  1. I've been driving around with some of my black friends and a few times we've been pulled over. Almost every time, the cop comes up, starts his racist crap and then see me and suddenly does a 180. I've had several times when a cop has flat out asked me "are you alright sir?" while I've been sat in the passenger seat. SIR? Really? My friend is getting grilled and you're trying to make sure the poor white guy isn't being kidnapped or something? I still remember one time when a cop pulled us over, asked my friend the old "do you know how fast you were going?" bit (even though we clearly weren't speeding, especially as we'd had several cars zip past us at way over the limit that the cops clearly ignored). I lean over (in all my glorious whiteness to blind the cop of course) and say that we were doing 58 according to the digital speedometer (it was a 60 zone). And the cop actually paused, stared at me for a second, and said "that's good, this are has a lot of speeders, please be safe" and then left. The complete change cops have when they see a white person in the car (that is dressed "respectfully") is insane and really offensive.

  4. There was a couple of times with one of my black ex's that I'd drive around to pick them up in town and a cop would actually stop them and try to harass for prostitution. So much disgust for those cops. I mean, MAYBE if she was dressed like you'd expect a street worker to dress or something and was just leaning in my window or something, but she's wearing just average clothes (jeans and t-shirt) and basically just standing there and getting in my car as I drive up. WTF.

Even though the only reason he's forcing them to open is because he thinks it will be good for HIS political appearance. Even though I'm sure countless advisors are telling him that MURDERING THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN AND TEACHERS IS NOT A GOOD LOOK!!! Then of course he rambles on about the stock market, as if that's a sign of a great economy. Even though the two things ARE NOT the same. The stock market can be doing amazingly well even when (or especially when) the economy is a garbage fire. The stock market is good FOR THE WEALTHY. For everyone else it's meaningless. You don't need to look at stocks, you need to look at income of average people. At how much people can spend. At housing costs. THAT is the economy, the stock market is just a playground for the rich.

Especially when you have a party like the Republicans who have no real stance other than "let's do the opposite of what the Democrats would do".

  17. There is racism in Europe, but it isn't as blatant or systemic as in the US. Cops in say Sweden won't just walk up to random black people in broad daylight and murder them. If they are planning to kill a black person, they'll take the effort to set them up first and make it look like there was just cause. In the US, they'll just walk up and shoot someone and not give a damn because they know there's no consequences. The most cops generally will face is having to be sent to a new department, less than 0.1% ever face any actual legal repercussions.

  18. Pence is a great liar. Well, not great, but he can do so convincingly at times. I mean, you know he's lying, but he presents it in a way that makes him seem confident of what he's saying. Meanwhile Trump just screams random insanities and the more he talks the more he shows he doesn't have the first clue what's going on.

Yet they're ACCEPTING those ballots when counting the votes for Senate and Congress seats that Republicans won. So... the ballots are supposedly only "half illegal"? Once he takes power, he'll cancel all future elections, disband the government (and take all their wealth for himself) and basically treat the country like his personal piggy bank. Of course even when he's executing his own followers in the streets, they'll likely still support him right up until the bullet hits the back of their head.

  31.  @caioporto9234  Yes and no. Virus mutate in different ways. Some that start off only mildly lethal might mutate into a form that has vastly higher mortality rates. It might not last as long, but it's because the virus is reacting differently with different immune systems. So COVID could mutate into a version that is vastly more dangerous, but could be harmless to those who were vulnerable to the original strain. The randomness of viral mutation is part of what makes it so dangerous.

  48. Trump did nothing to get the vaccine. Germany created the vaccine. Warp Speed was a complete failure. There was no plan to distribute the vaccine. Hell, when Pfizer offered Trump a hundred million MORE doses, he turned them down. Biden basically did EVERYTHING in regards to getting the vaccine out to the American people.
