  11.  @Cheeseburger.Launch.Sequence  Difference being you're running a company. You are following the regulations that you have to. State governors DO NOT have the authority to work out trade agreements with foreign countries. The federal government does that. The governor can decide on taxes and such within the state, but can make no actual deals with Mexico. He is required to allow Mexican trucks to deliver good to the shipping warehouses where American trucks will then distribute them. He can put regulations on the warehouses for things, but he can't tell Mexico what they're allowed to import or export. That's literally beyond his legal power.

  17. What I want to ask of these idiots (the "it's a hoax" morons) is what the hell makes them believe it's a hoax? Because Trump said so? Some say "Oh, it's the Democrats trying to scare us." Um, no, if that was the case, there WOULD NOT BE OVER 150 THOUSAND DEAD in the US. And it would be something constrained to the US. But this pandemic has hit the entire world. Almost every country has had a disturbing amount of deaths. Naturally only a handful as bad as the US... but it's not like this isn't something the entire world has been going on about. What kind of hole do you live in that you could EVER think that something of this magnitude is a hoax?

  18.  @danhalo1405  The thing is, the states that took protective measures and had a temporary shutdown had far better economies than those that just stayed open. Because the places where businesses just stayed open and ignored precautions kept hemorrhaging money as they had to close down every time staff got sick, faced lawsuits, had labor shortages, supply issues, had to keep paying to get more testing done, etc... The shutdowns WERE good for the economy. Getting a pandemic under control so that you can get back to business as usual sooner is better than staying open, constantly fumbling and failing and dealing with massive health and legal issues and losing most of your staff. While the companies that closed got opened back up with new regulations came back in with strong recovery, the companies that stayed open were recording heavy losses. Republicans didn't care about the people OR the economy. They cared about the OPTICS. They wanted voters to THINK that they were "fighting for the economy" even as they devastated it with their lies and incompetence. They pushed the lies that those taking precautions and keeping their staff and customers safe were "weak" and the "real" companies threw lives in the garbage for the all mighty dollar.

Because they deserve more representation. Of course you also have the issue of voter suppression and other nonsense, which is how most Republicans stay in office.

They'd lead to the murder of countless innocents in order to protect themselves and their wealth. And the Nazis would uphold that bargain, for a time. Once they felt that the Quislings couldn't be of any more real use (they'd sold out all the people the Nazis thought they would), they would get dragged into the camps right alongside all those they betrayed and the Nazis would seize all their wealth and holdings. They die right alongside the rest. Shapiro and Owens are absolutely no different.   36. Canada's got over 81% of the population fully vaccinated. They're lifting what few regulations exist (there's been no mandates, despite what fascists tried to claim). And the doctors and scientists have been screaming that cases are going to now skyrocket. But the government doesn't care because it wants to bow to the 1% of lunatics screaming about how "the country is locked down" (which it absolutely is not, people have been going to restaurants and events and such for over a year now)... and they'll murder countless citizens to bow to those lunatics. And then have to actually put some regulations in place again once the hospitals start getting flooded.

Biden was the one that came up with a plan to get the US forces out of Afghanistan. And now Biden is standing up to Putin and putting him in his place. He's making sure that WWIII does NOT break out, while ensuring that Russia is decimated through sanctions and NATO support to Ukraine. While Biden's social policies have been garbage (because he's not pushed for any of them), his military actions have been top notch.

  38.  @ROCKLEEAC  No company has EVER been able to be held liable for a vaccine. The polio, rubella, smallpox vaccines... you can't sue a single one of them. So this is absolutely nothing new. There is a secret vaccine court you CAN take appeals to. But most people don't actually know about that because they don't announce it. But if you go through the proper channels, you can try to make a case there. And yes, we should always know what side effects come with medications. And we in fact do, because the CDC enforces that. And we know there are no side effects from the COVID vaccines. As for other countries, there are investigations... though none have shown any actual side effects. They basically have a system similar to VAERS, where anyone can report literally anything, and then doctors have to investigate. There's been reports of blood clots, but they've not been able to link them to the vaccines. Though it is possible in some countries that are using different vaccines than those available in the US. It's one of the reasons countries are so pissed that the US, Canada and the UK aren't sharing the patent for the vaccines, because then other countries could use the same ones North America has, which are proven to be completely safe. There hasn't been a single confirmed death from the COVID vaccines. There are some reports people have made of heart conditions and such... but so far all testing has shown it has absolutely nothing to do with the vaccines (ignoring those who were just completely lying in the first place). I get vaccine hesitancy. A lot of people are weary of a new drug. But these things go through insane levels of testing to make sure they're safe. People say don't worry because there's literally nothing to be worried about.

You have political leaders openly committing treason and other crimes and never facing any accountability for it. You have white folk committing capital crimes and getting a slap on the wrist, while some black man who steals a backpack or doesn't return his neighbor's lawnmower on time gets 20 years in prison. The Republican party are actively fighting to destroy the country, and the Democrats, despite having the power to do so, refuse to do anything to hold them accountable. While never the shining utopia Americans loved to claim their country is, it did used to be a fair sight better than it is now. At this point the country is a complete failure. It likely won't last another year or two.

At the start, when they hadn't verified the effectiveness of masks, he wasn't recommending them, because there was a shortage for actual medical personnel and first responders, and he was asking people not to hoard them so that key personnel could get them. Once they verified that masks COULD stop the virus, they recommended everyone wear a mask. It's almost like, that's how science works. And no, he's been praised for his accuracy. The right has of course lied endlessly about everything he's said, because the right are anti-science idiots who would rather murder Americans than admit someone else is right about something.
