@chibipotate Ah, so repeating more of the Republican's lies?
Poll watchers have been able to stand as close as 6 feet on average from people (because, you know, pandemic). They can get closer at times as long as they don't touch anything or interfere (like if they want to have something verified).
And honestly, seeing if someone is "being honest" isn't hard. They sort the ballots and count them. They note any that are damaged or invalid, record the info, contact the person who voted so they can re-vote, and destroy the invalid ballot.
It's almost like this has been going on in elections for generations and nothing has changed this time around.
And no, there weren't "last minute" votes. There were ballots that had to come in and be counted in some states after the election day ballots. In other states they were able to start the mail in counts earlier. Honestly I think it would be best if there was a unified nation wide system, so everything is treated exactly the same. But there's no issues at all with how things were done.
And no, there were not last minute changes to laws and such. That's simply not true. Especially as it's REPUBLICANS who are in control of dealing with most of the election laws. So it's not like Dems could do much anyway even if they wanted to.
As for votes that listed Biden only... there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. A lot of people only vote for the president. They are NOT required to fill in the whole ballot. They can choose to only vote for the president, or only for a single senate seat, or whatever they want. That's their freedom and right as a voter.
And the people showing up to swear that they saw irregularities are all either recanting (because they know they face jail time for lying in court) or they are admitting that they didn't actually see anything, but they're sure it happened. There has yet to be any actual proof of fraud.
The media doesn't have much to do with it. It's their right to shut down Trump's lies, because that's what they are. Allowing someone in a position of power to openly lie is dangerous. There's a reason news stations have fact checkers.
Second, the endless suppression by the Republicans is one of the key ways democracy is being destroying. Constantly trying to block democrat areas and especially people of color from voting. That's unconstitutional. But it's also been the Republican way for generations.
Trump's attempts to illegally ignore an election and spit in the face of Americans is a crime. He's guilty of sedition and treason. But because the Republicans who support him in everything he does are in power (for now) they're letting him do it and blocking any attempts to bring him to justice.
Once he's finally out of office he can be up in front of a federal court and America can finally start to heal.
