I never associated Davos as having anything to do with the average citizen.

Norton delivered all the right answers.

Europe bought LNG on the spot market which may be the most expensive method of buying anything. The U.S. market is seeing price increases as well as LNG supplies become tight domestically. The U.S. already supplies several countries with LNG and the additional demand from Europe has reduced supplies further.

Remove the surrounding pictures and let them stay glued to the wall. Then put a sign in front of them: "Les Idiots".

I am glad Russia has taken an interest in nuclear radiation, more so after they threatened to nuke Eastern Europe.
12
China needs to keep their weather balloons from U.S. military installations. I doubt China would be so forgiving if the situation were reversed, that the U.S. would have weather balloons floating over Chinese military sites.

Gravity will do what the government never gets around to do.
10
This is unbelievable. The Russians think we are just that stupid to buy into this.

The only thing that stopped Cuba from growing was the Castro brothers. Even the Soviet Union got tired of supporting them and walked away. Cubans in the United States have done well for themselves so it shows Cuba never lacked the talent to do better, it was the Castro brothers that prevented the Cuban people from doing better.

In reading the history of China, for a country built on love, mutual respect and honest dealing... a whole lot of people died. Or should I say murdered. Or should I say genocided? How many just in the 1900's? We'll skip earlier eras for now.

She is here for people like you :)

China's friend without limits Russia is working tirelessly for peace.
7
I want to thank CGTN for reminding us in Europe the people can protest.
7
Better China doesn't send any peace keeping forces as they would be seen as allies of Russia. Supporting troops that are a great distance away is very costly and Chinese troops would feel they got dumped in the middle of no where with no friends. One never knows, for all their infighting and arguing, Eastern Europe might see the Chinese as an invading force, they would unite, fight the Chinese and afterwards go back to fighting each other.

Did Australia get a taste of China going "high"? If I recall correctly, China didn't want to sell rare earth minerals to the benefit of it's industry. I think the U.S. went to the WTO over this matter. Exports produced and sold under true cost can have extra tariffs placed on those goods (such as aluminum or steel). As a rule the U.S. sells prime defense materials under limited circumstances.
7
The balloon was headed over U.S. military installations. That will invite the interest of the U.S. Air Force.
6
This was a very pleasant conversation. Very pleasant.
6
U.S. energy prices tend to track the market and rise and fall with it. The U.S. domestic market has seen large increases in energy prices as well.
6
Why is it that in some of our nation's catastrophes, there always seems to be a Harvard man in the middle of it? -Thomas Sowell (Harvard graduate).
6
@ALIEN_857 Ukraine wanted to be left alone. They always wanted to be free from Russia. You need to study the history. NATO countries only got involved once Russia started bullying Ukraine. Keep in mind Putin stated Ukraine should have not been allowed to leave Russia. Ukrainians disagreed.
6
I trust the Chinese more than most American Progressives.
5
With all the hot air that gets released there it is remarkable there is any snow at all. Tian Wei's height requires 20% less fabric for clothing so she is being very green.
5
Europe can get gas from a variety of sellers. The U.S. has encouraged Europe to diversify it's suppliers. Europe just has to build liquified natural gas terminals.
5
Musk said he expected problems as this rocket was a new and complex design.
5
Maybe if the PLO/Hamas withdraw their threat to drive the Jews into the sea peace might yet be achieved.
5
Germany complained about spying than asked if they could have more of the intelligence.
5
It wasn't only the Chinese. Various immigrant groups faced restrictions.

When ever I hear Clare Daly I think of this exchange: Lady Astor: Winston, if I were married to you I'd poison your soup! Winston Churchill: Madame, If I were married to you, I'd drink it!

This guy is an RT alumnus. I have yet to see the U.S. paint Chinese babies evil. And I have been in the U.S. a lot longer than him. Even during the Cold War I didn't see the U.S. government call one Russian baby evil. Not one person has ever walked up to me and asked about those evil Chinese babies. Lee, you need a new act.

Jeffery is reading talking points but I doubt he ever talked to one businessman. China seems to be working on the colonial model of buying raw materials and then exporting finished goods. They'll buy soybeans from Brazil but little else. At some point China in order to keep the peace will have to close Chinese factories and start setting them up in countries they now just buy raw materials from. Japan went through this back in the late 1970's and 1980's.
4
Mongolia is bordered to the north by Russia and to the south by China.

Golstein has a memory failure. How many times has the Soviet Union/Russia attacked their neighbors since 1900? Countries like Poland want NATO because Poland has few good memories of Russia (who dismembered their nation not once, but twice). Russians aren't worried about the Russians in Ukraine. When it suited Russia, they eliminated millions of their own. What Putin wants is a restoration of the pre-1990 borders. Europe hasn't learned the lessons of war, you do not win by defending your nation. And for the United States, the last thing it needs is another major war to save Europe from itself (think World War 1 & 2).
4
I do not think this woman realizes what a sore spot trade has become. She is going on about we need to understand China more, well, she better learn more about how many Americans deeply resent trade with China.
4
Double standards are all the world has.
4
Between OPEC and their good friend Russia, China will probably be seeing their economy slow down even more. The European economy will be importing less and no doubt the U.S. will be importing less from China. It appears Putin will try to win at any cost and if he ends up taking down his allies in the process, so be it. No doubt India is now ready to take advantage of any stress China has.
4
Considering it's history as The Soviet Union and later Russia, civilians were never all that important to them. Neither were neighboring countries as Russia used them as buffer zones.
4
"Nicaraguan government has invited China to set up military base in their country" Like Cuba, they need money.
4
This history is not hidden and has been discussed.
4
If it weren't for graft, you'd get a lazy kind of politician. A real jellyfish.
4
Why not go back in history and see how the USSR/Russia treated Ukraine and it's other neighbors?
4
No mention of the Soviet Union? The United States let it's military shrink and run down after World War 2 ended. Then the Soviet Union blockaded Berlin and helped start the Korean War. It was accepted a large military would be needed from then on.
4
Nothing strikes fear into the heart of the Chinese like a small, free, democratic island called Taiwan.
4
"China is successful because the state regulates the country with zero tolerance for corruption." China is successful because they work cheap. Other countries work cheap, they will get the business China had. Like Africa.
4
If a group of people can not stand in the public square and call their leader an idiot, you do not have democracy.
3
That would be a HUGE mistake.
3
@dstr1 I have heard the first attempt they will turn you down. This is to discourage fraud claims. You have to try again.
3
History shows in the past a multipolar world was not all that peaceful, why would a modern multipolar world be any more peaceful?
3
@alexandervantricht2189 I'd rather wake up and smell the coffee.
3
@MrAbklee Learn the propaganda game Bk.
3
There have been apologies issued from Emperor Hirohito down to modern Japanese leadership. Japan also has paid compensation. The feeling in some parts of Japan is further apologies will no longer do any good.
