numbers and clue as to the serious situation. China lied so the world was late to react. If the world would have known what is happening in Wuhan like they know now what is happening in Italy then they would have prepared a lot earlier. South Korea and Taiwan has prepared themselves but that is because they know not to trust China's reported cases.

That is 2 months where asymptomatic can travel around and infect the world. Our government was afraid to issue travel ban on people coming from Wuhan because they are afraid of China's reprisal. I blame them because we have chaotic lockdown that is already to late because China needs to be appease. When our government tried to lift the travel ban to Taiwan because they seem to have the disease under control. China said we need to lift the travel ban to the mainland too. They don't care that Wuhan was still having uncontrolled infection. They just think our country is small so it can be bullied. I blame China because they are the reason our country did not have rational scientific response instead having to prioritize China's politics over saving our countrymen's lives.

There are even issues with China threatening small nations that try to selectively ban flights form mainland China where the Covid is spreading and not Taiwan where the Covid is not spreading. So China officials are actively interfering with other soveriegn nations internal health emergency response protocols.

China likes to hide in international treaties when question in their immoral action but then arrogantly violate international treaties without reservation when convenient. You tell Chinas despicable leaders that they cannot pick and choose which international agreement is applicable to them. Since China do not believe on following international law they have lost all rights to use them as their shield. China as a country is an international criminal and they know it and certainly act like one.
