>can hit Japan, South Korea, Russia, China... Why nobody care about Mongolia?
375
The cruelty of releasing your video at 1am Australia time. Goodbye, early night!
119
@MrMattumbo . The irony is that Iran actually offered it's support for attacking Afghanistan after 9/11... Bush turned them down. What a missed opportunity for peace.
74
On the other hand, the biggest constraint of UAV's is a lack of human intelligence. Human Creativity and decision making in AI would be necessary to completely replace the human. Imo, that's quite some time off, if ever...
72
@2:45 "Trump didn't hint what those 52 targets were" A small mistake Mr. Covert, he did say that there would be culturally significant sites targeted.
70
*American drone tried to block Iranian missiles freedom of navigation
50
Covert, I'd love to see a two part video series on biological & chemical weapons. It could be similar to your epic two part on SEAD & EW. Comprehensively covering each, such as chemical weapons used in the past, their current state, and future trends. Then there's the biological side, which still remains a complete mystery to most.
45
Hang on... A real conspiracy/secret weapon?! Better re-edit that last video, Mr. Covert Cabal.
38
The content is kind of good too...
37
Suggestion: a video in similar vein, but about "morale" And/or Why Middle Eastern nations have such underperforming militaries (also morale related?)
37
That's what we want him to talk about, his name is Covert Cabal, btw, and he makes the best military content in YouTube.
24
Well, it's the reason Saudi Arabia is so awful. They have one of the world's best, and most expensive, militaries in the world... But are absolute trash when put into combat.
20
Iran could always aim for Saudi oil production facilities. There's not much need for accuracy, and the impact would be global.
15
@TheAdrenalinx this is your first video here. How are able to criticise him? Maybe watch more videos, fool.
13
That is a very trendy thing to say. But there's plenty of instances where a small, besieged force with great morale kept a well oiled, logistically-superior army at bay.
13
@Elthenar I think they have lost some of their punch, like the F14 Tomcat, S3 Viking, A6 Intruder... The air arm isn't getting any better in the future, with short range F35s.
10
I hope Covert Cabal does a video on an Iran-American war - and no, not just the Hormuz strait, I mean everything... What happens 'after' the cruise missile strikes? I can't see the war just ending.
9
That is such a silly argument. 1945 - 2019 is a blink of time compared to the thousands of years worth of warfare. Hitler would have used nukes, and the growth of nuclear weapons only increases the chance that another crazed ruler will use them.
9
In these comments: Economic conspiracy theorists
8
He did mention AWACS, actually.
8
@neurofiedyamato8763 . They're more distracting 'for' English speakers, I think. It just sounds so unpleasant.
8
@fyrstormer Japanese whalers, Chinese bases - which are a prelude to mineral extraction... Also Russia, which is ridiculous, because Australia doesn't interfere in their arctic claims, and they're not anywhere near the Antarctic.
8
I hope your president stops being friendly with China. Regards, Australia
7
@87aggietim ok. Well technically they already signed that document, and the only nation to violate that agreement was America - due to pressure from an ally of theirs...
7
xOr F-15 crashed Kind of proving my point.
7
@riverinesqn3 Taiwan missed their chance at building nukes. There's no way they could ever restart now. Their best bet is for some friendly nation to gift them some nukes. I imagine South Africa would've done so had they not fallen, for a few billion each. /Alt history rant
7
I know you're joking, but I wish my nation, Australia, would go further in defending our slice of Antarctica.
7
I'll start with the odd comments: Anyone notice how in almost every picture of the Houthis (eg @3:15), they always have a massive bulge in their mouth? Khat addicts, that's why.
6
Yep. Stealth Helicopters like the one in the Osama operation. So yeah, they do.
6
The root of the issue is the American belief that they will always control the skies.
6
@skirata3144 yeah, but even America can't choose more than one continent to maintain air supremacy over. As seem by the recent attacks over the Middle East.
6
@MichaelSHartman well yeah, but China isn't necessarily "high tech" manufacturing, as is Germany or America. And I imagine a war would cut off Chinese access to Western intellect property... But hopefully that happens before any war, as most nations are catching onto Chinese theft.
6
@mikeb.5039 >Define cultural sites They're usually listed by UNESCO and other world heritage agencies.
6
@Mr1Largo yes, Iran even provided the intelligence and coordinates about the Taliban's location during the opening strikes of Operation Enduring Freedom.
5
Ground warfare video from Covert Cabal would be cool
5
@ginbelg1 a foreigner living in another nation. Also, UAE's economy is basically built on hosting real-estate and headquarters for those expats.
5
@dduay bot.
5
@ayush.kumar.13907 does that matter? And yes.
5
I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that Russia supposedly warned Erdogan of the coup attempt on his regime. Apparently the Russians picked it up with their electronic warfare from Syria. Right after that coup, Erdogan became close with Russia.
5
ScarletDespair I don't see being critical of Israel = anti semitism. Anti Zionism? Maybe...
4
@Elthenar well, I only mentioned range as one disadvantage. Like you said, weaponry is another... There is still nothing like the Phoenix missile. Another is that China stole everything about the F-35 up until the mid 2000s, this is why it's so delayed - because they had to basically build a new aircraft under stricter security.
4
Increased nuclear capable nations, means increased likelihood that q nutcase eventually comes to power, who wouldn't hesitate turning that switch.
4
@peterzingler6221 it's the fear of losing trade, that prevents wars.
4
The worst retaliation, in the short term, would be launching a barrage of ballistic missiles against Saudi oil industry on it's east coast. Which would likely push the price of oil above $200 a barrel. I'm sure Iran could decimate UAE's economy too. Just one cruise missile hitting even a vacant highrise would see a property downturn on epic scales.
4
Just ask any pilot you know. If they trust you, you'll hear some amazing encounters >Family friend of mine was responsible for training the entire New Zealand* commercial fleet, of an airline I won't mention. He didn't go out of his way, but when asked, told me about the "cigar shaped" objects he's seen that don't match any previous, or current technology. *Not New Zealand, but a similar sized Western nation... Not going to dox him, sorry.
4
@harb1911 . The tail is hanging over the wall. And it is not a regular Blackhawk tail. Seriously, Google image it, it takes 3 seconds
3
@sebs.3917 they never said "far inside their land". I truly detest strawman arguments, you moron.
3
@adampaula1863 I'm not so sure, the UAE is involved in the Yemeni war.
3
Maybe America should start arming true China, rather than just talk about doing so. They've sent a pittance to Taiwan recently, but if it comes to conflict, it's Taiwanese in the firing line.
3
Thailand?
