He claimed they were going in to get Bin Laden, except the Taliban offered to surrender him to the US before the war started. Bush refused. Then he claimed they were going to push back the Taliban. Well, they did that within the first year, and could have come home. But it was never about "winning". It was about sitting there forever making trillions of dollars for the MIC, who own most politicians. Biden is the first president with the guts and patriotism to end this farce and bring the people home. He's STILL bringing Americans and allies home.

  6.  @mjchakos1  No, I'm very much anti-war. There is only a handful of very specific instances where war can lead to any sort of positive outcome (such as fighting back the Nazis). Most of the time war is simply there for profit, for trillion dollar weapons companies to make trillions more off suffering and devastation. That's all Afghanistan was. There was never a "win" condition. It was about endlessly funneling trillions to the MIC. Which is why so many people are up in arms about Biden finally bringing an end to it.

  7. Open borders far left? The borders have never been more SEALED than under Biden. He took all the unconstitutional policies that were already in place and then doubled down on them. In his first SIX MONTHS Biden deported more immigrants than the orange traitor did in FOUR YEARS. He stopped more people entering the country than ever before, and gave people who WERE in the country the boot. America NEEDS open borders as the country is reliant on immigration and migrant workers.

  10. Abortion is actually protected in multiple parts of the Constitution. For one, the 1A, which prevent religious rule. For another, the fact that slavery is illegal, which forced pregnancy falls under. It also falls under the protection from cruel and unusual punishment. Also it's an unenumerated right which is protected by default.

And the fact that Republican investigations proved that Biden and his family NEVER took money from foreign powers. Some got money from foreign nationals, which, surprise, is how INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS works. There's countless American companies (many run by Republicans) that have foreign donors. That's called capitalism.

  16.  @mpjstuff  The language has evolved. It's not what I think it means, but what society has changed the word to mean over time. Just as gay used to simply mean joyful. Or how awful and awesome both used to mean the same thing, something awe inspiring. But over time awful became a word for something negative, while awesome become a positive. The meaning of words change as society uses them for new things, regardless of their original meaning or intent.

  42. I would kill both bills. No handouts for corporations. And start from scratch. This time FORCING people to the table. Make sure that it's made clear to the American people when someone is selling out the country for their donors or personal profits. If Manchin makes noise about coal or green energy, launch a dozen adds (mostly in WV) explaining how he's fighting to cripple Americans so that he can profit off the coal mine that makes him double his Senate salary every year. Biden needs to use the bully pulpit. Run ads against those who don't cooperate. Threaten them with primaries. Let Manchin know that his daughters crimes could be investigated by the DoJ and she could end up in prison for life, and wouldn't that be unfortunate?
