The border clash between India and China several months ago Chinese soldiers hurt people and broke things. This is what the military is for. I am not sure why CGTN would post this. Their military will be expected to attack Taiwan with the intent of doing a great deal of damage. Any Chinese soldier that does not do their duty will not be given an honorable discharge with a sympathetic pat on the back. As for Bryant, he knew what the army does and is for.

@theangrycanuck8331 So goes the theory but bombs can end up not where they were intended to go and civilians can be used as shields. Or you get bad information on where to fire your missiles. Or civilians can walk right into a hot zone.

Unlike Honduras whose friendship with China has been purchased, the United States and Taiwan (The Nationalists) have been allies for decades through the shared experience of World War 2. Tsai Ing-wen is perfectly welcome to come by for a visit, as is Xi Jinping if he cares to do so.

Psssss.... Hey Pepe, NATO was formed because of RUSSIA. Josef Stalin lied to Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt repeatedly. Remember the 1948 Berlin airlift because Stalin shut down all access to Berlin? Then Stalin encouraged North Korea to invade South Korea. Remember all that Pepe. Maybe you missed that class in school?

It was Russians that committed genocide on Ukrainians. You may have forgotten but the Ukrainians haven't.

Ukraine is an independent nation who does not have to answer to Russia for it's choices. Russia took it upon itself to attack Ukraine. More nuclear bombs will not make China more powerful. After the first 50 nuclear bombs or so get fired, the air will be unbreathable. Food sources will be contaminated. If I recall correctly, Xi Jinping recently had to remind Putin of that.

Haiti has always been a basket case. None of those islands can support industry and at best they can only operate as tourist spots.
1
@QuietJugung I have seen interviews with people who are in what would be Chinese think tanks. So, the Chinese government pays people to come up with bad ideas just like the U.S. does.
1
@jye7027 No idea what you are talking about and you included no references.
1
"Ruling party and opposition party must work in way for benefit of the nation, not to implement policy to serve their party interest." That is not democracy. If you do not have vigorous debate and disagreement you have a dictatorship. And in the end, only one party's interest is served.

And people think waterboarding is torture. Having to listen to these speeches is a form of human rights abuse.

The west blocks very little content from China. A good example is CGTN on YouTube. Now, is Voice of America on CCTV?
1
@catonpillow The USSR was always Russia plus a few sheep herders.

Nationalized railroads have derailments too. Just look it up.
1
@theangrycanuck8331 And that invalidates my comment how? Norfolk Southern is not having a good month. Bad luck or other problems?

Prigozhin upstaged Putin. So no A.I. for Prigozhin.

The U.S. is the biggest funder of the UN.

The only thing the President of Argentina values more than China's friendship is China's ability to bail out Argentina from bankruptcy every 5 years or so. Argentina was once one of the world's wealthiest countries.
1
Forget Lee. Is he still on RT? He was supposed to be a sort of comedy act. I could never take RT all that seriously and if Lee were on here, CGTN look even less serious.
1
Actually, he has been forgotten. He even got dissed by Putin. And now he lives in a country where you really get watched.

More than likely there would have been a question time where the woman would have time to address her concerns to the Senator. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can go into private meetings and talks and disturb them at will.

