The reality is Trump has 2 choices resign before the vote and go down in history beside Richard Nixon or wait out the house vote and go down in history beside Bill Clinton as an impeached president. The senate can't stop the house from impeaching him just like Bill Clinton was impeached by the house and not removed by the Senate. The only difference is Bill Clinton had already won his second term when the house impeachment started. Trump has to hope that the 20,000 votes in key states that allowed him to win are all as loyal as you. Good luck with that one.

As to your comment about not depending on any other countries in a time of war first question do you think the USA is at a time of war? Beyond the 17 year of war for oil in the middle east because we have proven we can depend on Canada to supply is with imports including a growing percentage of our electricity during that conflict. So what war do you see us being involved with which puts the USA and Canada on opposite sides where we wouldn't fight together supporting each other for our common defense? The national security is bolstered by having strong allies Canada has always been one such ally. Now if you wanted to make a national security argument against a country which was on the other side during WWII you might have an argument but not against Canada unless your argument is that the USA can't be dependent on any other country and has to be 100% isolationist. If that is your argument it is unrealistic we have always been a country involved in international trade and will always be part of a world with international trade.

Heck given how Ayanna Pressley had to save Elizabeth Warren from hecklers at one of her speeches I would argue it could help her campaign to be stuck in the Senate trial and have Ayanna Pressley campaign for her in her absence.

Putting 20 million Americans into an eviction crisis. Trump like Bush before him has crashed the economy but Bush wasn't as good at it he only robbed 6 million Americans of their homes. We know what happened when Biden was in the Whitehouse. It wasn't the recovery I wanted but it didn't result in the most dead Americans under any American president or the most Americans filling unemployment in the history of that system. TRUMP has made us #1 in covid deaths and crashed the economy. I say number 1 because with 4% of the global population we have 25% of the deaths. If you vote for trump you are voting for the profits of billionaires like trump who have seen 50 trillion dollars of growth in their wealth at the cost of American lives.

It has cost far more deaths than any hurricane or other disaster which the federal government declared a national emergency. But you already know this because you know that in the past the federal government had taken actions through the CDC to protect Americans from Ebola and other virus stopping them from becoming a pandemic. You are infact the one who needs to rethink your theory of government. As Democratic president Harry Truman said "The Buck Stops Here" We have one party which believe in taking responsibility of their actions and addressing problems facing the nation. Then we have you and Trump who scape goat and blame those who lack power for the failures of your own actions. Trump and trump alone is the president of the United States it is his duty to protect this country from ALL threats foriegn and domestic. This virus he exnored and downplayed in his own words. Has killed 200,000 American citizens that blood is on his hands and the continued death count will be on yours when you vote for him. But the billionaires thank you while they hide inside their gated communities.

  21. @Storm Friggeberg I was thinking a national emergency and allowing the postal service to actually deliver PPE to every single American so we could follow the lead of Tiawan who never shutdown the economy but rather provided the protection their citizens needed to stop the spread of the virus while continuing to go to work and school. But thanks for pointing out that you only believe in authoritarian measures not preventive care. I know it is foriegn to think that in a nation emergency the federal government could provide needed supplies to citizens. Trump wouldn't have thought of that because he only thought throwing towels ar people in a national emergency about a hurricane was a photo OP not a chance to actually give the people needed supplies. Otherwise he would have known he had before used that athoritiry to help the citizens deal with a crisis. Oh he did act he made sure the federal reserve gave 1 trillion dollars a day to wallstreet protecting the profits of his donors while the economy crashed and Americans died.

The answer is simple we need to rebuild our energy sector with renewable. It won't distort anything. Building the Hover Dam and planting trees didn't distort the country during the great depression it helped save the country by putting people to work. Ending our dependency on ff will end our need to fight the forever oil wars in the middle east costing us trillions of dollars. What is distorting our economy is our dependency on ff. It is polluting our air our and our water. It is killing our children in these stupid wars for oil. Which trump wants to start in Iran and Venezuela now. It is killing our planet with the climate crisis. It is time to wake up and switch to renewable energy.

If you don't believe that look at the internet it started as the military defense network. Look at DARPA and all the advances that came from the government funding there. NASA and the space program in the 60 pushed technology forward again government funded. WWII military spending revolutionized manufacturing, transportation, started the airline industry and modernization farming. So if you like any of those advances including that touch screen on you cellphone that was a DARPA funded military interface. All of these things are in fact the result of the mixed economic in the United States and our government spending on socialists programs.

Those people are now frustrated because the very government that they have been protesting has refused to address their grievances and has increasingly responded with chemical weapons and increased authoritarian force. What you are seeing the failure of leadership leading to civial unrest. That is a patten we have seen the world over with failed states. Yes the trump administration has turned the USA into a failed state by exnoring the citizens. We have 50 million Americans who have filed unemployment. Which in a society where the healthcare system is linked to employment, and people live paycheck to paycheck unable to pay for a $400 emergency, means they have lost their access to healthcare in the middle of a pandemic. Those are desperate people looking at eviction during the same pandemic where there are 5 unemployed people for every job. What you are seeing is the result of a government which is so currupt that during all this wallstreet has set record highs as the federal reserve has become the buyer of last resort for junk stocks and bonds. What you are seeing the the result of half a century of income inequality which is now worse them it was during the great depression. If you don't approve of people being outraged by that you are privileged to lack any problems that the government could help you with.

Biden has said not only does he not support defund the police but that he will increase police budgets.
