  20. David, you have to make a correction (as does media, though they never do). These are NOT "non-lethal" rounds. These are "less-lethal". Rubber bullets and bean bags can still be perfectly lethal depending on how they're used. That is NEVER acceptable. That officer needs to be fired, lose his benefits, and arrested for attempted murder. You are NEVER supposed to fire even a beanbag round from that close. Rubber bullets are designed to be fired AT THE GROUND, NEVER directly at a target.

When asked if he was denied access to witnesses, he said no. When asked if he was denied access to agency resources, he said no. When asked in what way he was being hampered, he basically said, "Well, I wasn't, but I felt like I was."

  33. If the filibuster has to be kept, then it definitely needs to be changed to a proper talking filibuster. Where you have to stand for the full duration, no breaks, and ONLY talk about the subject at hand. No reading Dr. Seuss or other nonsense. If you can't sit there and argue your case for the full duration, then you don't get to filibuster. The argument that removing it means that anything Dems do, Republicans can undo when they take power isn't a good one. Just because something COULD be undone, doesn't mean it WILL. And it doesn't mean you shouldn't do good in the first place. If Dems pass a great bill that benefits the country... and then the Republicans try to revoke it... that's going to bite Republicans in the ass and lose them a ton of voters. It's one thing to vote down a bill before it's in place... but once something's in law, and the people are taking advantage of it... trying to take that away will get massive backlash. Which would then help to make sure Dems get back into power. And likely stay there once the people actually see Republicans actively screwing them over.

Come 2022, because of the Republican voter suppression laws, including those that literally allow Republicans to throw out the results of an election if they don't win and simply declare themselves the winner... the Republicans will have complete control over America. 2024 will guarantee they get a Republican president, because with the control they'll have from 2022, they'll be able to simply declare that Democrats cannot win the election.