Keep in mind Russia invaded a country that was no threat to them. Ukraine gave up it's nuclear weapons on the assurance Russia would not invade them. Russia has already invaded Ukraine 10 years ago. Now is not the first time this has happened. Russia is now more dependent on China and China is effectively keeping the lights on in Moscow. Ukraine was treated brutally by the Soviets, Russia has invaded it's neighbors when it felt so inclined. The Soviet Union had no problem playing KISS KISS when/with Adolf Hitler ran Germany as long as the Soviet Union got something out of the deal. And China goes on about respecting sovereignty while their good friend Russia bombs apartment buildings and children's playgrounds. I do not quite think it's all America telling Europe what to do. The Europeans know the history and they may foolishly have thought Russia had changed for the better.
1
@aungaisum8654 Nice dodge from the issue I presented. :) China through CGTN fired it's volley. Now it is my turn. By the way, China has no problem taking the cash from the U.S. I guess China's morals never let a dollar get in the way?
1
@awjames1121 "Usa has a very very hugh problems, of over 31 trillions dollars of debt??" China has extremely heavy debt as well. On very rare occasion they admit to it.
1
The law gets enforced and even China knows about... how? The United States releases the information to news organizations.
1
There might be reasons why.
1
The Soviet Union/Russia has a history of attacking it's neighbors. Putin doesn't even think Ukraine should exist.
1
Ah, the South Koreans were Ukrained before Ukraine got Ukrained.
1
Withdraw China's support of Russia concerning the Ukraine War.
1
@honeybozo The Russians sent probes to Venus. They have submarines than can go very deep. They have nuclear bombs, Putin made that clear. Keep in mind, NATO was formed BECAUSE of the actions of the Soviet Union. Think Berlin Airlift of 1948. Putin was a KGB man, a line of work that was marinated in anti-western thinking. When Ukraine turned over it's nukes, it was done so under the agreement Russia would not attack Ukraine in return. As for the Russians couldn't have done it, the CIA has been wrong before.
1
@JamesSmith-ix5jd Russia doesn't care if they sell Europe gas. The only real leverage you have with Russia is an army you are willing to use. Europe made a fatal mistake, they thought they could charm the Russians. You can't.
1
@luceafarul579 It makes perfect sense if you do not want the pipeline used by Germany. Unless the Germans wish to pump salt water because you won't be able to use it to pump LNG with it. The pipeline near Germany could have been used to connect a string of floating LNG transfer stations together and then send the gas to the German mainland.

Since I can remember, Trump was always heavily concerned about trade deficits. To understand him you would have to watch his interviews going back to when he was just starting to become a media personality (late 1970's) in New York City to get a real sense of him.
1
If Russia didn't invade Ukraine not once, but twice, there would be far less need for sanctions.
1
Cuba has cigars and sugar and rum. And not much else.
1
North Koreans attacked both South Korean and American troops which started the Korean War (1950-53). This action was supported and encouraged by our good friends the Russians (then the Soviet Union).
1
The wealthy in the United States pay the bulk of personal income tax in America. Sachs should know more taxes usually do not fix anything.
1
Millions of immigrants to the U.S. say otherwise.
1
Ukraine for centuries was more connected to Europe than it was to Russia. Ukraine was invaded by Russia and forced into the Russian Empire. Left to it's own devices, Ukraine would rather be connected to Europe than to be under the heavy hand of Russia. Taiwan/The KMT were the allies of the United States during World War 2. The Communists of China never were.
1
@williamppl3624 $700 is an immediate cash emergency payment. The federal government will provide other assistance as it always has. Plus there will be private charity. Just history.
1
"were part of its historical sovereignty with no right to unilaterally withdraw, are unimpeachable." Depends on who you ask.
1
Not sure what the purpose of this video is. Was it just to get the racial comment sound bite? Russia destroyed it's relations with Europe by invading Ukraine. Europe was easy money for Russia and that is because of geography. China has relations with North Korea and Mongolia. Is that because they are racists?
1
@tigading2177 The U.S. helped free Afghanistan from Soviet occupation.
1
@jallopenoman1126 The Minsk agreement was useless on it's face. Even before it was signed many said it wouldn't work as Russia had it's heart set on going into Ukraine. And Ukraine wanted to put distance between itself and Russia. Many ignore The Soviet Union/Russian tendency to invade it's neighbors.
1
Trump is a businessman, not a diplomat. He see's things in dollars and cents. He goes by what will work and advance his or the U.S.'s interests. And that is what a president should do. Previous presidents traded away too much and operated by a trade theory that did work well 200 years ago. Today's world economy is far and away a different beast, yet many economists have no practical business experience and do not understand the effects of their thinking. For China, their days as a massive exporter are numbered.

When Nazi Germany took over Austria they said it was "legitimate and reasonable".
1
Women just love Jeffery Sachs. They all wish he were their son.
1
The Syrian oil the U.S. has goes to the benefit of the Kurds in Syria.
1
A look at the trade deficits tells the story. For a higher wage country, trade with a low wage country usually ends badly. China itself is just starting to feel the pain of dealing with low wage countries as jobs leave, never to return.
1
China has been saying make China great again for sometime. Boer maybe has spent too much time in China and has lost contact with the west. The West was built on self criticism.
