A Tokyo Rose/Axis Sally type. It is just not the Brits. There are a bunch of these guys on here from the U.S.

Argentina had a wealthy economy and one that was growing, then the Left came in and fixed that. And when Argentina does start recovering a little, the Left comes in and fixes it again.

No one is really oppressed in the United States. This is Leftist talking points. They are all running their mouths off on just about any situation they can think of. That is not oppression.
1
@KrazeDiamond Maybe China left U.S. balloons untouched because they wanted the United States to see what was going on. Adds to the power of any threat China might make in the future.
1
@Wbliss I have lost count of the number of Chinese spies the U.S. has had to arrest. The U.S. really never had a spy service before 1945. The U.S. learned it better get a spy service. A balloon can contain an EMP bomb. And balloons going over military sites is good reason to shoot them down.

The system in the United States is multi-level. You vote not only for President but you also vote for Senators and members of the House Of Representatives. The Senate and House members can override the president. Though rarely used, the states can override the Congress if they hold a convention and vote either to block Congress or to pass laws Congress won't. The Governors of the states can band together and place heavy influence on the President or Congress.

If you want to see a democratic China... look at Taiwan.

Afghanistan harbored a terrorist force. I can't say China would be very generous if a terrorist group wrought destruction on their land. Afghanistan went with the Taliban, under U.S. occupation they had more freedom and a chance to build a freer society. And the U.S. spent billions of dollars to help them achieve it.

These cities are independently run and they are free to advance themselves. Some make good choices and some make very bad choices. It can't be systematic racism if it is blacks that are running the city.
1
Read how the Soviet Union/Russia treated their own people during World War 2.
1
More Asian-Americans are switching over to the Republican Party. This upsets the Democrat Party greatly. The U.S. and China have had relations for well over 100 years and more than likely will have relations for centuries to come. They may run hot and cold then cold and hot but relations will continue. China working on the behalf of Russia will not be a good idea and China should not appear too cozy with Russia. The U.S. had a completely different experience with Russia than China has and negative feelings towards Russia could spill over onto China. On the other hand, any country that could produce an actress like Gong Li can't be all bad. That may not be the most scientific approach, but it works for me.

Covid will go away when it wants to go away.
1
I'm betting a back door deal was cut between the U.S. and China.
1
China runs a $279,423,600,000 trade surplus with the United States. That is a huge number and many other countries wish the U.S. would punish them like the U.S. "punishes" China.
1
@alexandervantricht2189 :) Good one.

