  1.  @Daniea3  oh I don't underestimate their ability to play dirty. But don't overestimate how effective that will be in 2020. The evidence to date shows that it is a failed technique. In 2016 Bernie Sanders was an unknown candidate and with all the dirty tricks they could muster he managed to close a 60 point gap. In 2020 he is the candidate with name recognition and the grassroots movement behind him. This time the wealthy elite use their money to attack Bernie Sanders and the result is in 48 hours we donate $1.5 million to his campaign. People see the ads attacking him and we call more people and explain to them how the attacks are wrong how Bernie Sanders is fighting for the working class. The tide has turned. What we are seeing is the last desperate attempts by the plutocrats to hold onto power. But while they have the money we have the numbers. In a democracy numbers win.

Switching to renewable energy will end the oil wars because the economy will no longer depend on oil to function. It is the entire reason the military industrial complex has any power because when gas prices go up people get worried they won't be able to afford to go to work or heat their homes. But if we put solar panels on every rooftop in the USA and development our wind resources both off and on shore then no one will care if someone in the desert half a world a way blows up a refinery because you will simply unplug your EV from your Solar panels on your own roof and drive to work.

  15. The Republican party just proved they are the party of fascism. The senate just voted on party lines to not hear evidence in the impeachment trial. The modern Republican party is simply intrested in holding onto power at any cost. Nothing more than a group of old wealthy white man who are scared of losing control more than anything else. The corporate Democrats are the non racist alternative for wealthy elites who want to make sure the working class doesn't take too much of their wealth. We need to vote for progressive candidates who put the wellbeing of the entire community over the wellbeing of the wealthy if we want to have a government of, by, and for the people again. We currently have a wealthy ruling class which has taken over both political parties.

  33. Just telling people to work at home is a class based solution. Most lower and avg income Americans don't have the luxury of working at home. If you are paid hourly the odds are that you can't work at home. 70% of jobs are in the service sector. Those are all jobs you can not do at home.

  34. I read it the same way. I think there was some bad blood when he split with TYT and that he figures he has been black listed by the Justice Democrats. I don't listen to Jimmy much but it seemed to me that he is open to having Justice Democrats. I also think the people saying he is upset it disproved his world view are wrong he has said many times he supports any progressives regardless of where they run just that he doesn't believe you can take over the Democratic party from the corporate chokehold. So far the 2020 primary race would tend to say he is right. I hope he is wrong but I am not convinced that the DNC will allow Bernie or Warren to be the nominee. Sure as the sun will rise in the morning they won't get the nomination without a massive fight. If Biden had to deal with the bad press Bernie gets Biden would be be down in the single digits and dropping out already.

  38.  @letssuperfuntime  he had over 250,000 per orders in 24 hours for a vehicle which wouldn't be available for 2 years. Not bad for a your irrelevant market. I suspect it will sell about half a million per year same as the Model 3 is currently on track for in the USA. 1 million vehicles per year between 2 models for a car company which was selling tens of thousands just a few years ago isn't irrelevant it is amazing growth. That doesn't include the output of gigafactory 2 in china or 3 which they are breaking ground on in Germany. I am not a huge Tesla fan but the company has made amazing inroads into the automotive industry. Oh as to your wasn't he going to save the world comment. Sorry to burst your bubble but Elon simply said Tesla is trying to force the revolution in the automotive industry to convert from ICE to EV. Elon has said there need to be about 10 factories the size of his in Nevada world wide and that he doesn't want to have to build them all that we need the other automakers to help. Ford is now releasing videos of their prototype electric pickup. BMW is commiting 50 billion dollars to EV development with 25 models comming by 2025. So I would say Elon Musk has been very successful at showing how to make an EV which can be mass produced and sold. He has succeeded at showing that there is a need and the other automakers are taking notice.

Oh and when you look at the price of the EV you want to buy in the future realize it saves you about 80% of your fuel bill.

Sam the entire reason we got into this mess where the last Democratic president is a self described Republican form the 80s is by comparing based on not being as bad as the Republican candidate. That is the goal of voting lessor of 2 evils it allows both parties to be evil and to not allow you a good choice.