If Russia didn't attack Ukraine, no weapons would have been sent to the country. Ukraine posed no threat to Russia.
1
Li Jingjing quoted a World War 2 admiral discussing strategy in fighting Japan. You know, the war the United States aided China to help defeat the Japanese. Relationships are maintained because of this era and the relationship with the Nationalists. The Communists were not allies of the United States and the Communists were more interested in defeating the Nationalists than the Japanese.
1
@ZhongXiangyu Depends. The Second United Front was a loveless affair and Mao never missed an opportunity to advance himself. The Communists tended to avoid any direct confrontation with the Japanese Army. It seemed it was more important the KMT was eliminated than the Japanese.
1
@ireneserrano4570 One of the reasons the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor was the embargo the U.S. placed on Japan because of the aggressive brutality the Japanese inflicted on China. The United States didn't have substantial interests in China and the U.S. wanted a open trade policy with China without the territory grab of other countries. The U.S. didn't love Chiang Kai-shek, they thought he was a pain in the azz but he was all the Allies had in the Pacific. His wife Soong Mei-ling was pretty popular in the United States and she created much goodwill.
1
@ireneserrano4570 I hope your baked desserts are better than your baked answers :) Got it Irene?
1
It's been done. And then we also have had 9-11.
1
LOL.... They did lose because they didn't accomplish what they wanted to do and now they lost because of the Kims. They lost the wrong way.
1
@truesouth4784 China shouldn't have but North Korea was a creature of Josef Stalin and The Soviet Union. North Korea is the legacy of Josef Stalin, it is his baby, his only surviving child.
1
Customers set the price. Russia has been giving away oil to China and India just to keep the lights on. And both China and India know if they anger Russia, no oil for them.
1
Maybe if industrialized countries stopped selling products to these people that would reduce production and create less CO2's. Less CO2's, less climate change. Problem solved.
1
Germany knows deep down being dependent on Russia is bad idea.
1
@catonpillow What is the context of that quote? If have yet to find someone who knows what the context of that quote is. I know it, do you?
1
@t4ac "even for declaration of act of war on its infrastructure by US." Not an act of war. This is a desperate argument to deflect from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, a true act of war. Always keep that in mind... Russia INVADED Ukraine. Ukraine did not invade Russia. The United States did not invade Germany.
1
In the other democracies during Biden's visit, those citizens CAN protest. Openly. Freely. Think about it.
1
Hey Andy, the United States had ties to the Nationalist on Taiwan for decades and the U.S. and the R.O.C. were allies in World War 2 working to defeat the Japanese. CGTN, if you want to be truly effective, you must do better than having people like Andy to help you.
1
Eddie Hughes Well then, if the U.S. was so bad, why would you run cover for Russia?
1
@Hoo88846 I was watching an old woman being pulled out of a Ukrainian apartment the Russians blew up. It was then I understood Putin's deep rooted fear of Russia being attacked and over run by old Ukrainian women.
1
Russia has made the world safe from Ukrainian apartment buildings. When you can't win on the battlefield, you attack old women instead.
1
You might note these people have relatively new cars. Even the poor in America can have nice cars. But this video raises an important question: Do tornados hate black people?
1
The United States had promoted an open door policy with China and encouraged the other powers to do the same.
1
"But in Socialist China the leader are selected" Yes they are.
1
@Utube1024 Not for removed from having your wife selected for you.
1
Not sure why China needs a large military unless they fear Russia. And if Russia uses nuclear weapons China can use the world class PLA to clean up the radioactive fallout that will land in China. One of the benefits of having a friend without limits.
1
McGovern brought speculation to the table. He said what you wanted to hear.
1
BRICS- BRAZIL,RUSSIA, India, China and South Africa. Both Hersh and McGovern are not coming out and saying who did it, they are saying who they think did it. Which indicates they are leaving an escape hatch to use.
1
Not sure what any of this has to do with the actual part failure that occurred in the East Palestine derailment.
1
China is giving Cuba money.
1
@markanthony3275 I think a lot of people have no idea what Fascism is. Just like a lot of people think Hitler was a right winger.
1
I see China and Russia are having a love feast again so I would suspect CTGN will have more pro-Russia stories. Another poster on here pointed out how would have China felt if an outside power came in with a deal to give half of China away to Japan as a peace deal? Russia has attacked Ukraine 3 times in the past 100 years. Russians starved Ukrainians to death so they could build steel mills and industrial plant. Russia has a history of attacking it's neighbors. Russia was behind the starting of the Korean War. China should think long and hard about calling Russia a friend. He who sups with the devil should use a long handled spoon.
1
You can lock up people for only so long. The fact people get the virus once they are back out with the public shows isolating people is no cure, you only delay them getting it.
1
Latin America has problems because of their erratic policies. Brazil is doing fine. Colombia is doing fine. Chile was doing fine. All are capitalist. Even Costa Rico is doing fine. Mexico has had good growth.
1
@strongchallenger2269 Every country can decide who they wish to support or not. In a few cases the U.S. helped certain groups because the alternatives were even worse. In Latin America many times the only choice was between pile of garbage politician A or pile of garbage politician B. In a few instances where you had more choices, you can add pile of garbage politician C to the list.
1
"Chinese system is a meritocracy, you dont have to smoothtalk" You have politicians, you are going to have smooth talk.
1
@HTeo-og1lg Military bases are immaterial to the argument. China saw opportunities and took advantage of them. For that, I won't blame the Chinese. I blame U.S. trade officials.
1
@evangrey4737 "Why wouldn’t you blame our capitalist system" Well comrade, it's looks like you have been drinking the Kool-Aid.
